Finally this place is opened. I've been looking for a Thai restaurant, ever since the previous location in Pasadena changed owners and he opened this one. The food is super delicious with the right amount of sweetness. I tried their tofu roll and it's a must to eat with their peanut sauce. The service was great! The owner ensured we had a great experience and the food came out quick. This is my new go to Thai restaurant in Arcadia.

Thara 8 Thai cuisine has excellent Thai food. The restaurant is very small so you might have to wait. We fortunately arrived at a good time. The ambience is charming. We ordered chicken pad thai, tofu drunken chicken, and pineapple fried rice. All three were spot on. The pad thai wasn't too sweet, the fried rice was very tasty, and the drunken chicken was flavorful but quite a bit spicy. The service was fast and friendly. The pricing reasonable Be aware that they don't have a public restroom. Overall, highly recommend.

Decided to try out this new place with friends. There is plenty of parking in the back. It's located right across the street from the Arcadia Public library and in the same block as 85 degrees bakery and Xian Foodie. Inside, it's very small with only two small tables and window high seats. The lady at the register was friendly but service was mid. Maybe cause they're new but they had us come to them to place the order and didn't refill our water. Water was in small paper cups. Everything was in takeout containers. We tried four dishes and they tasted pretty good but portions are rather small for the price, even the lunch specials. - Golden bags ($8.95): 8 pieces, they look smaller in person. Very crispy and inside was savory with meat and mushrooms. 4/5 - Red Curry Chicken ($13.95): lunch special and had salad, 2 fried dumplings and rice. The takeout container had empty sections which made the portion feel even smaller. Dumplings taste like the frozen kind. Salad dressing was decent. Curry was pretty good, not too spicy and had some zucchini and bamboo shoots. 3/5 - Pad Thai ($13.95): also lunch special and only comes with salad and 2 pieces of fried dumplings. Strangely, they put the salad with the Pad Thai. The noodles were saucy but leans very sweet. 3/5 - Boat Noodle Soup ($15.95): average portion that wouldn't be very filling for one person. Had some slices of beef. Kind of reminds me of pho. Pretty spicy. Overall the portions are not big and was not filling for the four of us. There are better Thai places for better portions in the area.

This is my new favorite local Thai restaurant. 5/5 Golden Bags My whole family loves this fun appetizer. It is crispy and filled with ground chicken, mushroom and bamboo shoots. My picky eater did not mind the vegetables. It comes with a side of sweet and sour sauce. 4/5 Eggplant Curry Includes eggplants, bell peppers, basil, and choice of protein (I chose tofu) cooked in green curry and coconut milk. The curry sauce was perfect consistency, not too thick or watery, and the ingredients were generously portioned including the rice! When I order curry at other restaurants they usually have curry a la carte or they give very little rice. I will definitely try their other curry dishes next time. I have a feeling that I will find a favorite here. 3.5/5 Crab Fried Rice The rice was flavorful, fluffy, and not too oily. There was a good amount of crab, but I think I will try it with another protein next time. Pad See Ew with Tofu This was made with Chinese broccoli and had large chunks of tofu. I did not get to try it, so I cannot really comment the taste.

First time coming to this place restaurant. Place is pretty small and can only accommodates for take out but the space is very welcoming. Menu is pretty extensive nonetheless, they even got a couple lunch specials that run from 11-3! Ordered around 5 items mostly pan fried noodles dishes and a couple appetizers and a Thai ice tea. The speed they got the order out was great with only a 15 (more like 12 min) wait. Enjoyed the food but the golden bags and Mama Kee Mao were the star of the show! Overall very filling for a good price. Definitely will be coming back around to try other things including their soups.

Golden bags, a round version of an egg roll. Best appetizer ever!

Formerly Suriya Thai of Pasadena, now Thara 8 of Arcadia! I'm so glad this place is closer to me now! I have been waiting to try my favorite appetizer again for so long. Now that they have soft opened, I had to get down here to have them again! They are still as loud and crunchy as I remember! Right now there is only a bench along the wall to sit, so it's take out only. When they grand open, there should be some more seating. We ordered pad see ew and some yellow curry. My guest raved that it was better than noodle world. And that he would bring his Mom and Daughter because he lives alot closer than I do. We also had excellent, friendly service the whole time. Will definitely come back!

Swing by for a quick fix at my favorite Thai Place Thara8 never disappoint. I am Thai and this place serves AUTHENTIC THAI FOOD!!! The egg noodle with beansprout is spot on and the soup is so simple but perfect to sooth my tummy on the cold day. The roti with condense milk is so fluffy, crispy and right amount of sweet. Now.......the best of the best of the best of thr evening is.......SUPER FLAVORFUL THAI ICED TEA!!! DELICIOUS!! the owner secretly told me they adjusted the recipe to make it stronger specially for tea lovers.....and I am one of them!! On top of everything, the service is so superb and the food was fast! The place is clean and simple, music was nice. 10 out of 10 for me!

We ordered pad Thai and pad see ew Togo from this place and both noodles were extremely SOGGY! I know ordering Togo isn't always the best, but we only live two mins away, so it was basically like we were eating it fresh. I can't stand eating soggy noodles so I didn't even finish it. We ordered level 5 spicy and it wasn't spicy AT ALL! My bf and I can eat really spicy foods so we made sure to order level 5 since they said 5 is the spiciest. There wasn't a hint of spice in the noodles. The pad Thai was also lacking in color and flavor.

I also ordered the truffle wok seared noodles with beef (I liked the mushrooms in this dish). For dessert, I had the Vietnamese coffee flan and the pink mekong. I loved the presentation of the pink Mekong, and the various fruits were yummy. As for the atmosphere, it was very cozy and I took a lot of nice photos in the front of the restaurant by the pond. I'm sure they also know English and Mandarin as well. We came for their dinner special on a weekday. Their special menu had two different tiers of food prices - $10.99 and $12.99. The specials usually come with a soup and a rice as well, but the soup was sold out by dinner time. We ordered Chicken and Corn over Rice, Stir-Fried Fish Filet with Black Bean Sauce, Beef Chow Fun with Soy Sauce, Grilled Lemon Grass Pork Chop. Whenever I come to these type of restaurants, I usually order the same type of items. The chicken and corn over rice at this restaurant was just OK. It was typical and nothing special, but I still enjoyed it. The Stir-Fried Fish Filet was good and went well with the white rice. The beef Chow Fun is standard and the same as everywhere else. Can't go wrong with this staple. The one you dish that we did try was the grilled lemongrass pork chop. We don't usually order this but decided to give it a try this time. It was decent but more on the savory side. Overall, we were glad to find a restaurant with dinner specials. Given the price point and the standard types of Hong Kong styled food that were offered, I think we would return to try their other items on the special menu.

It's located on Baldwin Ave at the LAF Plaza in Arcadia (there used to be a Burlington there). We had a party of 8, so we ordered quite a few dishes: stir-fried string beans in garlic sauce, French-style deep-fried fish with basil and black pepper, shredded free-range chicken, water spinach with spicy bean curd sauce, sweet and sour spare ribs, spicy eggplant with minced pork in a clay pot, and crispy beef stew served with curry sauce. The first few dishes arrived quickly, and every dish was flavorful and delicious. We especially liked the string beans and the water spinach. The French-style deep-fried fish with basil and black pepper was addictive, and surprisingly it wasn't spicy at all. The shredded free-range chicken tasted fresh, while the eggplant with minced pork clay pot was just okay. The last two dishes took quite a while to arrive after we had already finished most of our meal. The sweet and sour spare ribs flavor was on point. However, we had to check on our final dish several times because we waited more than 30 minutes for the crispy beef stew with curry sauce. The restaurant was extremely busy that night, so they may have forgotten the order. Thankfully, the dish was unique and tasted really good once it arrived. Food: 4.5/5 Service: 3/5 Ambiance: 3.5/5 Overall, they still deserve 4 stars.

The broth was rich and flavorful without being too salty or spicy. Wish there were more chunks of beef shank and tendon but not a big deal! For me, this spot has been a go-to for years, and somehow I still find myself back here every 1-2 weeks like clockwork. If you know, you know: the T-Rex lamb hot pot is the move. The portion is generous, the lamb is tender, and it cooks beautifully in the broth. My personal combo is the creamy milk and corn broth, which gives the whole pot this rich, slightly sweet, comforting depth that pairs perfectly with the lamb. Once everything starts simmering together, the broth just keeps getting better with every bite. And of course, the dipping sauces seal the deal. I always rotate between ponzu and sesame sauce--the ponzu adds that bright citrusy kick while the sesame brings the nutty richness. Every bite feels balanced and ridiculously satisfying. One thing that keeps me coming back (besides the food) is the service. The staff here are consistently pleasant, polite, and attentive. Even when it gets busy, they're quick to check in, refill broths, and make sure everything at the table is running smoothly. Another reason this place has such staying power is the experience. Hot pot here is interactive and comforting--everyone gets their own simmering pot to cook meats, vegetables, and noodles exactly how they like it, which makes every visit feel a little different. At this point, Jazz Cat isn't just a restaurant I like--it's a place I genuinely crave. If you're in the area and looking for a reliable hot pot spot with flavorful broths, quality meats, and friendly service, this location continues to deliver.
