It was my first time visiting this office, and I had an amazing experience. Going in, I was a bit nervous because I've had my share of bad experiences at other dental offices. However, as my appointment went on, Dr. Louie and her staff made me feel completely at ease. During my visit, I had X-rays taken and a deep cleaning. My teeth looked and felt so clean and polished afterward! I never felt rushed, and I truly appreciated that Dr. Louie took the time to thoroughly explain my dental health. In addition to examining my teeth, she checked my tongue, evaluated my bite, performed an oral cancer screening, and even made sure I was flossing correctly. It was refreshing to see a dentist who genuinely enjoys her work and communicates so well with her patients. I'm so happy to have finally found my dental office. I took my 89 year old diabetic mom to see Dr Louie because of her great online reviews. As part of the consultation, Dr Louie reviewed her medical history and current prescriptions. She then conducted a lengthy and comprehensive evaluation. Dr. Louie provided a detailed explanation on the next course of action. My mother felt heard and understood. I am very happy with the high quality level of care she provided my mother. Prior to the appointment, I called Dr Louie's office and asked numerous questions, which the receptionist patiently answered. She then set my mother with an appointment approximately a week later. I'm going to be so honest with you all that read this...I have huge anxiety about going to any doctor, even the dentist! It's just some irrational fear maybe from childhood, not sure. I had never had issues with my teeth, till one day I had cold sensitivity, for a week I thought it was maybe my new whitening toothpaste. But after a while it was making sense. So my girlfriend recommended Doctor May she raves about her experiences coming here. So I hesitated but made an appointment, turns out I needed a root canal and needed it quick. Miss May checked me out, explained in such a caring and down to earth way what was my situation. My nerves were calmed and I didn't feel fear anymore. Instead I felt at ease and relieved. My tooth was at the brink of an infection and needed some help ASAP. Doctor May got into my tooth and alleviated the sensitivity, and recommended another doctor for the root canal, since she doesn't do them there anymore. I was so happy I came in, and I will be back for my crown and regular checkups. Don't be like me and have this fear to see the dentist, come by and talk to Miss May, she's wonderful! read more

I was currently looking for any Dentist since my previous one was non contracted. I found May Louie through yelp. I went to make an appointment with her the beginning in Jan 2023. The ladies at the front desk were very helpful. Once I met with May Louie I really appreciate how she keeps track what is and what is not contracted before doing any procedure. It's really hard to find a dentist when usually they'll just do the procedure without consent and it ends up your responsibility. I also appreciate her giving me recommendations instead of coming of as it's mandatory and it has to be done right away. She is a very welcoming person and friendly . Wow. Wow. Wow.. I had the most amazing experience with Dr Louie. She is so sweet and funny. I had so many questions and she was attentive to detail and full of information that other dentist don't even bother explaining. I was nervous about the price for an implant since I've been quoted by other dentistries and she put all of my worries at ease. She explained the process and the cost, and you can tell that she is not trying to haggle you for money. She thoroughly checks your teeth and reviews your jaw joints and even teaches you how to floss!!! *heart eyes* I cannot say how much I love this Doctor! I am in awe. The sweetest doctor ever! I'm petrified of the dentist and Dr. Louie made me feel so at ease. She is also very honest which is hard to come by nowadays with insurance greedy dentist who just want a check from your insurance making false claims and damaging your teeth. Dr. Louie made sure to address all my concerns. Wanted to send out thanks and praise for this Dental Office. After becoming suspicious about my HMO "Plan" dentist (you will see about that in a different review), I visited Dr Louie's office for a second opinion and consultation. Dr. Louie spent well over an hour with me talking about my then current condition and further treatments for a serious periodontal condition that I had. Long story short, she made me feel very comfortable in a short period of time and I decided to have her finish the work that the other HMO dentist was struggling with. In four visits she completed all the prescribed treatments and I couldn't be happier with the results. Dr. Louie is friendly, personable and professional as is her staff. She is honest and straight forward and can explain everything to you so that you will have a complete understanding of your treatments. I am very satisfied and highly recommend her if you are searching for a good dentist. Update 8/28/18 It has been over a month since completing my dental work at Dr. Louie's office and I am happy to report that after 1 careful adjustment of a partial plate my bite is comfortable and pain free and I am now back to eating nearly everything I like (this can have negative side effects). I can not say enough good things about Dr. Louie. I am an actor and make my living on tv. I needed 5 front teeth replaced. And i needed them to look good but NOT FAKE. Dr. Louie and I worked with the lab to insure that the finished product was EXACTLY what I wanted. Dr. Louie was very patient and she didn't try to oversell me. In fact, there was some debate about whether or not I should do a 6th tooth and she counseled me against it (and it was the right decision). My teeth look great. Both on camera and off. And I have worked steadily since they were done. Believe me, there are many dentists in Los Angeles. But I drive the 30 minutes from Hollywood to La Puente because Dr. Louie is the best dentist I have ever gone to. My daughter is 2. I cannot even express with words how great of a dentist she is. I came in with no appointment late into the day and she could have easily just gave me a prescription for pain and sent me away but when she saw how much I was in pain she not only stayed late to work on me but she was just so kind and thoughtful throughout the whole process. My 85 mother, who is diabetic, just completed the first phase of extensive dental work. The experience could have been traumatic but Dr. Louie took the time to explain every procedure thoroughly. She treated my mother with respect and kindness. She was so gentle that my mother experienced very little pain or bleeding. She even called later to see how my mother was doing. I went in today for my first dental check-up ever so Dr. Louie could tell I was super tense and nervous, as I had no idea what to expect. She tried to talk to me to calm me down, assuring me that she was going to take great care of me and indeed she did! Dr. Louie was extremely patient, thorough, and professional.
