I last minute asked for a matching manicure bc I loved the glitter polish I chose for my pedi. My technician didn't seem to mind but I felt the mani was rushed. My toes are packed with shiny glitter with at least three or four layers. On my fingernails, only two layers and you can see my nail beds. Idk if we'll be back, overall decent service.

I paid for the $45 Deluxe pedicure and got: my cuticles overly cut, at one point (after I told her how my big toe hurt & that she went too far) she continued to the point where my toe started bleeding from overly cutting cuticle. This happened on 2 toes. When we first sat down, I asked to not use the foot pumice/scrub and she still did. Near the end, the vibe felt awkward so I gave her feedback & commented how I liked how she did the cuticle on the other big toe (and how she did not go so far inside like the ones that bled) and she responded by asking her coworker (who just walked in for her shift) to translate to me that my toenail was growing inward so that's why she had to go farther in. I've been getting pedicures for 15+ years and this was the FIRST experience where my toe(s) started to bleed and where someone has told me that my toenails grow inward.... [Google: Overly cutting cuticles that lead to bleeding destroys the skin's protective barrier, causing painful, immediate, and long-term side effects. Major risks include bacterial/fungal infections (paronychia), increased sensitivity, and chronic damage, often resulting in thicker, ragged cuticle regrowth.] I do not recommend this place. I won't be returning here. Perhaps SlaiMe Salon can be more consistent with their technicians' services (including customer service) and have their employees actually listen to the customer's requests and feedback.

The real issue still persists, why would someone need nail polish repair within 24 hours of service and then a 2nd time 48 hours later. Nail services should last longer than a day, especially with the prices that were paid.

Turns out, the problem wasn't me--it was poor prep and product quality at the other place. Cheyenne is incredible. She helped me transition from growing out my nails with Gel-X to a hard gel overlay, and her prep work is immaculate. She takes her time with a thorough dry manicure before doing any enhancements, which makes a huge difference. I've been getting my nails done since I was 16 (I'm 42 now), and Cheyenne is the best tech I've ever had. Her French work is flawless, and on top of being insanely talented, she's also a genuinely lovely person. The salon itself has a great vibe--fun music, good shows playing, and a super positive, friendly team. Yes, the prices are on the higher side, but the quality more than justifies it, and they're willing to work within your budget if needed. This place is a hidden gem. I won't go anywhere else.
