Went in with a car that ran fantastic, Left with a broken car. 2016 VW Passat. They told me they didn't have my oil, then all of a sudden, they did. I let them work on the car and about halfway through they asked me to turn on my engine. After I turned it on, there was a LOUD clacking noise that I have never heard before. I didn't think anything of it because I thought "These guys are professionals and I don't see them concerned". Finally the oil change is finished and I start my car and there was that loud Clacking again. Nobody says a word. I turn off my engine and ask "Does anyone else hear this?" They said something along the lines of "Hear what?" I start my car back up to show them and there it is again. At this point I am starting to sweat a little bit. I turn it off and say "Let me try one more time to just see if it's a fluke" I start my engine and then it makes no sound and I feel relieved. Then my dash starts going crazy and beeping loud. It says I have lost oil pressure and I need to turn off engine immediately. I point int out and they proceed to tell me they are not "full service mechanics" and that "I should be safe to drive slow to the shop down the street." It was not safe to drive. I found out my car's engine was now completely busted. I reach out to them to see what to do next and they point out to me that on my receipt it says that I had engine noise on arrival! The same engine noise that I had to point out to them and didn't hear until halfway through. They covered their side without even letting me know they put that on the receipt. Now I am getting quoted $6000 to replace my engine and have been without my own vehicle for WEEKS now. Tried to give them grace to sort this out but communication stopped on their side. I have it on recording of them saying it was safe to drive, but I STRONGLY urge you to record the entire interaction yourself on ANY fast service oil change. ESPECIALLY when you arrive. I also DO NOT recommend this location. read more

Calling the main customer line has gotten me nowhere - there is literally an option for "if your car is inoperable after an oil change, please press this number" which leads you to be immediately disconnected. Consistent service and a better value than my deal shop even with the car wash they offer. Also, Anybody who complains about the service technicians trying to sell you filters, fluid flush's, or other services just doesn't understand how this business works. There was one person in front of me in line and I had to wait an hour before I even made it into the garage. The whole experience took almost two hours. Came in on a Sunday and was serviced by Jack who was extremely professional and courteous throughout the entire process. This is one of the few places open on Sunday for an oil change. For people that have not been here, you pull into the bay with the guidance of one of the employees and they change your oil while you sit in the car and wait. Literally the most efficient way to get your oil change. They also provide other services including cabin air filters, coolant, engine air filter, wiper blade replacements, and tire pressure checks. I called first to see how busy they were. Woman snapped at me, mid-sentence, "I can't give you any kind of wait time!" I decided to go down there anyway. I pulled in and a guy had me pull up to a door with one person in front of me. There were three other cars ahead of me in other stalls. I sat for 10 minutes, then went in to see what was going on. I saw two guys working on one car, nobody else there. I started asking the guy how long it might be, and he snapped at me, "I can't give you any kind of wait time!" Exactly the same phrasing. I pulled out and left. Part of the reason I left was having been presented with an indeterminant amount of waiting time. Not exactly the first time I've ever gotten an oil change. Every other place I've had to wait has at least tried to estimate. But mostly, I'm not going to be snapped at. There are too many places I can get an oil change to tolerate rudeness, especially when I'm looking to be your customer. Service is everything. Your personal frustrations aren't my problem. 1 star is far too generous for my experience. My boy took his older Mustang in for a standard oil change at the Woodridge location and he was taken advantage of. They saw a sucker...a young kid with his parents credit card so they charged $125+ for only god knows what. I called for an explanation and nobody was available to explain or defend the outrageous fee. I was put on hold, transferred, put on hold, transferred, and hung up on. They noticed two different small fixes and did them free of charge. To address the previous review complaining about the pricing- you choose where to go for services to your vehicle. But, when I called Take 5, the receptionist not only quoted me a lower rate, she texted me a $10 off coupon that i could use. When I arrived, I was greeted by Thomas and Marcus, who couldn't have been nicer and more helpful!! Very professional, explained everything in detail, and were respectful to the customers. I came in for an oil change on a diesel turbo Volkswagen, and I've had bad luck with finding the right place that would be able to assist me since my car takes special oil and a special filter that not many shops carry.
