I stopped at May Garden very recently for dinner takeout, which is located just north of the main drag near the fire station. The full service dining room and bar has a clean and casual atmosphere with ample table seating, new tile floors, piano, and decor including lighted pictures on the walls. I ordered Combination C ($6.80 plus tax): Teriyaki Beef, Fried Shrimp, and Pork Fried Rice to go, which was ready in under 10 minutes. As for the food, the beef teriyaki sticks (2 of them) were pretty good, thick & tender marinated beef. However, I was very disappointed by the very modest portion of food for the price. Other Chinese restaurants I've been to in this area give you more tasty food for the money. The fried shrimp was mostly batter and really only two regular sized shrimp cut in halves to make the pieces look bigger.The pork fried rice (tan color) with pork cubes and onion had a very firm and grainy texture. I prefer rice that has a soft and light texture. I probably would not return here since there are plenty of options for decent Chinese food offering better value in the area. read more

This is the Worse Chinese Food I have had in Years. The Quality was poor and for the price, it wasn't worth it. I will not be going back, learned my lesson here. I have been there before but was a few years ago. They must of changed Management as it wasn't this bad previously. If you are looking for good authectic chinese food, this is Not the place to go. May Garden is the best Chinese around. The crab Rangoon is the best and super flavorful! Usually, I will order the letter A, which is pork fried rice, chicken fingers, and teriyaki meat. The meat is juicy, with lots of love put into it. the chicken is nice and flavorful, while the fried rice is to die for. The service, while not that great, is still good! The duck sauce is also good. The location sucks, but going down the ghetto also known as Bow Street, is worth it for some May Garden. I would recommend May Garden to everyone reading this! WHAT HAPPENED TO MAY GARDEN!! I used to go here pre pandemic at it was awesome. The beef Hawaiian was the best Chinese dish I ever had. This time I the flavor was bland and I received no white rice. They must have changed the crab Rangoon, it was more like a cream cheese mayo blend. No kind of any crab flavor at all. The spare ribs were the best thing and they were dry with no flavor. The worst were the egg rolls. I don't know what red cabbage crap it was, but they went right in the trash. If I could give no stars I would. read more

This was my first trip to May Garden and I have to say that this was the best S&S chicken I have ever had. The House Lo Mein and pork fried rice was awesome as well. I stopped in here with a coworker after doing some work in the area. Neither of us are familiar with the area, but we wanted something nearby and quick for lunch before a long drive back to the office. At first glance, the building was very small and unassuming...with only a couple cars in the lot, we weren't sure if they were open! Once inside though, the restaurant is very welcoming and clean. We were served promptly and the waitress was very friendly. I ordered egg drop soup and veggie lo mein. I have to say, I wasn't a super huge fan of the egg drop soup...I just like the basic broth with a few mushroom slices. This one had more of a diluted broth with chunks of chicken or pork. I'm sure it's very good, it just didn't appeal to me! The veggie lo mein, however, was some of the best I ever had. It was served piping hot with crunchy vegetables, and the SAUCE was amazing! Terrible terrible. Ordered a side of chicken wings-container was literally half full. Chicken wings were SO small, with hardly any meat on them. They were overbreaded and mushy. Ordered a C4 combination dinner-there was honestly a single scoop of rice. I'd say, maybe 4 tablespoons? It was so dry. The crab Rangoon's had zero crab meat. I mean zero. Took one apart even to make sure-they were solid cream cheese. I could have spread it on my bagel for breakfast. The teriyaki beef skewer was broken apart and splintering and they skewered the meat anyways, which was so thin a toothpick could have been used. It was also dry and hard. They also didn't include any duck sauce, or soy sauce. The container was poorly packaged and it leaked all inside my car. I will never waste time or money on this place again. We go to Mae Gardens as it is clean & the service is always good . We order tea & it is always hot & when I order a mixed drink the bartender goes to the limit to make it the best ! We always order crab Rangoon & A1's which are always excellent & more than enough food served ! It's a nice quiet atmosphere even when there are people @ the bar . Have been going here for many, many years. Food is always good, and portion sizes are plentiful. We usually do take out, and order is always ready when they say it will be. We also eat at the restaurant occasionally, and food has always been good... appetizers brought out promptly, and our meals always come out at the same time. Restaurant is clean, modern, and casual. The food sucks, they SMOKE in the kitchen while cooking, her kids are allowed to run around the restaurant and steal money and bother the customers since nobody is watching them. Stay far away from the food. If I could rate it -5 stars, I would! I have been here more than once and I've never seen any improvements.
