Came in on an emergency low tire at 5:40 on Tuesday 8/11/26, the store closes at 6:00pm. I told the guy at the counter i had a low tire and he told me "we open at 8am in the morning" didn't even offer to put air that would've took all of 1 minute. There were 4-5 techs in the bay doing nothing but chatting no cars or anything. Definitely won't do business with them again after this experience. Called about having one tire replaced. Was told the tire was in stock. went in the next morning at 8:30 and was told it would be between 1 1/2 to 2 hours. At 2 1/2 hours I checked, my car was up on racks with hood open. Asked what was going on and told that they had to go get a tire And should be back in approximately 20 minutes. At 3 1/2 hours car still on racks and told the tire just got there. After 4 hours I finally got my one tire. When questioned why I was told , the day before, that the tire was in stock, I was given the"the computer showed we had 4 in stock". If you are considering purchasing tires go anywhere else besides Mavis Hiram. If you want to experience the very definition of incompetence then by all means shop there. My experience, I needed a tire for the front left and asked the guys to check to see the status of my brakes. As well as an oil change. I got up there around 8:15 no appointment. it was fine that I had to wait 2.5 hours. But what I did not like was the fact they told me my brakes were good. Then came back and stated I need to replace my front brakes and that they would squeak after because they were new. I said no not today, just because I have a mavis card does not mean I want to max it out. I went back home and the next day my car began to squeak loud! When I drove it to the store. It had never did that before. Now I'm trying to find someone to fix my Brake cover because they bent it. I will not allow them to touch my car without supervision. I went to the Mavis at 7005 Concourse Parkway by Walmart in Douglasville. They broke my tire sensor on my Toyota tundra and refused to buy the original part. The owner pushed me to another Mavis after putting a aftermarket part on my truck after spending $755 for tires there. Their mechanics were too busy vaping and looking at their phones then worrying about my truck. I'm a disabled veteran and expect more. The owner didn't do anything and I had to call corporate and corporate didn't do anything and I'm still out over $200 to fix my truck and Mavis refuses to pay. They are the worst people I've had work on my truck in my 62 years of life. I will be suing them for the damage they left to my truck. read more

I made a reservation a week in advance because our family vehicle needed new tires before a long couple of weeks on the road. When I arrived on time for my scheduled appointment, the front desk clerk was nice (hints the one star). However, he could not locate my reservation. He then went back and forth to the garage area speaking with another employee and came back to tell me they didn't have any tires that would fit my vehicle available. When I asked to speak with a manager, I was informed the manager had the day off. I do not like leaving poor reviews, but this whole ordeal completely hi-jacked my day. I then had to spend the next 3 hours trying to locate another business who could sell me the tire I needed. Discount Tire got my business at the end of the day. What is the purpose of appointments and confirmation numbers, and reminder emails if they are null and void upon arrival. I will never take my vehicles to Mavis again after this. I was in a Hiram parking lot, to avoid an accident I hit a curb so hard it tore off a piece my tire, Mavis was the closest tire store, they said the tire wasn't safe to drive any long distance as I was headed out of town the next day, I ended up replacing all 4 tires, I knew I needed to replace them very soon, got an awesome deal, in and out in less that 2 hours, Amazing!!!!! I highly recommend Mavis Tires & Brakes in Hiram on Jimmy Lee Smith Blvd. & Depot Dr. I had ran into a concrete parking block and it caused the cover for my undercarriage to come loose. It would flap as I was driving cause a loud noise. I went in and ask could they help. The gentleman said he was not sure but he would take a look at it. I came in on a Monday as a walk in to get my tires that I purchased here, rotated and balanced. But they said due to short staffing it could take up to 2 hours, better for me to set an appointment and come back. So I agreed and set an appointment for two days later. It seemed to make better sense since I was taking time off work. I come in at ten mins before my appt time and it takes 22 mins just to get acknowledged by a staff member. They tell me I'm "late" for my appointed time. I explain to them I've been here for more than 20 mins and I was here before my scheduled time. But because I'm now "late" they've put in three other people ahead of me.??? I've been here now 2 1/2 hours and I still don't have my tires balanced and rotated! How much more simple could it be? She was over over prices on the breaks ($800), she asked for just an oil changed, to please check the air on one tire and reset the code. They took the car in, they only did the oil..nothing on the tire or code as she requested. At the time of paying they were charging her $85. About 6 months ago I had a great experience here. This go around, my first appointment was canceled by the location. Second go around at a scheduled appointment, I waited 2.5 hours and my car was untouched. I literally asked them to check the tires but needed regular rotation and balance. When I asked for my keys back, the person at the front was like "we close in 30 minutes they have to get it done by then." Under NO circumstances do I need a rush job. We got a flat tire in the parking lot in the neighboring shopping center and this was the closest place to us. The employee went outside to the car with us to look at the damage. He said it would take about 2 1/2 hours to repair. For ONE popped tire. The lifts were basically empty when we arrived and there were only 1 or 2 people there, so 2 1/2 hours for one tire was obviously a shock. Be careful and check your receipt. When I got my oil changed here and requested my free balance and rotate, I bought tires here and that's a perk, they tried to charge me for the balance and rotate. Then yesterday I went to get two tires out on my daughters car, we had ordered the tires the previous day. Only one tire came in, they charged me for the one tire but also charged me two disposal fees and two warranties for the one tire. Terrible service visit. I have done business with Mavis Tires in Jacksonville for years. My last 4 sets of tires and services for my cars has been pleasantly done with them. Moved to Villa Rica GA a few months ago. Made an appointment for an Oil Change at Mavis in Hiram. They called the day before to verify I was coming. Arrived 30 minutes early. Quoted me $140 which I thought was high but I had traveled all the way from Villa Rica and agreed. After I waited 2.5 hours I asked about my car. They said they were about to start working on it! Ridiculous! I asked the lady handling my car if they had started on it and she said they were already into it. Just then I noticed my car pull out of my original parking space. I walked into the shop and asked the Forman if they had started on it. He said they were about to begin. I told him to cancel the work order and pull my car around. I walked up front and told the rep who had lied to me that I was taking my car and cancelling the work. I was angry. She told me they would be finished with my car in 20 minutes. I said I wanted to leave. She raised her hands and said I was being abusive. I took my keys and departed. I will never do business with Mavis again. I was just getting an Oil Change service on my car. My plan was to bring my wife's car in for tires and service next month! Not happening! I have 6 grown kids and 14 grand kids. I scheduled an appointment for 7/14 at 10:00am to have four tire sensors replaced on my Avalanche. I showed up just before 10:00am, handed the keys over, and was told to give them about an hour (I had three kids with me, so we weren't going to stay; my other half picked us up) and promised to call me within the hour so we could come pick my truck up. By 1:00, I still hadn't received a phone call back and couldn't get anyone on the phone, so we drove back to the shop and inquired if my truck was ready. The assistant manager (Stephen/Steven) told me they had it in the shop earlier and it was pulled out so it should be done, but when the gentlemen helping me returned, he said they never did install the sensors and they were waiting to get my truck back in the shop. I pointed out that my appointment was at 10:00 that morning, I had specifically set an appointment to avoid having to wait all day at a car shop with three kids in tow. They couldn't figure out why my truck had been pulled out into the shop and not completed, but in any event, it was. So, we waited, yet again, to get my truck in the shop. By 3:00 my truck was done. When I went out to my truck to leave, I noticed black marks ALL over the interior of my truck - keep in mind, my truck had just been detailed and is in pristine condition; whoever had worked on my truck took no care at all in how he got in/out of my truck, so all over the door, the seats, the dash, the console (why were they in my console, going through all of my items?), the steering wheel, glove box (why were they in my glove box??), and even my floormats. I was livid. My other half went into the store and brought the guy helping us out to show him all the black marks, who went in and came back out with some cleaner to remove the marks. The guy cleaning the marks off my truck got an attitude with us, as if him removing marks THEIR shop got all over my truck - and in places they had no business touching/going through - was an issue. So, he went back inside the store just as I opened my back doors and saw black marks all over the back seats /doors as well - there was no reason for anyone to be in my back seat to install tire sensors. I had two gym bags in my back seat, so of course I went through to ensure nothing was missing. Nothing had been taken, but whoever was in my truck went through both gym bags, my glove box, and my center console (even going through a makeup bag!). My boyfriend went back into the store and returned with the assistant manager, Stephen/Steven, to explain the problem. Stephen agreed there was no reason for any tech to be in my backseat, and the condition my truck was left in (with black marks on all the surfaces) was appalling. He apologized, actually seemed quite sincere, and I appreciated how he spoke to me/handled the situation, unlike the previous guy who had an attitude. We showed Stephen a couple of small, but very noticeable, scratches that were on the right side of my truck that were not there when we dropped my truck off. I used to love Kauffman Tire but since being bought out/taken over by Mavis, their customer service and quality is nonexistent. Aside from the issues we had getting my truck completed with an appointment (and not knowing why my truck wasn't completed when it was pulled into the shop the first time), I can't imagine any car owner being okay with a shop leaving their car with black marks all over and/or going through their personal belongings. I worked for a large tire shop and we never allowed our cars to leave like that; sure, sometimes a small mark might get missed, but leaving 20+ large black marks all over someone's vehicle, not using plastic seat covers and paper floor covers, and going through their vehicle is deplorable. I can only imagine if I had something in my truck that the tech wanted, considering he went through my entire truck, it would have been missing when I looked. Fortunately, I doubt they have a need for women's sunglasses, makeup, body sprays, etc. I returned the following week because my center caps were about to fall off (I have Lexani wheels and if one of those center caps had fallen off, I'd be stuck paying $200+ to replace it/them), and asked them to tighten them. The guy who helped me seemed to know exactly who I was (though I hadn't dealt with him previously; he wasn't one of the guys I spoke with the week prior) and asked if I "found" my makeup bag (which was never missing, it had simply been gone through, along with everything else in my truck). He was condescending and very rude to me. I never heard anything back from a manager to rectify this situation, either. No apology, no attempt to earn my business back, nothing. Sadly, I had just bought new tires from them a month or so earlier so I'm stuck having to return for my tire rotations for the life of my new tires, otherwise, I would never return. I will, however, never pay for another service with Mavis after this experience. read more

Came in looking to get brakes and my tires rotated. They said my car would be ready by 6 when they closed. I had not received a call about brake pricing 30 minutes before close, so I went in to be sure they did not close and keep my vehicle overnight. When I arrived a few minutes before close(4 hours later) they had not touched my car. The manager proceeded to "test drive" my car to tell me I didn't need any of the services. I have been going to this Kauffman tire for over twenty years. They moved a few years ago and its been all downhill since. I just stopped in for the last time. Needed 4 new tires on one of the five cars I own. I was told it would be longer than 2 hours and that was probably being conservative. Anyway walked out their door for the last time went across the street and was done in 55 minutes. Maybe get back to basics and just change tires? They need to drain the swamp. Mind you I already wrote on an envelope what needed to be done on my car that they provided. The manager told me I'll call you right back and never did. Fast forward to Sunday morning they've had my car a day and a half and still have not touched the car for a day and a half. This is the absolute worst place to take your car! I bought a set of Michelin's for my truck decent price. To start off they put the tires and came back and said I i needed a $1000 for front breaks and wheel bearing. I said no just put the tires on. 3.5 hrs later I leave. I bought the warranty and three months later I had a tire going flat took it by to have it looked at they told me two hrs to look at it. I need up paying to have it fixed at discount tire in less than an hr. I called and made an appointment to have my tires rotated I get there 20min early and left 2.5 hrs later. I spoke with Zach and he squeezed me in between appointments. He gave a time to come up. I had a 4:30 appointment for an oil change. I arrived at 4:15 and asked if there was any reason my service would/could be delayed, as I was very tired. The young lady who checked me in, said no, that they had actually been slow today, so it will be taken care of soon. I waited 1 hour and 15 minutes before I started questioning what was taking so long. She went to check and came back with a quote "the car engine it too hot, and the technician is having a difficult time removing the filter". My thoughts were since I had been there for 75 minutes, the engine should be cooled down by now, but she seemed to be willing to help the technician and left the area. I did not see her again. When I checked in I also requested that the air in my tires be balanced, as a couple of them was showing as too low. She told me that would not be a problem. Another issue, when I called to make the appointment, I was told the oil change normally cost $39.95, but he would apply a $10 off coupon. I like discounts, so that made me happy. When I got there and they checked my car, I was told that it would be $79.95 less a $10 discount. This did not make me happy, but I was there, so I advised they could proceed. I waited an additional 30 minutes (now 1 hr., 45 minutes) and checked again this time obviously more agitated. I just confuses me as I've been there over the past 10-15 years and when they were Kauffman Tires, the service was excellent. This time and the last was not so good. I was told they are pulling my car out now, but waited another 5 minutes to actually check out. I asked two people at the register if they had also balanced the air pressure in my tires, and both assured me that they had. I started driving away and got to the exit, only to realize my tires were still extremely low in air. I turned around and went back and someone did come out to fill the air, but after 20 minutes, they were still off balance. It was apparent to me that the employee really didn't know what they were doing. I finally gave up and left the facility at 6:40. 2 hours, and 25 minutes after my arrival - for an oil change! I have no desire to return again for tires or any service. read more
