I just had my tires replaced after only getting 10K miles on Pirelli P 0's. They recommended Continental Extreme Contact Sport with 50K mile warranty, 1 year road hazard warranty and 3 year road assistance. The tire rides 10X better than Pirelli which I purchased for 40 years. The installation was quick and done with excellence and Mavis saved me $700. They also rotated and balanced my Tesla tires which were on a new car. All my tires will be from Mavis now. read more

Recently had to relocate from Illinois to Florida (Parents illness/passing). Very unfamiliar with local tire dealers but thought Mavis would be a safe bet. Took my dad's 2021 Camaro SS in to get pricing. On my 2nd visit was informed could not remove wheel locks. Third visit I brought Chevy dealership locks (did not work). Tech informed me he "finally could remove them safely". Spent almost 5 hours waiting & watching. Very slow day for them (3 walk ins) & empty bays. Their phone rang non-stop during lunch = less work I guess. They then told me wheel locks were destroyed which I took immediately to the Chevy (Lou Bachrodt) dealership afterwards to repair/fix. Was quite upset when I left as it had become my "absolute worst tire buying experience in my 62 years". Still need to fix the really sloppy I don't care wheel weight placement. Highly recommend watching/inspecting all work they do so hopefully this won't happen to you. read more

This place is a lifesaver! It's the only repair shop that I know of in the area that fixes flat tires. I was driving on Hillsboro and my tire light went off. I clicked the button for the tire pressure and it was really low so I pulled into the WAWA to get air. Thank God the machine wasn't broken and there wasn't a line. I noticed as I was filling the tire there was a giant nail so I called Mavis right away. They were so nice. I told them where I was and what the tire pressure was and that I was on my way. They took my car in as soon as I got there. 35 minutes later the tire was patched, and I was on my way. Not my first time here and probably not my last. read more

Last Sunday my son's car had a sidewall puncture so the tire needed to be replaced. We had the car towed there too late to have the work done so they replaced the tire the following day. My son picked up the car in the afternoon and when he got home I noticed there was a missing lug nut...just the screw sticking out where the lug nut should be (see photo). So I called the store the next day and they it would be safe for my son to drive the car there (about ten miles) and they'd put on the missing lug nut. So my son went back and they put the lug nut on. Found out later it's never safe to drive a car with a missing lug nut. I called Mavis customer support last Tuesday to discuss this and was told a district manager would call me within a few days but so far that hasn't happened. read more

I asked what they were doing as I only brought my car in for a flat tire, they answered they were giving me a free inspection? I said I never asked for that .. well he said I need a new tire I asked how he could tell if they didn't take the tire off to inspect it. He answered I could just tell by the wear . These tires only had less then 20 thousand miles on them but I need the tire cause he can tell. This is this biggest scam tire place stay away . Update So I left a 1 star review for my experience at the Deerfield Beach Mavis Store.The corporate team reached out asked me to call. I did they directed me to the Regional Manager. Spoke to him he told me to go to the Fort Lauderdale store that they would resolve my issue or they would refund me. Well I paid another 990.00$ and my work van is still not fixed. They had me pay before I was able to inspect the vehicle.... Well same issue(revving and check engine light). Before I left I let the front desk know.I called and texted the Regional Manager back, he has now ghosted me. Called customer service back explained everything. They escalated the issue so the Manager would call me back the same day. Never happened. So I'm out 2700.00$ and my work van is still not fixed. I've had to rent another van several times and all because Mavis can't repair what they are charging me for? Not to mention the time effort and just plain stupidity I'm dealing with. There was a man in a white shirt walking around and talking with another person while drinking coffee. Well you know he ain't working on cars in his white shirt. I was able to explain to him in details, through our conversation, over the phone, of what has happened (basically to iterate, to my original concerns) and expressed how upset I am with the ordeal. Tom was VERY calm and was able to listen to my concerns, without interruptions. Of course .. Tom explained and went over ALL the services I received at the Mavis location. With the receipts, services rendered at the store and notes. Tom evaluated everything and provided me with a VERY reasonable resolution, which both of us agreed to. AMEN . First and last time on the place in Deerfield beach, 2 tires replacement and oil change, more than 5 hours and the alignment wasn't right, the steering wheel wasn' straight, call them end the ask me to drop off the car on next day and the car was my sisters car, she ask me to find a good place to do the service, no car on the next day for her, she parked the car in the garage and was some oil on the floor, I show the video for the Manege I believe and he's was trying to say wasn't her car, since that day the car have a leak oil under, I did a video and looks like they did not tighten the filter, nightmare and very disappointed, all set now and gonna try to bring the car for someone who can handle this. My email to Goodyear regarding service here: Hello, I purchased a set of 4 Eagle LS2 205/70/16. I got them through the T-Mobile $40/tire off promo and was very pleased at the deal. Thank You! My concern is with the installer, Mavis Tires and Brakes 377 S. Federal Highway, Deerfield Beach (Fed Hwy), FL 33441. A service manager called me after taking the wheels off and told me I need Rear Brakes, the pads are gone, its metal on metal and the cylinders are leaking. I advised him I had the rear brakes serviced on Wednesday past. He quickly back pedaled and said " oh, I must have the wrong car, I must have the wrong car." he stated he would call me when my car is ready, then hung up. He followed up a few minutes later by texting me a couple of pictures and called me back to say it was my vehicle and said "You got smoked by whoever did your brakes" . I advised him do not do anything to the brakes just install the tires. When I was checking out, he approached me and unsolicited continued to criticize the garage that serviced my rear brakes. I suggested to him that the pictures he sent me showed pretty clean brakes for 65,000 miles brakes and lubricated cylinders. I asked him why the other garage would not have recommended pads and service. His response was "Maybe they didn't take the drum covers off to see the pads" I replied" then you cleaned them?" His response "No". At this point I had enough and suggested perhaps he made a poor choice of words to suggest "They smoked me" as very unprofessional and they had clearly done what I paid for, cleaning and lube service for rear brakes. It gets better. I was reading the Tech handwritten notes on the desk which read "ABS light on". The ABS light was NOT on when I brought the vehicle in. He did not bring this to my attention, nor was it listed on the receipt for the alignment that I paid for on site. Sure enough, ABS and traction control lights were on as I picked up the car. I texted him a photo of the lights on and got no reply. Any hope of trust is long gone so I will reset my ABS and hope for the best. I will not return to this merchant. I would put tires and tooth issues in the same basket. Neither are fun and both can be costly. I recently brought my wife's Tesla to Mavis for a tire issue and my only complaint is I left with nothing to complain about. I can't say the same for my dentist visit the day before. The wife's car was done ahead of schedule and the fix was less than anticipated. We didn't have to wait days or weeks for an appointment. We called, dropped off and picked up hours later with the problem solved. Everyone I dealt with was courteous, professional, accommodating and knowledgeable. From the gentlemen that answered the phone and my questions, to the guy that inputted me in their system, to the chap that called to say the car was done to the casher that handled the bill. I don't often give any business a five star review but they earned it. We always buy our tires at the dealer but will definitely call Mavis when it's time to purchase new tires. My recommendation is consider doing the same. I wish we had found them sooner, they rock. read more

I am fuming!!! I called 2x to confirm that they had the tires I needed and could do a specific alignment on my car-I asked them for EXACTLY what the dealership said I needed... I have an electric vehicle and I know that it's not always something that every tire shop can do... I was told TWICE that yes they can and they do it all the time. I picked my car up from the dealership(which was considerably more expensive) and brought the car to Mavis. When I called at 5 minutes to close they told me the car would be ready BUT they cannot do the alignment due to it needing special equipment etc... blamed it on the call center and took no responsibility. I'm glad they told me since I might not have realized however that is a terrible way to do business and a complete waste of my time. To make matters worse, when I left my tire pressure sensor immediately went off so I figured something was wrong and went back-no, they just never reset the sensor. Very aggravating! read more

I've been coming to mavis for a few years and every time have felt that I am given attention promptly, treated respectfully and always given fair prices and good deals. Joe, the manager, is always there with a smile and is always polite to everyone. He may be stressed from having every bay busy, customers streaming in and out, but you'd never know as he always takes his time to listen to the problem you are there for and then explains what they need to do or, on the back end, what they did. Today he saved me and my whole day by fixing my flat tire pronto. He was incredibly generous, could tell I was upset and just fixed it. I use to only take my car to mavis in Deerfield and my record would reflect that. All my tires were from there. They forgot to give me my lug nut key once and I didn't notice until my next tire replacement I dropped off my car and hours later I get a call asking for it, the man at the front desk said "we ALWAYS give you your lug key back. We don't keep those here" They don't have any or carry them or have something in the back(I'm sure they have them all over) I would need to get a new one. Another visit I brought my car in for a noise issue front passenger side. They call me I come back and they plugged a hole in my tire which I paid for but didn't take my car in for that. I never said one thing about a hole in my tire. So I had them take the car back to check where the clicking is coming from. They call me back and tell me they don't know where it's coming from and won't touch it because I have an after market suspension. It was a bad axel and they literally replaced the left side months before with no complaint from them about my suspension. Another visit I needed my tires rotated and they wouldn't touch them bc the side was to worn down. (I understand liability reasons.) this week I call ahead of time, confirm my tire/price and when I could come in. The person on the phone said Tues 430 is good. I get there at 430 and the gentleman at the front desk said it's too late you have to come back Thursday since we are open till 8.30pm. OK. I come back today 2/13. I get off early. I drop my car off. I get a call two hours later stating the tech that knows how to install that specific tire isn't here today, you'll need to come in tomorrow. After I just Uber end home and then uber back with no new tires. I drive off and THERE WAS NO LUG KEY IN MY CAR. So I had to drive all the way back to retrieve it. This is literally a waste of my time and it's VERY frustrating. The guy at the front knew what size tires I needed and would know he needed that tech for them. I understand stuff happens. Terrible terrible customer service. I am from out of town and ordered 4 tires to be put on my car BEFORE I left town. I made the reservation and paid $25 to hold the reservation for them to put the tires on. Now, while I cannot fault THEM for not receiving the tires in time I can and certainly DO for their poor communication AND pathetic response when the tires showed up 2.5 hours after my scheduled and paid for appointment time. Here's what I received from Joe and Juan-- "Bring the car and leave it and we'll get it done before 6:00." Uhhhh what? I'm from out of town and can't leave it as I don't have family or friends to pick me up! Their response.... "Well just get an UBER".....From an expert who has dealt with people for 30 plus year Joe--- that's not what the customer wants or needs to hear.... Especially from one who doesn't even have an UBER account! Here ya go Joe and Juan.....Customer Service 101 This should have been your response: "I'm so sorry sir...yes I see you had an appointment/reservation for 12:00 AND as you shared you are from out of town and leaving to go back home early tomorrow morning...please come in right away and we'd be happy to get you in right away to put those tires on. We understand that we have numerous other customers waiting to get their tires done but we also know that you made your required appointment AND paid the fee to get them put on at the specified time 4 days ago!! Please as soon as you get you can get in here we will get them on. That "is" our service guarantee. I can see that service is NOT your "forte". Good Grief Mavis!! A little customer service training would be nice! I know it's no skin off your back but there are tooooo many other tire places to have to deal with this kind of crap. Stay far away.!! - I made a 9:00 appointment - I was told that it would take 1-2 hours, and suggested I leave the car, which I did. - at 1:12 PM I called, they said that they were just pulling the car in - at 3:53 they called to say that they 'searched' everywhere, but could not find the wheel lock key - another call shortly after, all is well the tech has one that fits. - At 4:30 I start my 30 min. walk to Mavis expecting the car to be ready by the time I get there. - I had to wait there until 5:50 before the car was ready. - Nearly 9 hours to install 2 tires - madness.!! - then this morning I get an email saying - "reschedule your Mavis appointment in Deerfield Beach, FL" = to make it worse my wife found the wheel lock key in the glove box.!! I did have to wait as they inspected the tires but while waiting I observed how they handled customers...the complaining woman, the man who wanted them to change a tire on his boat trailer...with the boat on it...and how politely they dealt with each customer. I had a wheel wobble (turned out to be an existing tire) and they rotated those from front to rear while replacing the front tires for new and now the car runs like a dream. Mr rip off Joe I normally don't write bad and long reviews but this time I will. First of all they don't even deserve one star . Their store Manager knows how to fleece you of your hard earned money. He will find out some other fault in your car and pull out money from you ,its not only that, he will fool you of some part that he has ordered and will keep your car for as long as it takes and then not even fix it right. They changed my transmission and starter and later I found out they broke the plate and pump which I fixed at some other place as they denied doing that.The starter which Mavis fixed blew up within a month and when I took the car back with a tow truck (as it had a warranty) they said it blew up because there was no ground and some wire was the culprit that caused a short , this they told me after the car was there for 5 days . Now Mr wise Joe calls and says it's an electrical problem and I have to take the car someplace else as they don't do electric. . So again I paid for a tow truck. Rip off , they think they can get away with anything. Even their employees know that they rip people off . I don't recommend this place to anyone please don't even think of calling them if you value your hard earned money. You will regret it .
