Very nice theater!! This was my first time to this theater, my friends who were with me have been here a few times before. The lobby was nicely lit, very clean & welcoming. The concession counter was all stocked up & calling our names. Got the Kids Pack (popcorn, fruit snack & small drink) $5.50, Tuesday special is $2.00 Hot Dogs, couldn't pass that up. The popcorn & hot dog were very good. The theater where our movie was showing was very nice, great sound system. Will definitely be going back again & again. I wish I could give negative stars. This is one of the worst theaters I've ever been to in my life. Paid for five tickets to the MPX with the recliners that are advertised in the pictures for this theater. Bought five large popcorn's and drinks. Everything seemed to be going well until we go to fill the drinks. Three machines, one doesn't work, one doesn't have ice and the last doesn't have coke. Once the drinks are finally filled(15+ minutes) we get to attempt to find a lid that fits. Go figure not a single lid fits the cups. Once we enter the theater we immediately noticed that the seats are 100% not what is being advertised. These are not reclining chairs. Rips on every armrest, sticky floor, and burnt popcorn. This place is a joke and I will never take my family here again. I will never recommend this theatre to anyone, ever. Save your money and go to a different venue. read more

I went to see Deadpool and Wolverine with my boyfriend on 7/30/2024 and I had a great time. I purchased the tickets online and was able to pick out good seats in the middle row. The price was good because it was family night so I paid less which was a nice surprise. Upon arriving at the theater, I showed my phone to the ticket taker and she scanned my phone. It was seamless which I appreciate. We found our way to the concession stand and purchased popcorn and made our way to the theater. The movie was great and so was our experience. I have come here a couple times and have been very impressed with the upkeep of this theatre. It's very spacious, the rooms are always clean and the bathrooms are always nice and clean. The seats are very comfortable since it's relatively new, and I really have no complaints. Also I realized they have the children rooms and cry room and the party rooms for kids, which since I have a little now, seems to be a great option. I am always worried how loud my little would be if we attempted to bring him to the movies, he knows no such thing exists yet, BUT when I feel comfortable, I am glad that they have these options. read more

Maya Cinema is OK! Nothing too great about it. Maybe its in its early infancy, first year being opened. But man, the whole lobby needs some color, some decor, something that will welcome the guest with a WOW factor... Everything is so widely open, and just plain white, AND FEELING TOO EMPTY, especially at the center of the lobby. I guess we can all race to the concessions; first one to reach the concessions receives a small popcorn. ;) Since its smack dead on in the center upon walking in, with such open space. As you can see on the pictures I have provided with the "Hot Dog on a Stick" Color Themed. LOL! Wall needs huge posters, art, moral painting, or some HUGE Animated LCD Screen perhaps? To fill in the white voided space on the wall. Hopefully that'll help generate some ideas to make the theater more welcoming! Only thing thats great about the movie theater is the bountiful of private lounges available to the public to reserve if a Birthday party is being held, perhaps maybe good for the kids under 11 years old, for bday themed such as "Frozen" perhaps for the bday girl, or possibly "Jurassic Park/World" for the bday boy, or even better, a "Despicable Me" Minion theme bday party for both parties who are a huge fun of the minions of all ages. We like it here. I especially like that at times they play movies that other theaters are not playing. I am very happy we have another option. The place is nice. There is not a whole lot of people and I actually enjoy that. I really like the parking. I don't care to park right in the middle of all the action. I am a country gal and drive a big truck. I need my space. I like to park behind the theater and walk through the path created by the theater to get to the front. I would love it if it was tiled yellow. It would be our yellow brick road to a fun time show. read more

This new beautiful theatre is nice except for the clientele who find it appropriate to bring children under the age of 2 who cry, scream, and make other loud noises all throughout a movie. Had I gone to see an animated film I would expect lots of annoying behaviors to occur throughout the showing, but when I opt to see Sicario, a R-rated movie (which warns of language, bloody images, and strong violence,) there should not be two tiny children watching it and screaming out alongside you for the duration of the film. If your child is fussing, it's likely because 9pm is past its bedtime and you ought to have found a babysitter or relative to watch your kid instead of subjecting everyone else to its outbursts. This is shameful parenting and unfortunately something nobody can control. What this theater would be smart to do is to make a rule that patrons with children under a certain age are not allowed to bring them in. Or, they can be given an opportunity to bring a sleeping infant/young child in, but if it cries or screams that it must be removed from the theater or risk its parents being removed and all other patrons being given vouchers to come back and see the movie for all of the parts they missed due to the distractions of the children. It simply is not fair to subject all of the other paying theater goers to negligent parenting. I just read about the "cry room" parents can reserve - which is a good idea in theory -but what do you do when there are multiple babies in the theater and it has already been reserved?! And why would you bring your small kids to see Sicario?! read more

This movie theater is definitely the best theater in the Fresno area. But some people in here need to calm down some about it; for several reasons: 1. The Seats don't recline. 2. No alcohol. 3. You can't order real food. 4. No food service in the actual theater. Visit theaters in other states and you'll see how far behind Fresno and Cali are. But aside from that, this is the best option to choose from. I came to watch Suicide Squad (for a 3rd time) and saw it in the theater that offered the loudest speakers. Yeah it was pretty loud in there. The seats were also very plush and comfortable. Food was also very cheap. One of the best things is that KIDS 12 AND YOUNGER WERE FREE!!! There are also select theaters that offer a crying room (check fandango for which movies do). I think it's first come first serve. So if you know you got some wild ass kids, take you and them in there!! Lol. I remember when the Mayan Plaza was non existent now we have this beautiful plaza that provides entertainment and food for us foodies. I am not a huge movie goer but I'll make the exception to go if it is a movie that I want to see. I came here to see The Purge and The Incredibles 2. I have not had any problems with with this movie theater and tickets are reasonably priced. The show times appear to be good no complaints. The food is expensive which is probably why the tickets are so cheap. I really love this Theater as the movies start about 5 minutes after the start time. So if you are late you will probably miss parts of the movie. The seats are comfortable and the staff is friendly. They do not check your bags so you can sneak in food if you want but at your own risk! However I can see how not checking bags can pose a safety risk. The drinks are good and pop corn is delicious, no extra butter required at all. They accept Fandango as I believe most movie places do every where. I will definitely return if I have the urge to see a movie. Definitely stop by if in the area. There's so much you can do in this plaza that will satisfy anyone who you came with! read more

Well today I decided to watch Jurassic world 3 on my day off. And got my tickets for only 5 dollars. Now that I've been to Maya cinemas a few times I can thoroughly write a review. Maya is a little far for me, but hey so is everything else so I'll just deal with it and enjoy nice tunes while I drive. Campus Point Drive is slowly and surely becoming the next River Park shopping center. It has places to dine, catch a flick and have some sweet treats. Now back to Maya! Maya is pretty cool. Has a lot of updated doohickeys and fancy stuff as seen on Back to the Future Part 2. Show times are a hit and miss on the website. They vary depending on location even though I searched the Fresno site. Prices were cheaper than other surrounding theaters which is a plus for my pocket book. Upon entering, I noticed how ice cold it was in there on a 100+ degree day. It's always good to be comfortable. Didn't get snacks on this visit but I have before and remember it being pleasant. Terrible experience. We specifically called in advance to confirm good options: pizza, chicken tenders, fries, and hot dogs. Deep fryer was down as well as the oven. So nothing but hot dogs. However, at 4:10pm they didn't have any hotdogs cooking, so we had to wait 20 minutes. Seating area was dirty. No straws or lids for drinks. Does anyone around here care anymore? Apparently$15-25 per hour doesn't help employee attitudes or commitment. Hot dogs are ready but it took the girl 5 minutes to transfer 6 hotdogs into 6 buns. LAZY! Obviously no manager around because she only put 6 dogs on the roller oven. As I'm getting mine another employee asks if she made more than 6 hotdogs. Obviously not. Idiots! 4 popcorn machines and only 1 works. In the past, I loved this theater. No more. I'll drive across town next time to another theater. Did I complain to management? Yes, but as I expected... Nice clean theatre, wasn't too bad for a Black Friday theatre night. Our first time here as we are from out of town. They had reserved seating. I reserved seats on fandango. We arrived late and you can't change showtimes on fandango once past. So I went to Maya guest services and Ryan(female) was able to adjust it right away with no hassle as next show was in 30mins. They have cry rooms which I've never heard of and thought that was awesome. Although it was all sold out for the movie I wanted. When I got to theatre, I realized there's only like 3 seats in the crying room. There was also some VIP reservations in some theatres, not sure what that consist of. Also I don't know if there are two crying rooms in the selected theatres. The room was located on the top corner. One con, is the arms didn't move but there is a cup holder and small tray area per seat. We didn't wait in line long for concession stand, so that was nice. Also I signed up for their rewards program on the spot and was able to redeem my free popcorn using that initial visit. Will def go again! read more

2 movies now, I've noticed that you can barely see anything during dark scenes. I'm not sure if it's just one auditorium (most recently auditorium 10), or all but they really need to fix this issue. I've seen Spider-Man no way home twice now and the first one at United Artist was fine. Watched it again the 2nd time here at Maya and it is noticeably darker. The audience missed several critical scenes moments because it was too dark. Please fix! read more

I really enjoy seeing movies at Maya. It's a good, central location for meeting friends and there are good options for restaurants nearby if you want to make a date of it or grab some ice-cream or frozen yogurt afterwards. Prices are about the same as other cinemas in town, the matinees and $5.50 tickets on Tuesdays are good. Its box office and entryway are spacious. The staff are fine, I haven't had any over-and-above customer service here but I also haven't needed them to be very solicitous. I rarely buy concessions here but they have all the usual options and the soda fountains are in the main area allowing for you to pour your own drinks and refills. No alcohol license as yet, as far as I'm aware, though. There are 16 screens, most of them on the smaller side, but I like to go when it's quiet so they're great for that. The seats are leather and have lots of give so you can lean back pretty comfortably. There's plenty of legroom too. I find the sound can be really loud here, especially if it's a quieter screening, though by the time the movie is running I haven't been particularly uncomfortable. Maybe the commercials are just extra loud. One thing I'd be wary of is to check when there are events on at Save Mart Center across the street. Campus Pointe parking isn't supposed to be used for events, but it isn't enforced so inevitably it is. One night I got stuck in line to leave the parking lot for over an hour. read more

I normally have a great experience at Maya Cinemas but this time was not the same. I purchased 2 tickets to see Jurassic World last Friday and unfortunately became sick. I searched online and if I had purchased on the website apparently I could get a refund, but since I purchased on the app I couldn't. I called and told then I was sick and wanted to see if I can use my tickets at a different time and was told no. I asked if I can get a refund and they said yes but only if you come in before the movie begins. How am I supposed to drive over there when I'm sick with food poisoning?! It makes no sense. I sent an email on the website over the weekend because it's not ok, I should be able to transfer my tickets. Other apps allow you to get a refund without a problem. This place is big!! Well, I guess every movie theatre is big, but this one seems extra big! I like the seating area on the side. Great location! Mad Duck, and Beach Hut Deli are walking distance and they have a massive parking lot! I have been here three times and the movie has never been sold out, or too crowded in the theatre! Fantastic movie house addition to the Fresno metropolitan for things to do, particularly for Fresno State students. It is new and it has a spacious lobby. The movie house is: impressive, has friendly staff, has great food and beverage selection and clearly updated for the 20th century, seats are comfortable-clean-wide and new, sound system is perfectly sound and crisp, the pictures are crystal clear, bathroom clean and pristine with initiative for the environment, and finally there is even a private hall/room for parties and events. I actually like this new addition, I was not like overly impressed with the overall look of the lobby and I will tell you why but it is a very job well done as a whole. I went for $5.50 Tuesdays, and I took advantage of watching 3 movies for the lower price - San Andreas, Jurassic World and Insidious 3. I was very happy with all my 3 screenings and their seats, air conditioning was perfect, sound system and hallways was clean, nice smelling and staff was friendly to help me. Their seats is black leather and had good plush, which makes it very comfortable to seat for a 1-2 hours movie. Also they don't dim the lights until screening, which is perfect. The movie will normally start 10 minute after time scheduled, so if your late 10 minutes you have nothing to worry about. I also tried the MPX on Tuesday for Jurassic World - it is slightly more expensive at $10, but its really worth it because the seats are nicer, with a wooden table for snack and drinks on every seat, its wider too, but most importantly the screen is gigantic like a dinosaur. Really awesome, and sound system was spot on. Popcorn Combo for $13.50 includes a huge barrel of tasty butter popcorn and a huge cup of soda. The unique thing here is that you can add more butter and salt to your barrel if you desire, they have that bar on the side. To be honest you don't need that because the popcorn already taste great! In addition the fountain drinks machine allows you to choose any drinks from the coke brand of your choice which is amazing and add as much as you want. Their bathroom is absolutely beautiful and environmental friendly. Their sinks are equipped with state of the art touch motion system, where your soap and sink automatically dispense as your hands hover the station. In addition the hand dryer will ensure your hands are bacteria free with the UV light technology. The urinal was a water saving one, so great effort there. The only suggestions would be a more lively lobby and maybe some excitement to the lobby, it is a little plain right now. Maybe a 3'D projection of movies shown or perhaps some seatings or maybe a centre piece like a Mayan god or something. Something to make it signature Maya and uniquely maya. Like people would know this is maya cinemas if we showed them or took pictures here. Also maybe if maya could have like a gold class cinema - a little more premium prices, where people would have the exclusivity to have like reclining chairs and service , it would be like the first class service for cinemas, that would be awesome ! read more

This was our first time watching a movie at the Maya Cinema. We were positively impressed with the facility, and the staff that worked there. It is very big and airy. Unfortunately, the movie we picked was awful! (The Favourite.). The customer service office was great. We were able to purchase our tickets there and use their phone. ( I left my cell phone at home!). The seating was spacious and comfortable. Parking was fairly easy. There are so many places to eat located in the mall. Very convenient and a great selection of restaurants. We will be back! read more

Maya Cinemas have been open for a couple of years, and this is actually the first time that I have ever gone there to watch a movie. I have visited eateries around the cinema, however, have never gone inside. Maya Cinemas is located in the Campus Point shopping area on Shaw Avenue between Fresno State University, and Freeway 168 (East of the Save Mart Center). There is plenty of parking because there are many restaurants in this shopping center. There are also additional parking in the rear of the cinema as well. The atmosphere here is great. The cinema's snack area similar to other large cinema chains. For the expensive price of $20, you'll get a large popcorn, and two large fountain drinks. The good part is, you can come back for as many refills of popcorn and fountain drinks you want. The fountain drink machines are the ones that you can select a variety of choices from a touch screen. It's an all in one machine. One unique thing about this movie cinema is that they have what they call "Cry Rooms." If you have small infants/toddlers that sometimes cry or are tired of watching what's on the big screen, you can request a "Cry Room." This room is located at the top of the theater with a plexiglass in front of it. The only thing about this room is that you'll have to go and reserve it from guest services. If it's already taken, you're out of luck. The seats of the theatre are comfortable. The back of the seat leans back a little. There is a cup holder on each side of the seat, and the surface space on that is good enough to hold a large cup of popcorn. Restrooms are clean and stocked. The sink area is very high tech. The soap dispenser, water, and hand dryer are all a part of one unit. If you get lucky, there are also private restrooms for both men/women usage. Overall, Maya Cinema is a great place to enjoy new movies and classics. Their facility is in great condition. The employees are friendly. I like it. read more

This place is AMAZING! They have self-serve futuristic Coke machines. I can put my own butter so I can put as much as I want... and Tapatio! I saw Tomorrowland and in Dolby Atmos which is the best sound I've EVER heard. The seat are reclining and leather and had a nice wide arm rest. The staff was pretty friendly. It took me a minute to figure out the fancy motion sensor soap dispenser. I was hoping to see the MPX theater but it's not finished yet.
