Truck #2 going to Firestone tomorrow for an alignment because wearing tires 2008 same as the other 2020 because if they dont align they wont warantee so all in all cost me about $1500.00. Back tires still about 2/3 tread and worn even because they didn't touch and can't align the back. One employee tols me vring it back every 8 to 10 weeks to check as they only guarantee alignment for 90 days. STOOOO.....PIT. read more

EDIT: Appreciate you trying to reach out my guy but I hung up because it's a day late and many dollars short. I tried to get this resolved all the way, to no avail and no one budged even an inch. It's a known fact that the upselling here, and at many tire places, is scandalous. If ya'll focused more on staying on top of solutions for unhappy customers and not arguing with/screwing them over vs staying on top of your bad reviews (crazy I get a call within a couple of hours of this review when I couldn't get a single soul on the phone for days at a time when I was the one with an issue that needed resolving) then this wouldn't be here in the first place. Worst place I've ever dealt with. Fulltime, complete liars. They THOUGHT that bc I'm a woman they could try me. "You need this and that and it's gonna cost a million bucks". They LOOOOVE the whole "you have to have struts asap" spiel especially. Switched my tires out with 4 worn, different brands and told me my bolts were so worn that I needed to purchase new ones right there or they couldn't put my tires back on and I couldn't leave. LMAO. Woke up to 8psi in a tire 300 miles from home. While pumping the tire back up I saw a brass screw in the tread. Went to closest Firestone since the tires were bought from them. 3 hour wait without an appointment, like I was an interruption not a customer. Went a block to NTB 4 hour wait, same lack of customer service. Googled and found Mavis 2 miles away. They were just as busy but worked me in and I was done in 45 minutes, for just $20. With the price match guarantee they have I will buy my next set of tires from Mavis 0608 in Myrtle Beach. Super nice guys. Very compassionate, friendly, and professional. Called to order tires and made an appointment for my Jeep Wrangler. Originally spoke with Steve who set me up to come in at 10am on Friday . I was told the tires would cost $817 after taxes. I showed up on time for the appointment and was told by Brian that it would be done in 2 (two) hours. I gave them 3 hours and showed back up at 120pm to find that my vehicle had never moved (still parked in the spot I left it in with the same old tires) . I went into the shop and asked Brian why my tires weren't put on yet. Brian stated my vehicle would be going in next. To go into the garage bay . I left again and later called at 230pm and was told it would be finished in 40 minutes. I then waited to go later about 400pm. I show up to find that the tires are mounted however the balance weights were snapped onto the outer rims which you're not supposed to put on powder coated ally wheels due to damaging or scratching the finish to the wheels. I advised Brian of the blunder and that I wasn't happy with their service. Brian advised that he would fix the wheels by placing the correct weights on Sunday . No I'm sorry for your inconvenience or let me compensate you for your time. So I agreed to bring it back on Sunday. So later that night while driving to work my Check TMP sensor light comes on the dash. Never have I had this light gone off before. The tire pressure for all tires were at operational levels. After work Saturday morning 830am I decided to take my vehicle back to the shop. Brian told me that the sensor activated because the good old tire I had on the vehicle which I requested to be placed on the spare tire holder on the back of the Jeep confused the sensor computer. Little does he know I personally had all five tires rotated numerous times and never had this sensor go off before. Brian advised that the mechanic was having the computer relearn the tire sensors. While there , the tires were rebalanced and had the proper tire weights put on. While waiting on my Jeep Brian walked up to me and gave me a business card and advised that I could have 2 free oil changes. It was a nice thought on his part but I'm not sure if trust them to do an oil change if they are supposed to be tire specialist. On April 6, 2021 at approximately 8:15am while driving home from work the TPM sensor went off again. I drove directly to the shop again. Spoke with Brian before even looking at my vehicle he said "oh it might be because of the temperature change" . All the tires had 38 to 40 lbs of air pressure. Then he tested the 4 sensors on the tires and said that everything was working with each one of the sensors. Brian then said it might be the on board computer which reads the sensors " they sometimes get wet and causes this issue " . Brian finally takes it in the garage and within five minutes comes out to the waiting room , hands me my key , and says that the spare tire sensor battery must be dying. He advised that they took it off line so it won't trip the sensor. I guess I'll keep my fingers crossed for now. Still not confident about the work done. On April 6,2021 later at 11:15pm while driving to work yet again the TPM system sensor came on again. Definitely calling corporate before going back to the shop. Wonder what excuse Brian will make up this time . He has to be running out of ideas and realize somehow they messed up. Maybe this time they will own up to the screw up and take responsibility by actually fixing the problem. read more

I took my car in on the 1st of September 2022 bought four new tires and had them replace one tpms sensor on my right rear tire it was still reading bad I took it back today and had them look at it again they said everything was ok everything was working well low and behold I was watching them all that was done was a rotation so it shows another tire was faulty I call customer service and they are real rude the agent should not be working for Mavis tried call the store back but the number on my receipts is a wrong number I will never use Mavis again I guess it is attorney time read more

I purchased tires from Mavis in 2021. Made an appointment to get new set of tires. When I arrived they did not have my appointment. Do I scheduled for the following Saturday morning. I asked to have tires that would have good road traction especially in wet conditions. My main request was to have a set of tires that were quite and would not make a lot of road noise. They suggested Hankook. Brian said they were a good riding tires and were not noisey. It was a long wait for the tires. Drove home and the tires were roaring load. I stopped by the following Monday to ask about the loud tires. Brian explained that after I drive a few miles the noise Would stop. Well it's been 2 years with at least 15000 miles driven on these tires and they are just as noisey as the day I drive with Hankook tires. I finally noticed that the tire included Mavis Hankook tires on them. I guess Brian must have made a nice commission on selling me the loud tires & lying about there noise level. I only go back to Mavis for my free tire rotation when it is due. Don't trust these people. read more

I take my car to have the tire sensors fixed and an oil change. They called and recommended a brake and power steering flush. After waiting fours hours, I called a head and they said they could get me right in, they forget to check the sensors. It's a tire service store. What a waste of time. I've gotten tires here for three vehicles about five times. They're good folks and their prices are great. The only down side, and it's huge if you're missing work to get tires, is that these people can't tell time or estimate completion. So far the very best they've accomplished is to be an hour longer than they predicted and the worse was half a day! Come on, slapping tires on and changing oil is not rocket science. If you can't get to it for three hours then tell me so; don't blow smoke up my tail and tell me it'll be an hour. Time is money people. My husband took his vehicle this morning. Had a brake job back in Feb and started making big noise. Took it in last week. They said the calipers somehow melted and therefore ruined new brake pads. Told him pads would be replaced for free but calipers our problem. Sounded fair and reasonable. They ordered the calipers and told him to go back today. He did so. Unfortunately took them two hours and forty five minutes then they left it set for 45 minutes because they were "waiting for paperwork". I was there on time for my appointment at 10:30 I was told I would take about 2 hours I'm in the middle of moving and told them I only had 2 hours. They were putting on 5 tires, oil change, and Alinement. So I went for a walk I got back early about 15 mins. I see my truck over to the side and the garage was full of other cars they only had the Alinement done. I went in and they acted like they didn't even remember my truck. Follow up to this review from January 2020. Got four tires, you can read the nightmare ordeal below. But today got the " check tire light " on dashboard. Took to another tire dealer to check it out. They found that Mavis tires never "reset" the sensor for each tire, and never put stem caps on any of the tires. This purchase was the worst $800 I have ever spent. Go ANYWHERE else!! Horrible customer service. I called about tire price which I saw online then they give me another price that was $24 more per tire. And it was not the install and balancing. When I called him out on the price he said I have to say I saw that price online. Rude front desk manager and when I was told I would be done in 60-90 mins, as I sit here 2.5 hrs still waiting. If they think that good ole boys attitude is going to work it won't! Their pricing was not any better than competitors. It literally took them 10 minutes from the time I got in to tell them the problem to them fixing the issue and I was out the door. Went in with an almost new tire that had a nail in it, telling them I needed a new tire. They called me back 2 hours later saying they were able to repair the tire. My cost went from $198 for the new tire down to $18 for the repair, and they remounted the tire on the car for me. I can't say enough about their integrity, as they absolutely could have just put a new tire on the rim and I wouldn't have thought twice about it. Also, the woman handling the paperwork and appointments at the front desk is extremely friendly, just adding to the great experience I had there.
