This is not a place that I would typically go for a purchase like this. But Yelp told me they were reliable, I was in a pinch on this side of town and went ahead and got the tires I have needed for a while. Long story, starting short: I have been refilling one tire for the past week or two and only needing it every few days. Procrastination is a specialty of mine, so I waited until it was really needed. I happened to be over here and decided to stop in. The experience was fine with explaining what I needed and deciding on tires. And granted they don't do what the 10 minute oil places do and try to get you to replace a lot of small stuff. But I still was tried to sell all kinds of parts that were already checked out by my mechanic and simple things like wiper blades. That's fine. But what is not fine is taking 3 and half hours for a tire replacement! I felt like I was there forever. And not being updated very frequently. Overall the staff was friendly. But between the upsales and an ask for a Google review when I got home, it felt very gimmicky. It's never fun spending that much money. But much worse feeling when you have to wait that long and being asked to spend even more money. read more

Came in with a tire that was leaking air. They were able to help me right away with no wait. The young man at the counter was very nice and the manager and service crew seemed knowledgeable. Everyone was exceedingly helpful. Their service crew diagnosed the issue quickly and sent me on my way. Turns out that I bent my wheel off-roading this past weekend like a big dummy. I came in to get 2 new front tires, alignment and an oil change. The front counter guy, Shalen, was extremely personable and easy to deal with. The price was exactly as quoted (online and by the shop). The time frame was excellent. The waiting area is extremely clean and so are the bathrooms. It doesn't hurt that there is a McDonalds next door! All in all, 10/10. Definitely recommended. read more

First of all, my family and I try to patronize local businesses in Irondale. My husband and I went in on Monday to have tires plugged and windshield wipers replaced, which went fine. I made an appointment for an oil change on the following Wednesday. My husband took my truck, waited an hour, and when he went to the desk to inquire why it was taking so long, the clerk told him the truck was ready. My husband was watching the truck the whole time. It hadn't been serviced at all. Which means we would have paid for a service we didn't receive had my husband not been watching. So he left. I called to see what the hold up was and the clerk hung up on me! In all of the times that we have used them and tried to overlook the constant (annoying) up sales this is too much! I will be darn if I will spend another penny in this place! Bring Tire Pro's BACK! The staff was amazing! This is definitely a downgrade!!! Heading to EXPRESS OIL CHANGE! read more

Alignment Rip-Off! They did not bother setting camber or caster. They only corrected the toe. I live less than 1.5 miles from the irondale location. They did alignment. I got home and thought pull to left but convinced myself my imagination. Had to drive next morning about 5 miles and YIKES at the hard pull to the left. Clearly not trustworthy, I went to my regular full service mechanic and they corrected the problem. They also explained that camber and castor not corrected and that it is known (based on mechanics that quit Tire Engineers) fact that TE only sets Toe. This practice causes drive and suspension issue and can cause added wear and tear on bushings. Were they nice. Sure, they were nice and professional all while ripping me off. Were facilities clean? Yes. Nonetheless, I had to rely on a different shop to fix the problem created by Tire Engineers Irondale. I want my money back! read more

Mavis Irondale gave me a quote that didn't include all the service they performed, so the bill was higher than quoted. They also performed service that was suggested, but I never agreed to. The worst part was they pressured me into buying cheap wiper blades that broke off a week later while I was driving on the interstate in the rain! I'll never go back to this business again. read more

This place started out top notch! I spoke to two of the salesmen who went over quite a bit of information with me and talked to me about my comparisons of prices and tires I had researched on an online tire website. I really appreciated them for going over all of that information and the price they quoted seemed pretty good. I got the tires put on today. I cannot speak to wait times since I dropped my car off and came back hours later to pick it up. The only reason that this place didnt get five stars is that they put the wrong tires on. I noticed it and they fixed it promptly with many many apologies. Another tire store put the wrong tires on another car of mine one time and they were not apologetic at all. So, I do plan on going back here and I recommend them but always check your tires before you leave the store, no matter where you get them. read more

I had a leaky tire, and my dad took me to Mavis to get it fixed. We went in a week ago on Friday at around 11:00, and they were quick, professional, and courteous. Additionally, their price for fixing it was very reasonable. Would use their service again. Would consider using them for other services, as well. Very impressed with these guys. read more
