I liked the veggies from this place the best. I loved the wok-fried cabbage and the celery and tofu skin dish. The beef noodle soup lacked flavor. The portion was very generous. There was so much noddles in the bowl. Service was good. It's noisy inside.

For some reason I didn't notice this place has been around for nearly a year until this weekend. Went in around 3pm and it was empty. The place was super clean, simply decorated, and the staff was friendly. We got the avocado with pepper sauce that was soo good, the spare ribs in flour which was also good, lots of meat, the shredded chicken with cold noodles, the chicken wasn't enough and the noodles were way too long, but the flavor was amazing! And lastly the steamed rice cakes with osmanthasas which added no flavor and could've been sweeter. But overall the meal was great, good prices and for sure will return

Two great friends with a great meal!

Was invited here by 2 mandarin speakers and thank God I was. This an authentic chinese quinine establishment that lived up to that . The menu had many items I had never seen before and they were saying they were normal chinese food items. I was not disappointed in taking their word for what I was eating. It was all very delicious. This eatery is located in a strip mall in Arcadia where it moved because they were too popular for the previous location. The waitresses were extremely sweet and helpful understanding that I did not know the language. I appreciate that tremendously! So, would I return, yes! With my mandarin speaking friends. Should you visit here? Definitely, Asian friends or not, the food is very good!

Best Szechuan restaurant in the area. This has been one of my favorite places since high school, back when they were still inside H Mart, and I'm so happy they now have their own restaurant. Their cabbage is my absolute favorite and a must-try. The food is always flavorful and comforting, the environment is clean and welcoming, and the waitress is always kind and attentive. Every time we come, the service is wonderful. It really feels like a warm family-run restaurant, and that's part of what makes it so special. Highly recommend.

The food here is insanely good! You can customize the spice level. I ordered way too much for one person because I ordered the fish and it was too good, so I wanna try a different dish. I washed down the spicy with jelly dessert. Amazing! Highly recommended!

Our friends introduced us to this amazing restaurant. We loved the food so much that we came back with mom. We started with the cold noodle and spicy chicken with bamboo. The mild numbing spicy sauce was perfect. Next dish was the braised pork, it really melted in my mouth. The vegetables dishes were also delicious. The highlight, however, was the beef short ribs. These ribs were a masterpiece - tender, juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Service was also excellent that day. What a great meal!

While shopping at Good Fortune Market on 6th Street in Monrovia, we noticed a new Szechuan restaurant that had taken over the old Chan Kee space. After finishing our shopping, we decided to give it a try. The interior hasn't changed a bit--same as before. Service was pretty slow, though the staff was friendly enough. We ordered three dishes: spicy chicken, garlic eggplant, and Dan Dan noodles. Fair warning--they're all very very spicy! If you're a spicy lover, this place is paradise. The flavors were bold and felt authentic, packed with that signature Szechuan kick. Their menu also features classics like fish filet in spicy oil, honey duck, Kung Pao chicken, cold cuts, and more. Just be prepared to wait, as the food comes out at a very slow pace.

Double-cooked pork with black beans. Very good.

I am very happy there is a new Sichuan restaurant on the Monrovia/ Arcadia border. Everything we ordered was great. The double cooked pork, the beef noodle soup, xiao long bao. The lot. Pleasant interior. Helpful wait staff. Looking forward to trying everything on the menu.

Was about to do some grocery shopping next door and decided to check out this new spot -- they're known for their spicy fish soup. We ordered the Chinese Pickled Cabbage Fish Soup, which the server recommended as the least spicy option. The flavor was great, but even at the mildest level, it was still way too spicy for us. We also tried the Chicken in Chili Sauce -- it was tasty, though it had a hint of sweetness that felt a little out of place for the dish. Overall, interesting flavors and friendly service, but spice levels might be intense if you're sensitive!

And the Alhambra location's Dine LA set was $72, the cost is slightly different based on location. We joined the waitlist via Yelp ahead of time. Long lines on a Friday night, and since it was the last day of Dine LA. Impressive dumplings 7/10: boiled well, good texture of the wrappers. The filling seemed to be only pork, no veggies, which would have been nice if there was more flavor from vegetables. The sauce was mildly spicy and mildly numbing, slight sesame flavor. String beans 8/10: wok hei flavor and savory. Could have had more garlic flavor and crispier texture of the beans. Din tai fung beans are still #1 for me! Mini lamb skewer 7/10: strong cumin flavor which I liked. The lamb was a bit dry/lean, could've used some pieces with more fat Boiled fish in pickled vegetable 8/10: fish cooked well, flaky and soft. Sour soup was balanced. Vermicelli inside Fried rice 9/10: yummy wok hei flavor Not included in Dine LA deal: Shredded potato 7.5/10: good texture of the potato, not overcooked or undercooked. We ordered the sour/vinegar flavor, it came out smelling vinegary, but didn't have much vinegar taste, mostly spicy. Definitely Sichuan style leaning Sweet potato taro ball dessert 10/10: free dessert if you follow them on Instagram and DM them (see menu photo I posted). Crispy outside which stayed crispy even as it cooled down. Sweet potato and taro were cooked well, smooth, and strong in flavor, not artificial. Not too sweet. Had a mochi like texture Overall a great deal, generous portions. Definitely could feed 3-4 people for the Dine LA. Free parking structure behind. Would definitely come back for Dine LA if they offer new dishes on the deal!

4/5 vegan and vegetarian options are plentiful:…read more Lin's Club is a small family owned restaurant located in that cramped plaza at the intersection of Sixth Street and Duarte near the border of Arcadia and Monrovia. They have many classic Chinese dishes at a truly affordable price point. The food: We ordered four different dishes: green beans (v), stir fried egg plants (v), mapo tofu (v), and chicken with rice. For the first three dishes, we clarified with the owner to make this vegetarian (also vegan), which she was able to do very easily and without question. We communicated with her in Chinese, but she also spoke English to us, when we discovered that our Chinese was likely not as fluent as native speakers. Everything was flavorful, without relying on just an overwhelming amount of salt, and we really enjoyed the green beans that seemed to be cooked in fermented bean paste. I found the eggplants particularly tasty too! The service: This small store had so much business, so we did spend some time waiting before we could actually order our meal. The restaurant itself was filled with folks dining in, and there were multiple parties waiting for take out. Even so, once we did order our meal, it didn't take too long for all four dishes to come out. For these reasons, I can't say service was particularly attentive, but they were still polite and I felt like they did try to make it a good experience for us, even if it was so busy. Everything else: They accept credit card with a small surcharge. Parking exists, but during dinner time on a Friday, expect it to be full and very cramped.

The spicy chicken nuggets has the right amount of numbing spice, paired with the crunch of the chicken, and filled with crispy chili pieces. The stinky tofu is fried and pairs perfectly with pungent garlic dipping sauce. The portions are generous and the price is super affordable. Most dishes range from 12.99 -15.99. The duck is around $28 for the whole duck, which is amazing in this economy. It's a small store so seating is limited. I've never personally dined in and always ordered takeout. And the boss lady that runs the front of the house? She is cool, sassy and a multi-tasking queen. You can tell she puts heart and pride into serving the customers and food. When placing the phone order, she will try to make sure that the food is ready when you arrive. And she will always say in mandarin in an almost scolding tone: "hurry up and go home and eat the food. It won't be as good if you wait to long to eat it! " Honestly...the scolding makes the food taste better.

Firm texture shrimp with a good garlic pinch. Soft and tender noodles with a nicely seasoned sauce. A few pieces of steamed broccoli as garnish.
