We like the chicken wings app that has this nice curry with a hint of spicy rub and the side sauce gives this good balance of some kind of sweet chili ketchup? Our go to is the beef noodle or the short rib noodle (same same but different) and the tomato egg noodle. The tomato egg noodle gives the childhood nostalgia of the Chinese egg tomato dish that I'm sure majority of Chinese family makes for dinner. The noodles are def fresh every time. The service was friendly, fast, and transparent. When asking for recommendations, they explained their reasonings and the dish's flavors well. I tried two soup noodle dishes. The Dan Dan noodles ($15.50) had kale, ground beef, and a more heavily seasoned broth. The signature beef noodle ($15.50) was a lighter broth with a few slices of beef, and plenty of herbs. Each were very flavorful in different ways. For both dishes, I had a choice of which noodles I wanted. I went with the standard round. They were long, chewy, and perfectly cooked. Although delicious and the portions were perfect per person, it wasn't mind blowing. Additionally, I wish there was more of the toppings. For instance, there just wasn't a lot of protein in either dishes I tried. Overall, I enjoyed the food and the service was great. This one is in a grocery store plaza, next to Vons, with plenty of free parking. Larger than some of the other locations with open kitchen in back. Service was quick and helpful. Lucked out that we've found Noodle St! This one is conveniently located in the Vons shopping plaza. We love their spicy beef noodle soup, ramen, stir fry noodles and scallion pancake. We usually stick with the classic round noodles, but their knife cut noodles are good if you like your noodles more chewy. You can choose from 4 different types of noodles from standard round (chewy), small flat (chewier), triangle (chewier), knife cut (chewiest). We both shared the scallion pancake. Water as our drink of choice. Staff was very attentive throughout our dining. They came over from time to time to check on us. Food came out timely. Korean BBQ beef with rice did look very tasty. As for my Dan-dan noodle, it was soup based and not dry which was different than what I'm used to. It was delicious though. Noodles had the right texture. Soup flavor was on point. Portion was decent. Now the highlight of our meal was the scallion pancake IMHO. It was SO GOOD! Thick, flaky, and crispy with amazing scallion flavor. I have to admit it was the best scallion pancake I have ever eaten. Next time we'll have to get 2 orders for here LOL. Went here on a Friday night with my husband. The restaurant was nearly full - we did not have to wait long for a table. Everyone looked like they were enjoying their food. The service was great, the servers were attentive. I ordered the Chicken Noodle soup with the standard round noodles. The protein was cooked to perfection - it was easy to chew and break off with your teeth. The pieces are big, so you'll need to bite a little bit at a time. I love a good hand pulled noodle. This place is one of those places that specializes in it and there are windows into the kitchen area where you can actually watch or see them making the noodles fresh. There's a solid sized menu that has other entrees and appetizers, but the obvious stars here are the noodles. The service here was great and the person convinced me to get the spicy beef noodle soup even though I was worried I was going to sweat up a storm and be self conscious while eating them. Luckily, the spice level here is at a level that lets you know it's there, but doesn't cause a lot of pain, haha. I ordered mine with the standard round noodles. I also got a beef roll pancake. This is probably more than enough for a single diner as I left with plenty of leftovers for a small meal later on or the next day. Parking is easy in the lot shared with Vons. - Cucumber Salad ($7.50). This cold marinated dish was refreshing on a hot day. Even though the soy sauce and vinegar marinade didn't fully penetrate the cucumber, it was flavorful enough with plenty of garlic and cilantro. Unfortunately, the sloppy knife cuts resulted in several enormous pieces of cucumber that were difficult to eat. The portion was also a little expensive for the price. - Spring Cold Noodle ($13.50 + $4 extra protein). This dish was actually served warm, which I liked. Thinly sliced beef shank, julienned carrots, and chopped blanched kale were arranged beautifully on the plate. I was pleased to find that the standard round noodles were chewy despite being so thin, almost like angel hair pasta. The beef had a meaty texture, but lacked flavor and salt. I enjoyed the idea of mixing the two sauces to your own taste. One sauce was soy sauce with black vinegar and the other was like a chili crisp with sesame oil. - Bone In Rib Rice Noodle Soup ($19.80). This big bowl of soup was comforting on a cold night. I enjoyed the slices of soft white daikon. The clear beef broth was flavorful, seasoned with white pepper and perhaps star anise. However, it was on the oily side due to the beef ribs. The ribs were fun to eat! I had to use my hands though, because the scissors were not effective. The meat was soft, but the connective tissue was kind of firm. It could have been cooked longer. I was able to try this soup with the knife cut noodle, which I normally love, but it didn't pair well with the soup. It needed a noodle that could absorb some of the broth. I guess that's why they recommend the rice noodle for this dish! - Chicken Rice Noodle Soup ($14.80). Yummy! Noodle and broth were the focus of this dish. The milky broth was light, yet flavorful and umami. I enjoyed the thick and chewy rice noodles with it. There was an okay amount of braised chicken thigh. The seasoning on the chicken tasted more like salt than soy sauce. A less abundant amount of cilantro, green onion, blanched kale, and shiitake mushroom accented every other bite. - Juicy Pork Buns ($12.80 - 8 pcs). The xiao long bao were a bit disappointing. Several dumplings in a row were missing soup inside. The filling tasted fresh, but could have used more salt to bring out the flavor of the pork. The dumpling skins were a good thickness. The wrapper was sturdy, yet delicate, and not too dry at the top. - Pork Cabbage Dumplings ($13.80 - 8 pcs). The steamed dumplings were great! The skin was thick and chewy on the edge and delicate on the inner portion covering the meat. Each dumpling was generously stuffed with pork and finely shredded cabbage.
