This eatery touts southern cuisine and has a very interesting menu, excellent servers and a nice atmosphere. However, things went a bit sideways once my order arrived at the table. I had the "Thighs & Fries" which are chicken thighs with French fries. Various sauces from mild to hot are offered as well with this meal. The chicken was way overcooked to the point of distaste. It was tough, dry and hard to eat. Thighs should be tender and juicy, for God's sake. What are those chef's thinking? Shop-Rite has better - ready to eat -fried chicken near their cash registers. I should've complained while there, but I didn't. My wife had the the quesadillas, and they were average in her humble opinion. But the diet Cokes were good! Went for brunch this morning and was left waiting by our server multiple times. Appalled by the $25 chicken and waffles served with only half a waffle...and was charged $11 for an extra side of HALF a waffle! Shocked and disappointment by the absurd prices and subpar service. read more

I want to love this place. The vibe and character has so much potential. The server was also quite nice and pleasant. The food is ok pub food but it could be a delicious GastroPub or some innovative rotating menu along with the standard pub foods. The beers are delicious and the jazz on a Sunday are equally wonderful. Try not to sit next to a window in the winter or you'll freeze. Maybe that's the hostess's fault. Hangar steak was delicious and cooked with a nice sauce. Home fries lacked crispy edges and tasted as though they were pre cooked and sat in a large hotel pan and scooped out of a trough and put on a plate. The scrambled eggs were premade and had no salt and pepper. They were also quite cold. Fried eggs were made on a dirty flat top. Duck hash was hilarious because the same subpar cruise line potatoes were plated with a couple pieces of duck on top. So much potential! read more

Had dinner here a few nights ago . First time there . Place had a cool vibe and we liked the southern themed menu . We ordered the fried green tomatoes and pimento cheese for starters . The green tomatoes were ok. The breading was too crumbly and didn't adhere to the tomato properly. Pimento cheese dip was ok as well. I'd say it was more cheese dip than pimento cheese but was still ok. For dinner I had the fried chicken with collard greens and a side of grits , my wife had the cod tacos and a Cesar salad . The chicken was well seasoned and fried perfectly no complaints at all other than I wanted another piece lol. Collard greens were a bit of a let down . I'm from the south and am particular about my greens and there were def. "northern" greens ‍. Grits were just meh,for the same reason as the greens. Wife loved the cod tacos and salad . Service was great and the place was clean . We were promptly seated at our designated reservation time. Nothing was bad tbh it just didn't have enough soul in it in my opinion. While the service was fine, the food was terrible. My sister and I got the egg roll starter. They're barbecue chicken. I think they forgot to add sauce, as they tasted like dry chicken in an egg roll. My sister ordered a tuna burger medium rare. It was completely well-done, which sucks because it's tuna... that basically ruins it. She didn't say anything because she was starving but I spoke up about my entree. I thought I was being overly paranoid when I tried my falafel, as the other food had been so bad so far but I made my sister try it to and she said "I can't believe they serve that to people". It tasted like dry breadcrumbs or something. So dry. In fact it was gross. I told our server who was swift to try to rectify the issue. Let's start with the positives - the flatbreads were good, the servers were attentive and willing to help out tables that weren't theirs, and the decor was nice. Sadly, our experience today just wasn't that great. I would recommend avoiding the kids meals all-together. The chicken fingers were so dry that they were inedible ... The fries were hot, but so oily and limp that I'm almost certain that they refried old fries (see picture). The Mac and cheese was undercooked (which is not a good idea when on the kids menu). Our server was not very good (the other servers were really nice and helpful though). She did not know several basic things. - Price of kids menu items: "let me check" (and she still got it wrong and charged us more than what she quoted us). - What are the seasonal vegetables for the risotto: "let me check" - Lemon wedges: forgot the first time and after being reminded, walked by our table twice with them in hand trying to find us: "there you are" when she finally did. - She does say "sorry" a lot, but to the point where it's just a word that is said with no real meaning behind it. Overall, we probably won't be going back, but if we do, it will be for the Philly flatbread with provolone. read more

Dined here this past Saturday evening before attending the movies at the local theater. The location was easy to find. Upon entering it appears to be 2 sides so your standing in a vestibule with what appeared to be a bouncer and a patron. I announced that we had a 10:15 reservation and the bouncer pointed toward the door directly in front of me. We stood at the hostess station and another gentleman arrived I explained that we had a reservation and we were immediately seated. The restaurant had good music playing with which appeared to. E a live band playing along. Our waitress arrived didn't introduce herself and asked did we know what we wanted to drink. Once our drink order was filled she asked if there were any questions about the menu. I was torn between the tuna burger & the grouper special. Inquired about what her recommendation would be, she stated the grouper so I went with that. My companion had garlic Parmesan wings with a side of fries. He enjoyed his food. Me not so much. My good was flavorless. The fish didn't taste seasoned. It was over sundried tomato risotto with a side of baby zucchini. None of it was good, I ate 3/4 of the fish 1 of the baby zucchini and was done. Our server checked on us only 1x when our food was brought to the table. We had to ask another hostess to find her to bring the ck. The dining room area was NOT busy, although we saw plenty of patrons going upstairs where the music was coming from. We opted not to got dessert. I wouldn't recommend unless you were going to the bar which we did not do or going to the party upstairs. Mediocre experience at best. read more

One of the best restaurants in town. Food is always on point, beer selection is vast, cocktails are prepared perfectly, and the staff is amazing. The food has a southern flair, but also has other options as well if that's not your style. The interior of this building is beautiful, and if your lucky you can grab a table on their upstairs outdoor patio which is lovely to dine on when the weather is nice. My FAVORITE bar in Doylestown. The bartenders and staff are awesome and the drink selection is epic. There is an upstairs and a downstairs bar, and each has its own unique atmosphere. Definitely the best scene around and not grungy or overly flashy. It's location is a little farther up Main Street, making it less noticeable to tourists and more of a local spot. We just watched the World Cup here, and there were plenty of TVs available with a courteous and responsive staff working. The selection of gluten-free drinks has been great, but with the discontinuation of Fox Barrel it would be great to see a new GF beer on the menu (Redbridge or Dogfish Head Tweason'ale maybe?). Had jury duty, so on lunch I stopped into MOMs. I liked the look of their menu with some Cajun food and was looking forward to having some Boudin, which I found out out is only on brunch menu. Anyway, nice selection of craft beers. I ordered gumbo and a Cajun seasoned burger. The gumbo was flavorful, but came out luke warm, almost room temperature. But, it was very tasty. The burger had barely any seasoning, but was a quality burger and cooked perfectly. What I found strange was that there was no ketchup or salt or pepper on the bar. So, when I wanted hot sauce for the gumbo or mustard for the burger, I had to wait to be the bartender's attention to bring it. I actually wanted some salt for the sweet potato fries, but didn't want to wait again. They also didn't have tobacco on hand at the bar. The had siracha, but she did offer to get me Crystal, which was fine. All in all, I was not wowed, but the food was good. I would like to go back and try the brunch sometime. read more

We stopped in Doylestown after visiting a friend in the hospital on Memorial Day. Just about every other restaurant in town was either closed, closing or only doing take out. So we stopped here, and it was a good thing. We started with fried pickles - slightly odd seasonings, but still pretty good. Next was a burger was wonderful and the fries were really good. Food was OK but as some have mentioned doesn't seem to have that TLC and special factor as when they first opened. The deal breaker for us was service that just didn't seem to care. Took them a while to come over. Food was placed on table but no one thought to put place settings down first. When we finished we had to get up and go find the server as we wanted to pay and go home. Again no urgency and a below expectations for service. Never saw a manager so perhaps the servers don't get trained well. Covid or not the service needs to improve. read more

They would not let our friend (close to 40) enter without an ID creating a big drama with her boyfriend after making fun of her with their arrogant snickering. Not only their staff lack customer service training but they might be some kind of racists because they would not take our friends Italian ID. He can rent a car with the ID but not go inside of this abnoxious place? We were upset and took all our crew to a bar down the block and spent a big deal of money in a that location, having an excellent time. If the owners of this place are reading the comment, your poorly trained team cost you a few thousand yesterday night. I personally asked to speak to the owners and they refused to let that happen. Also, you might want to teach your bouncers that their ego and poorly fabricated anabolic muscle talk can cost you a lawsuit. Trying to be "tough guys" with an upset boyfriend "outside" of your whole in the corner is not the best idea, he was not inside therefore their douche bag attitude mean nothing, the sidewalks are public. read more

Well they have certainly have turned miserly and money grubbing. They used to have generous portions and I think it was ok to switch sides without a penalty (I could be wrong). Not anymore. We started with the quesadillas. They were one pad on top and another on the bottom cut into fours with a very thin layer of bean spread(?) and also a smaller layer of chicken. They were bland and the pads had a burnt taste which really dominated the flavor. Well overpriced for $11. Next we had the fried chicken. I could hardly find it. While good, and the reason we came, they were much smaller pieces (2) than they served before. The crust was beyond extra crispy making it not worth the $21 either. Here is the kicker. They didn't give you a choice of sides as you were stuck with easy to prepare sides that many dislike (collards & waffles). I switched , as did my wife, and we were charged an addition fee ($3. a side-$9 total). I would not have minded, but the squash they charged extra for, while very good, wasn't even a half of a squash (1/3 would be generous). Are they serious charging more for basically less. My wife kept her waffles, but they only had about a teaspoon of gravy on them. She requested more and sure enough they said 1.50 charge. We paid the cost as it made the food tastier, but how cheap can they be. I will gladly pay for a good meal, but they were straight out cheap and overly stingy with their portions. They were so stingy with their cornbread or bread that they didn't serve any. Not your southern hospitality. The service was good so that was a plus. She had nothing to do with the cheapness of the management so she deserved a decent tip. Overall, the restaurant could have showed more class. I didn't think we were a problem or overly demanding wishing to switch the sides or asking for a little extra gravy. My wife said this was the last time for us. I will gladly pay, but let it be a fair exchange for the price I pay. read more

I am disabled and utilize a Service Dog to assist me with my disability. I went to MOM's with a friend who also is disabled and uses a Service Dog. We were told that we had to "fill out paperwork" and they wanted to see those ID's to show they were certifird. There is no certification for Service Dogs under the ADA. Nor can they ask to see any documentation. CERTIFICATION AND REGISTRATION Q17. Does the ADA require that service animals be certified as service animals? A. No. Covered entities may not require documentation, such as proof that the animal has been certified, trained, or licensed as a service animal, as a condition for entry. The manager comes over and says that he has no idea where he is going to put us. He failed to ask us where we would like to be seated rather said he has to call the owner. He was obviously upset that he had to let the dogs into the restaurant. He finally got a round table from the back and sat us there which was nice. Then to make matters worse, the kitchen got my order wrong. I ordered a plain hamburger with no cheese. When it came out it had cheese on it. I sent it back. It returns, it was obviously that the chef just scrapped the cheese off the top and flipped the burger over. A perfect situation for someone that allergic to cheese. The food quality is outstanding but costumer service this visit was HORRIBLE! read more

So I came here with friends because their website said 4 Burgers for $10. My friend called to confirm this deal before we headed over and they confirmed it over the phone. We arrived and the waiter who left a lot to be desired said no that was a misprint and the special which was 1 burger and an IPA was a good deal. For the record, I don't like IPAs. Then the special menu listed 3 burgers for $10 with any side. When I ordered my said " Brussel Sprouts" I was told that only a salad, fries or sweet potatoe fries came with it. During this Covid crisis, we were finally able to eat outside at moms. We went for Sunday brunch and had delicious French toast on a real plate, my coffee was in a real mug and I ate with real silverware! This was such a treat, and the service was great. read more

Came here for their Sunday Jazz brunch, and it was as pleasant as always. The live music on Sunday's is fantastic, and takes Sunday brunch up a notch. The Creole-style food is great, and you get a fun, complementary jar of house-cured boar bacon upon ordering. I ordered the Eggs Bayou, which is a play on the classic eggs Benedict that featured andouille sausage instead of Canadian bacon, and it was delicious. I wasn't able to have the salad on the side due to my nut allergy, and they wouldn't swap it for something else that I could eat instead so I was a little disappointed in that. My companion got The Satchmo omelette, and was very pleased with its large portion size. We also ordered a side of sweet potato fries, but the potion was so small that I recommend getting one for each person instead of sharing. All in all, really nice experience with just a few minor hiccups, none of which would deter me from coming back. read more
