The hospital actually referred us. He arrived home Friday afternoon and Saturday morning our nurse, Amy, telephoned and scheduled a morning visit. Amy arrived on time, conducted a thorough interview with my husband, assessed his health/vitals and monitored his incision. The following Monday our Physical Therapist, Dominic, called to schedule his first visit with us. He arrived on time, also conducted a thorough verbal interview, checked my husbands wound and started some gentle physical therapy. From there Dominic scheduled two visits per week, always arrived on time, conducted a complete assessment of my husband and gradually increased physical therapy. Dominic always left my husband with "homework" so to speak, gentle exercises for him to do daily between visits to increase strength and stamina. Within three weeks my husband was walking without a walker or cane, was stable on his legs and could walk around the block. Dominic made his final visit this morning as my husband was released to outpatient physical therapy and was also released to drive. We were both very impressed with Amy and especially Dominic. He is very easy to talk to, very forthcoming with information and expectations, and answered all our questions thoroughly. We both feel very informed and ready for the next steps in recovery. I highly recommend Choice Home Health Care for your in home therapy needs and I highly recommend Dominic for home physical therapy treatments. Unexpectedly, the shift in "sheltering in place" from COVID led me to have to make some pretty quick decisions about how to get care for my Mom. Her therapy appointments were canceled, and she very rapidly lost her ability to walk and became bedridden. I reached out to CCSS when I learned my Dad needed heart surgery, and was under strict instructions not to exert himself in any way (which included caregiving for my Mom) prior to his operation. CCSS came out to assess the home, and made recommendations on equipment and a care schedule for my Mom. They were great with communicating with *me* as well---the adult daughter who does not live with them. When the local fires threatened evacuating my parents from their home, CCSS made calls and located a hospital bed to be delivered within hours to my house as we brought them here to evacuate. As my mother's health digressed, I had no experience coordinating with hospice care, and filing advanced care directives with the appropriate agencies. CCSS has literally helped me every step of the way, with clear communication and compassion as I processed emotionally and mentally the decisions I needed to make with my Dad to ensure my Mom was comfortable. If you're not sure what needs to be done to assist your loved one with the services they need to live comfortably, I highly recommend you reach out to CCSS. I had to call them this week because I hadn't heard anything from Bethany. Guess what her excuse was? She had the wrong number! Did she try calling the alternate phone number? The only communication I received after our December 28 meeting with Bethany was a "text" on January 10 saying she hasn't called because she had the "wrong number" was too busy assisting other "seniors" and our CNA was "sick." That's it. I can clearly see why they have a "3 Star" average. Excuse, after excuse after excuse.

We have a very bright and efficient young woman from Visiting Angels in our home three afternoons a…read moreweek to help care for a 95 year old woman and to assist her partner who recently injured a knee. She does lots of errands for us including shopping for groceries, driving the patient to the doctor, going to the pharmacy, taking her patient for a short walk or wheel chair ride in one of our lovely parks. Around home she takes care of bed making and laundry and some minor indoor and outdoor chores. She is also here midday so prepares lunch as well. She is very efficient and is always on time and completes her tasks in time to be sociable and friendly with her patient. As a result, the patient likes her caregiver very much. Prior to this caregiver, we had another who was just as lovely and caring and efficient. We have loved them both and would recommend them highly for any caregiver or other job. In addition , we can't say enough about Visiting Angels and its staff. They screen and train their caregivers well and are very cooperative and understanding if there has to be a change of schedule. They are Johnny on the spot about any necessary substitution. The office pkeep us informed by phone and always give us time to make decisions. We hired them because we heard all of these good things about them. Believe me, they do not disappoint.

Came to my home just 36 hrs. after I was discharged. She set up 4 appts. the following week without my permission! And again the following week! This Co. is desperate for clients/money. None of their employees arrived with name tags, medical shirts or business cards! The visit with their so called "RN" named Bill, didn't have a female assistant to examine/evaluate me (single woman). During the visit, he insisted on calling my surgeon's office for an authorization. He lied about speaking to my surgeon who wasn't in his office! This Co. never provided a plan of services or any documentation. Only a thin booklet. In this, it explains they will take over managing patient appts. & medications! They come in & take photos of whatever they want. My surgeon knows nothing about these crooks. Wall Street Journal has published an article about the billions of dollars this Co. is stealing from Medicare. "Patients Beware & don't let them into your homes!"
