Friendly staff, clean environment, good lighting the air conditioning on a hot day was a must! One of my daughter's best friends is Turkish and she recommended this place for us to try. It did not disappoint. I ordered the Mazajj Matcha iced with less ice, it had great flavor and was just the perfect sweetness. ( I love condensed milk and it had I think the staff said there was something else but I can not remember). I honestly do not care for strawberry matcha drinks but the one my daughter had was pretty good not too tart or overly strawberry flavored. I did not try the turkey egg pastry but my daughter enough it! I would definitely be back to try other drinks! They have a few board games to play for their customers. I have tried Mazajj before near the Galleria area and when I saw that we have one near 290 and Skinner I had to turn the car around and go even though it was close to 10pm and I knew the caffeine would keep me up all night long. It was the four of us and we couldn't reach a consensus if we wanted a coffee or tea so the cashier helped us describing some of the menu options and we opted for the small pot of mofawar in the end. We also got the Dubai chocolate and a stuffed date. Both items were delicious. A very good pairing with the rich coffee. The small was big enough to be shared between the three of us coffee lovers with multiple servings. If you are all a group of coffee lovers I would suggest getting a bigger size. The coffee had a nice strong flavor balanced with the sweetness from the evaporated milk and notes of cardamom. I am so glad that Mazajj opened up at this location. Now whenever I am in the area and want good coffee I won't have to drive 20+ miles away! read more

I've been to the Mazajj Coffee location near the Galleria before and loved it, so I was excited to try the Cypress location. This one is smaller, but having a drive-thru is super convenient. The food menu is a bit more limited, but the drink menu is the same, which is what really matters. I ordered my go-to -- the pistachio matcha with oat milk -- and of course, I loved it. It's not overly sweet, so you can really taste the earthy matcha along with the nutty, slightly salty pistachio flavor. Beautiful atmosphere, a nice little cozy hidden gem of a cafe. Staff is super friendly and fast with barista work. The owner is a very down to earth and noble man who is very courteous to customers and loves talking to you like you're a close friend. The honey comb bread is my personal favorite pastry, yummy buttery soft pull apart bread with cream cheese inside and it comes with honey, but every food item they have is delicious and high quality. The drinks not only look amazing but you can taste their quality Through every sip. The matcha is unlike any other place, creamy and ethereal. I highly recommend the iced pistachio matcha, one of my all time favorites. Their cafe does double expresso so if you don't like strong coffee you can just ask for half of their shots. Customer service was amazing since the young man at the counter was the only person that took the time to go over the menu and was super patient with us. The cafe was nice and it felt like we travelled to the Middle East for a bit. We ordered four different ice lattes and deserts which ended up costing $60. Yikes! What gets me all the time is the tip request at the end. Call me old school, but in my days, servers that took your order and brought your food and drinks to the table, periodically checked on you would get a tip from you depending on how attentive they were. Why are we being expected to tip someone for simply taking an order? I feel like if I don't tip they may be offended and do something crappy to my order. read more

After a really cool event, literally really cool I needed a spot to warm up in. Because it was later in the evening it was hard to find a nice coffee shop to go and enjoy. I was in the Cypress area and not very familiar with many locations I I found this location on Yelp. Getting there was fairly easy since it was right off the highway. There was plenty of parking. And their coffee offerings were simple yet varied. They had tons of treats to choose from to have as a snack along with your drink of choice. I did see they had teapots full of delicious warm servings you could choose from. There was a couple of folks in there probably studying or remotely working. It seemed a quiet spot to go and enjoy. Service was friendly and very fast. They were able to give me good suggestions on what to try on my first time there. I even got a little added treat of a date assortment to go along with my coffee. I had the Mazajj latte with oat milk, it's sort of reminded me of a less sugary Cafe De Olla. Overall if you're in the area I would highly recommend it. I would say make this place go viral because the coffee was actually very good!!! read more

Mazajj hours say they open at 6am, today (03/02) I show up at 6:12 and no one answers. If I pull up at the crack of dawn, it means I have to be somewhere. Did I stay and wait? Yes. I had one of their seasonal matcha's, I am not sure of the name, but it was delicious! It was blueberry and lavender and as someone who drinks a lot of matcha, I would give it a pretty decent rating. I had their mozzarella roll since they were out of their feta roll and that was amazing as well! It tastes great, it's a decent size, and its fluffy with not too much cheese that it is overwhelming. The service was fast and nice. Finally found a coffee shop that spells my name right on the first try!! The ambiance is very calming, not too many people when I came so it was pretty calm and quiet, definitely very enjoyable. I'll definitely be back with more company. read more
