Rosewood Mayakobá is a true get away. This location is as beautiful as it is welcoming and has a customer obsession rarely paralleled. The resort is quite large and shares an inclusive property with three other resorts which allows you to go on long bike rides, go golfing, go on nature walks or visit a variety of different restaurants easily and safely.
The food and drinks are quite pricey, like Bora Bora where they have to import everything across an entire ocean pricey, but it is all very good. The seafood udon at Blue Agave was especially tasty. They do give you lots of nice perks in your room, wine, chocolates, little wooden figures with the folk stories about their importance in Mexican culture, which makes up for it a little bit since you get lots of little things to take home.
There's so many things to do in the area which the concierge can help you set up, again they can be quite pricey but I found they were all good quality, just don't do anything that starts with "X" - which they try to steer you away from. Make sure you go to the "friends and family" event on Thursdays if you're there, free food and drinks and all the higher ups of the resort are there to get feedback or just hang out and chat. Also if you're there for a "Mexican grill" night it's a must-do the food, live music and beach dining was probably my favorite meal of our trip! read more
