I suspect there was a transaction fee or something. I didn't get a receipt so I am not sure how a 10$ burger and 3$ drink came to be more than 15$, but that's what happens when you go to the beach and don't pack a lunch. The cashier seemed to be very annoyed that people would stand on the boardwalk and look at the menu. She continually yelled out for people to get in line behind the white chains if they wanted to order. I appreciated that they had vegan options. Impossible meat is more expensive and not as healthy, so I got the vege-burger and it was fantastic. It was unwise of me to assume that I would be getting some fries along with my burger. I was a little disappointed to see all the unnecessary plastic use on the boardwalk.

Quick and friendly service. $14 for 3 chicken tenders and fries is definitely overpriced. The food was okay, probably will venture somewhere else next time.

I've wanted a Funnel Cake since the start of summer and yesterday I finally made that wish come true. I drove down to the shore just try this funnel cake and no complaints here It was everything I wanted. It was $10 to buy this funnel cake but eating that whole thing by myself on the boardwalk as people walked by complimenting me on how good it looked was PRICELESS. The absolute highlight of my weekend !!! Next time I'm going to get it without the whipped cream and possibly the Nutella sauce in on the side.

Classic beach food on the boardwalk. Try a funnel cake. You won't be disappointed. Staff is friendly too.

Wow... what a joke. First time grabbing food here and it will be the last. 10 dollars for a chicken sandwich? Fine... but barely any meat and it was like pulled chicken. But look at this portion of small fries for 5 bucks... they literally mean SMALL like kids size.

Bobo is awesome! After a long day at the beach he gave us free water for the dogs as well as some other dogs passing by. Great service and amazing food!

Great food, even better service! 11/10 would recommend! One of the best places on the boardwalk to grab a snack.

Mayfair had a really good Double Cheese Burger. Cooked very well. Crispy on the outside. Juicy in the middle. Great proportion and I would grab this burger every time I go to Asbury for sure!

    Fresh funnel! Yummy

How do you mess up funnel cake?!? You buy it here. $7 and we got a overfried batter of funnel cake that was super bland. No thank you.

The booths are on the smaller side, so if you are a big back like me, consider this a warning. Pancakes were solid, the smash burger was just okay (could've used some seasoning), and the onion ring on top was a bit of a challenge to bite through. The place itself is cute inside, service was fine - nothing bad, nothing standout. Overall: a fine diner stop

The…read morediner was super kitschy and transported you to the 1950's, but it was also very tiny and had an extremely limited menu. Between the old-timey decor and near empty dining area, it felt a bit Twilight Zone-ish. Despite the odd atmosphere and basic menu options, our server was a sweetheart, and the food was delicious. I got the Asbury Platter, which included two eggs my way (scrambled egg whites), my choice of breakfast meat (crispy bacon that I gave to my friend), home fries, and my preference of toast (whole wheat). As I mentioned, there was nothing special about these items, but the eggs and potatoes were perfectly seasoned and served in the ideal portion size. I also had ordered a mug of coffee, which was super weak and watery. I would definitely recommend skipping that and getting a brew from an actual coffeeshop instead. The Asbury Diner worked for a quick breakfast and would be a decent option for quick and greasy fare, but I would not make it a planned destination.

The views are fantastic, the atmosphere is great, and we were genuinely excited to spend the evening there. I arrived with two friends and my service dog. Unfortunately, the service was extremely slow. We waited quite a while just to place our food order, and after ordering, we waited approximately an hour for our food to arrive. During that time, my dog had not even been offered water. If you don't want animals in your establishment we were more than happy to move on. We later learned there was a shift change taking place, which may explain some of the delays, but it certainly did not improve the experience. We also ordered an Aperol Spritz that was being advertised downstairs. It arrived noticeably flat, but we chose not to complain because we were trying to enjoy the evening. To provide some context, our table ordered ceviche, sliders, and two pizzas. This was not a particularly large or complicated order, yet we still waited approximately an hour for the food to arrive. When it finally did, some of it was served less than hot. Despite the delays and quality issues, we remained patient and polite, we wanted to enjoy the evening and the beautiful setting and we were hungry after a ling day at the beach. The most frustrating part happened after we had already been seated for over an hour and our food had finally arrived. A manager approached to confirm that my dog was a service animal because he had been instructed to do so. We answered his questions and explained that we would be leaving soon anyway. A few minutes later, General Manager Connor Anderson came to our table and insisted that my dog either be placed on the floor immediately or that we move outside. What made the situation so unreasonable was the timing. We had already been seated for over an hour, our drinks had been served, our order had been taken, and our food had finally arrived. I had literally just taken my first bite of pizza when this issue was suddenly raised. Had management addressed this concern when we were first seated, I would have respected their position and made a decision then. Instead, they waited until after we had spent over an hour at the restaurant and had finally begun eating before forcing the issue. My friends and I were actually considering moving outside, but the manner in which the conversation was handled felt unnecessarily confrontational and hostile. Rather than continue an uncomfortable interaction, we asked for our food to be packed to go and left. To their credit, the staff ultimately removed the flat Aperol Spritz from our bill and also removed a beer that we never had the opportunity to drink because the situation had already escalated and we were leaving. While I appreciate that gesture, it did not make up for the overall experience or the way the situation was handled. Several employees appeared visibly uncomfortable during the interaction and seemed frustrated by the way the situation was being handled. While the service staff had been polite throughout the evening, the management approach completely changed the tone of the experience. Instead of resolving the issue professionally, it felt as though customer experience, common sense, and the efforts of the staff were being disregarded. We left feeling that the situation had been unnecessarily escalated when a calm conversation could have easily resolved it. AP Rooftop has an incredible location and beautiful views, but hospitality is about more than scenery. What should have been an enjoyable evening ended with us feeling unwelcome and rushed out after already investing significant time and money into the experience. The view earns five stars. Unfortunately, the service, timing, and management of this situation did not.
