I've used Maxi moving three times, once to move into our house and twice to move out of our house. I called around to get quotes because we had a unique situation. We had to use Pods, and we had to book two different days to move out because we had two Pods, and the city of Bloomfield wouldn't allow us to have two Pods in our driveway at the same time. Maxi Moving didn't even question the two different days even though they were coming from NYC. They were very quick to accomodate! Piece of Cake Moving did though (they asked if I was SURE I had to use two days instead of just one). The first day of moving, it was just all boxes and they were SO fast and careful. The second day was a lot more challenging though. We had issues getting a King-sized bed frame out of the small house ( we don't even remember how they got it in last time) and we ended up having to lower it out of a window. They were so careful with everything that they did, we went and got them straps to use at Home Depot since this had been an unforeseen challenge, and they didn't damage anything getting it out. Even put back the windows for us after taking them out. I could not have asked for a better team than Andrew and his team at Maxi Moving. I will forever recommend them for all of your moving needs, to make a very stressful situation as stress-free as possible. And very COVID-safe too! read more

5/5 stars! I've only had great experiences. I've had such a good experience with Maxi Moving every time I've used them, which has been about 4 times in the last four years. I've used them for 3 apartment moves and 1 office move. They charge by the hour and are really efficient with their work. They come with all of the materials to make sure that every type of item is moved safely (TVs, monitors, etc.). Any time I see them moving my huge and heavy boxes, they make it seem so easy! They can also take apart furniture at the first destination and put it back together again at the next destination. They usually beat me to the destination and never get lost in traffic. They're extremely polite and careful with my belongings and my apartment. In the one situation where they damaged my bed frame, they took accountability right away and gave me instructions on how I could file for compensation. It was really easy to receive the compensation. They're super responsive when providing quotes or coordinating moves. Their pricing is in line with other movers, but even if they were slightly above competitors, I would still be inclined to work with them because I've had such a great experience. read more

Highly recommend maxi moving. Steve is every responsive in setting up the entire move. Very easily reachable via text or email and instantly responds to your questions or updates you may have on your inventory. He is very forward and tells you what he thinks is feasible and what isn't in terms of time constraints and the number of men working. On the day of, Andre called to tell me that him and his crew was coming. All of them managed to move my stuff from a fifth floor walk up with ease and organization. Everything was packaged nicely. We then made a second stop which was also effortless. We lost a bit of time on our destination since there were no clear directions on how to unload, but andre and his crew were extremely accommodating. They were gentle with all the items, properly wrapped and pieced together every item. Only a few scratches on our bed frame, but should have asked them to wrap it. All in all, they were quick and efficient. Price was market price. We opted to not go for the significantly cheaper ones because we were concerned about the quality and we're glad we paid what we did for ease of mind. My friend actually referred me to this company and they were awesome! The whole process from the initial phone call, getting our quote and moving was all superb. Initially when I asked for a quote, they were very transparent about the costs and was very thorough with what was charged and what was included. On the day of our move, I worked with Roman Maximov and his team and they were all fast, careful with our stuff, very prompt, friendly, professional and on time. They wrapped all our big furnitures really well and they came prepared with wraps, tapes and blankets. My partner and I were very impressed with how careful they were with our TVs and mirrors. I HIGHLY recommend Maxi Moving! We had a crew of 3 guys and a 16 foot truck for a 2 bedroom apartment. (Shout out to Alex the Foreman!) They packed up the furniture with blankets & shrink wrap, so we weren't worried about any dings in the furniture. They were also very quick with the loading and unloading. Two pieces of our furniture couldn't fit going up the stairs (those pesky narrow NYC stairs) but Alex quickly assessed the situation and gave us a few options. They were able to get our box spring hoisted up the balcony!! All in all, from the quote to the move, the whole team was professional, efficient, communicative & just downright AMAZING. Maxi Moving were communicative, direct, and provided a service that was absolutely worth the money. The team helped me consolidate some boxes/objects at my old place, and they expertly protected my Peloton bike, my single speed bike, and some other strangely shaped items. The price quoted to me was spot on, with no extra or hidden fees. They reached out right from the start to discuss inventory, which I was able to continue updating as I packed, up until 2 days prior to the move. The movers were on time day of, and efficient with packing everything up. Wardrobe boxes were included at no additional charge which they packed for me with my coats etc. Everything including my grill, valuables, and plants made it in one piece to my new home, and the move finished an hour earlier than quoted. So after comparing more expensive and less expensive moving companies, I went with Maxi Moving. Setting up the move was easy and thorough, and the moving team that arrived was friendly and professional. Unfortunately, things happen and even though the Maxi Moving team packed my TV themselves somehow it arrived at my new apartment damaged. However, instead of hiding or ignoring the damage the team was very apologetic and honest enough to bring it to my attention themselves and take responsibility for it. Luckily I purchased additional moving insurance (as recommended by Maxi Moving because unexpected things do happen) for the TV and my Peloton (which arrived perfectly fine). I was able to work through the insurance company to get a new TV and Maxi Moving paid for my deductible so that at end of the day I had no out-of-pocket costs. Two things I would take away from this is: 1. Mistakes / accidents are a fact of life. I've moved many times in my life so I know that things sometimes break during moves. However, the fact that Maxi Moving took responsibility in this case and made it right is what really matters. You want to deal with a company like them. 2. Strongly consider buying the recommended moving insurance. Federal and state insurance minimums for moving companies is ridiculously low. If you have anything fragile of high value, make sure you cover it. read more

These guys are THE BEST! I was quoted for a 4 hour and 15 min move at a very reasonable price for all the stuff I had plus I was moving 25-30 minutes away. I spoke with Henry about the quote and he explained that if the move took less time, the amount would be adjusted for the exact time (my move ended up being far less!). The GREAT thing about their quote is that there are NO HIDDEN FEES. They include the building CIOs, mattress covers, TV covers, and picture frame covers! So, now I'll comment on the actual move - I moved on Monday, July 27th, which so far has been the HOTTEST day of the year at 98 degrees. Oh and of course my elevator broke at my old apt shortly after the movers arrived! I lived on the 6th floor and was absolutely panicked because 1) it was so hot, 2) I was worried the 3 guys wouldn't be able to handle all my stuff up and down 6 flights, and 3) I was concerned the price would go way up. WELL, these awesome guys didn't complain or flinch about the elevator issue. Myself and the 3 guys went up and down the stairs probably 30 times with my stuff and we got it done quickly! I really admired how they handled the 0 AC and 6 flights like champs because I was certainly complaining myself. Overall, fantastic move! Foremen/movers are professional, efficient and knowledgeable (disassembled and reassembled my dining room table/beds). Beware! I was moving from New York to another state so I carefully planned my move. Initially, the customer service was good, however, that all changed during the move. I had to confirm their arrival date and time several times prior to the move. Five guy showed up to pack my one-bedroom apartment. I asked when I could just take to receive my belongings I was told 1 to 3 days. Later that day customer service informed me that my belongings would arrive in the new state the next day. No consulting me about when I was arriving or whether or not that was convenient. I was told I would have to pay a late fee for not being there to access the property. Their ineptitude made yhe move 100 times more stressful. When I complained and asked them to delay so I could arrive, I was told the truck already left. Upon my arrival in my new state they were just to Movers to unpack in the heat. My TV, which they packed, arrived without screws & missing the cord. These guys were honest, hard workers. My past experience with other moving companies is that when you elect for an hourly option, the movers go out of their way to run the clock. These guys didn't do that at all and actually came an hour under the original quoted estimate. It was also a brutally hot and humid moving day but I don't think they even took a break or complained.
