What an interesting place. Mayan szechuan food, but really just Chinese szechuan food with the Mayan theme from the old kitschy days. The food is good, decent prices. The noodles aren't handmade, but that's not an issue when the prices are a little less than noodle street. We got the chili oil dumplings, cold noodles with chicken (buckwheat noodles), shrimp Chow mein, and the pork intestines for the bold and cultured. Peppercorn wasn't too numbing for the non Chinese. Service was good and friendly. This place is worth supporting.

Front door facing street, parking lot on side of building as well.

Come for delicious Spciy Chuan style Chinese food and stay for the full bar and amazing beers they have on tap! Loved pretty much everything I ordered. Fried mushrooms and chengdu style fries are so elite with a nice cold beer on a hot day! Go for the spicy dumplings, Dan Dan noodles and chili oil chaoshou. Service was fast and easy! You order everything via QR code! It's funny to see the old Mayan decorations but very interesting to look at. Bonus points for checking out the design of ceiling fans!

Had a wonderful late night dinner here. They open till 11pm We ordered the spicy beef noodle soup, cold sezchuan noodle with chicken and the beef wrap appetizer. Everything was very fresh and came out very quickly. We especially enjoyed the beef noodle soup and beef wrap the most. But the cold chicken noodle was very good too. The owner was super nice and friendly. Restaurant is very bright and clean. Food is really good, great service and prices too. Definitely will be back!!

Enjoyed a yummy meal with my family at Mayan Bar & Noodle! My mom, who loves authentic Chinese food, enjoyed it. The owner was so gracious with my kiddos. Here are just some pics- our favorite was the Spare Ribs Rice Noodle (not featured bc we dove in!- also dumpling dish pic is missing a few due to hungry kids!) Wanted to share- I know restaurants at this location have had a hard time thriving. Great prices, good costumer service!

Golden soup chicken noodles, clear broth beef rice noodles, popcorn chicken and Dandan Noodles

Delicious food! Really enjoyed the Golden chicken noodle soup and Clear broth beef rice noodles - both were not spicy. Soup was light and flavorful. Can't wait to have it again. When I came the menu and ordering was on personal mobile phones. Decor is unique - love the ceiling fans! There are a few TVs in the dining area.

This is my second time having food from the new Mayan Bar & Noodle. You know you always have to give a new place a second and or even a third to make sure you where not just tasting that one time favor. From this second time food is right one I have the spicy beef noodle and also the spare rub noodle the second time. The service is spot on even a short delivery to the cigar lounge two doors down. The ambiance it'd a big space due to it being a land mark hotel space. I recommend testing it out I like the food is fresh and the people are friendly.

Mayan Bar & Grill, Aztec Hotel - Schezwan Noodle is under their soft opening currently, but they are delivering a great experience. Staff is super friendly, food is really really good. We ordered spicy beef noodle soup (yum), mapo tofu noodle with meat (solid), cold cucumber app (fantastic), fried peppercorn potato's/fries (addictive)& Schezwan hot and sour noodle soup (excellent)! They have a 25% off soft opening promo going on through 08/31. You gotta make your way to Monrovia to experience this gem.

Crispy Cucumber (Popular) Dandan Noodle (Popular) Mapo tofu

Very good food and very good service. We got the Dan Dan noodles and the Mapo Tofu and both were delicious. They had authentic flavors and you could also definitely taste the Szechuan peppercorns in the food, which we loved. Also got the cucumbers which were super refreshing! Wasn't super sure about sitting down since it was late and pretty quiet but we are super glad we ate here. Whenever we are nearby we will be sure to visit again. Hopefully they pick up more speed as they continue to stay open!

And the Alhambra location's Dine LA set was $72, the cost is slightly different based on location. We joined the waitlist via Yelp ahead of time. Long lines on a Friday night, and since it was the last day of Dine LA. Impressive dumplings 7/10: boiled well, good texture of the wrappers. The filling seemed to be only pork, no veggies, which would have been nice if there was more flavor from vegetables. The sauce was mildly spicy and mildly numbing, slight sesame flavor. String beans 8/10: wok hei flavor and savory. Could have had more garlic flavor and crispier texture of the beans. Din tai fung beans are still #1 for me! Mini lamb skewer 7/10: strong cumin flavor which I liked. The lamb was a bit dry/lean, could've used some pieces with more fat Boiled fish in pickled vegetable 8/10: fish cooked well, flaky and soft. Sour soup was balanced. Vermicelli inside Fried rice 9/10: yummy wok hei flavor Not included in Dine LA deal: Shredded potato 7.5/10: good texture of the potato, not overcooked or undercooked. We ordered the sour/vinegar flavor, it came out smelling vinegary, but didn't have much vinegar taste, mostly spicy. Definitely Sichuan style leaning Sweet potato taro ball dessert 10/10: free dessert if you follow them on Instagram and DM them (see menu photo I posted). Crispy outside which stayed crispy even as it cooled down. Sweet potato and taro were cooked well, smooth, and strong in flavor, not artificial. Not too sweet. Had a mochi like texture Overall a great deal, generous portions. Definitely could feed 3-4 people for the Dine LA. Free parking structure behind. Would definitely come back for Dine LA if they offer new dishes on the deal!

They have many classic Chinese dishes at a truly affordable price point. The food: We ordered four different dishes: green beans (v), stir fried egg plants (v), mapo tofu (v), and chicken with rice. For the first three dishes, we clarified with the owner to make this vegetarian (also vegan), which she was able to do very easily and without question. We communicated with her in Chinese, but she also spoke English to us, when we discovered that our Chinese was likely not as fluent as native speakers. Everything was flavorful, without relying on just an overwhelming amount of salt, and we really enjoyed the green beans that seemed to be cooked in fermented bean paste. I found the eggplants particularly tasty too! The service: This small store had so much business, so we did spend some time waiting before we could actually order our meal. The restaurant itself was filled with folks dining in, and there were multiple parties waiting for take out. Even so, once we did order our meal, it didn't take too long for all four dishes to come out. For these reasons, I can't say service was particularly attentive, but they were still polite and I felt like they did try to make it a good experience for us, even if it was so busy. Everything else: They accept credit card with a small surcharge. Parking exists, but during dinner time on a Friday, expect it to be full and very cramped.

On the phone, the woman didn't speak any English, but when we went, there were a couple of servers who spoke English pretty well. When we try a new place, we never want to order a ton of food in case it's bad. Luckily, that was not the case this time. We got the pork potstickers. The potstickers are decent, but something in their soy sauce or chili oil is oddly sweet and off putting. Not having a decent dipping sauce is certainly going to be a problem going forward. Do I bring my own already mixed? For mains we got their Chong Qing chicken. We usually ask for this extra spicy, but we decided to get it as is and see how spicy they normally make it. Will definitely have to ask for it to be way spicier next time. However, the taste was quite good in my opinion. One of my cohorts felt it was sweet, but the rest of us didn't notice or at least mind any sweetness. We also got the Farmer's Pork, which was excellent. Now, this popular dish is made with pork belly, so most places will have meat full of fat, which some Asian people like but I do not. This place had cleaned all their pork belly so it was incredibly lean, and I was there for it. Absolutely appreciated this, as I want to eat meat, not fat. I strongly recommend both of these entrees. I look forward to going back again to try more dishes, but I'm gonna need a solution to the potsticker dipping sauce problem. I hope the sweetness wasn't in the potstickers themselves. That would be bizarre. Anyway, I do recommend trying this place. Also notice some other reviewer went off on the XLB not saying they have peanuts in them. The menu specifically states (unless it was reprinted in the last two months) the XLB have peanuts in them. Give this place a shot. It may not be the absolute best in the SGV, but from what we tried it seems pretty darn decent. Go!

We ordered the Xiao Long Bao, they contained peanut butter, which was NOT disclosed on the menu or by the staff. My son has a peanut allergy and experienced a severe reaction--his mouth swelled up, his throat became itchy, and he developed a painful rash. This is completely unacceptable and dangerous. To make matters worse, the overall experience was a disaster. The service was incredibly slow, and they completely missed several dishes we ordered. When the "famous" Boiled Fish finally arrived, it was utterly bland and had no flavor at all. I am extremely disappointed and concerned about this establishment's lack of transparency regarding allergens. If you have food allergies, please be extremely careful or avoid this place entirely. We will be taking this matter very seriously.

Food: Be aware that lanzhou beef noodle soup is different than the taiwan one that is more popular. This has a lighter broth and they have a wide variety of noodles. I would get the spicy since it was not too spicy and it was more flavorful than the non spicy version.

I am in LOVE. Never did I ever imagine I would love a hot pot place as much as I do here. Usually…read moreI'm a big proponent of making hot pot at home - but YGF is truly a very delicious experience. I got the tomato broth and loved it! I love all the sauces that they have and appreciate the satay sauce, black vinegar, and sesame sauce. If you order a rice, they really pile it on which is so nice of them! They have a stamp card if you want to be a regular. It's so packed on the weekends during mealtimes. I wish they had more restrooms though because the line can get long.

After entering you get a bowl and place items you want in your soup in it to get weighed. The noodles are all dispersed on top of the counter and in the middle. It's not really organize sequentially. Anyway after weighing you get told a table to sit at and then wait there. They give you lemon water automatically and the tomato broth is vegetarian. Compared to other Malatang spots, I'd say their ingredients don't seem as fresh but they have a good variety and a stamp card which is nice. Every 10 lb is a free lb. Sauce bar is good so somewhere I would go back to. Seating area is clean too.
