I stopped in here randomly on my way to Chipotle and I am so glad I did. The smells from outside were already making my mouth water and the menu did not disappoint. When I first walked in, I was immediately attracted to the environment. They played vibey bollywood music and the LED signs all over just completed the chill and relaxation spot. After I was already impressed, I got the paneer tikka pizza that added to my initial excitement. The pizza was complete with indian spices and flavors mixed with a unique chipotle sauce that really made it a modern indian dish. Absolutely delicious. As this was our first time there, he took the time to explain the menu and gave his recommendations. We went with the lamb tikka pizza, side of masala fries, mango lassis and some homemade paletas (popsicles). Loved the pizza! The mango lassis were creamy and refreshing! Reminded me of my time in India. He told me they make those fresh as well. We walked away with a two different paleta flavors - strawberry and lime & mango and Chile. The strawberry and lime was delicious and balanced between the two flavors. I liked the mango and Chile however the ratio was heavier on the Chile and I'd prefer some more mango. I'm MISERABLE I only found out about this place after moving up to Evanston. You should eat here EVERYDAY. Literally everything is exploding with bright, spicy flavor. There are a lot of restaurants on Lincoln Avenue that are good, but just aren't that interesting or different. Moti Masala Pizza is one of those rare places in this area that is not only unique, but delicious too. First, their food is great. While I have eaten Indian food, I've never seen fusion quite like this. I tried some of their Indian inspired pizzas and I loved them. I ordered the paneer pizza and the lamb tikka pizza. My favorite was the lamb tikka pizza. They also have some traditional style pizza. I ordered their sausage pizza. It was good, but I prefer the Indian inspired ones. I also tried some of their traditional Indian dishes. I enjoyed the chicken biryani, but I liked the fried chicken momos the better. The naan was also good. I'm not surprised that their traditional Indian food is good as I heard their chefs are from Nepal. Lastly, I tied both of their mango and rose lassi. I have had lassi from a few places, but ones here are the most flavorful lassi I've had. Second, the restaurant has a fun atmosphere. I liked the decor of exposed brick, green feature wall and cool music. If you are looking for a place with good food and something delicious and different this is the place for you. read more

Ordered an 8 inch Chicken Tikka Pizza and Firecracker Momo. The crust was burnt and the sauce was below average. Was expecting to be more flavorful. I'm bummed to be writing this review but I'm hopeful that things might change for the better! My partner placed an online order and I stopped by to pick it up. There was some initial confusion about which name it might be under but once that was cleared up the cashier realized that they missed the order. They were very kind and apologetic about it, put the order in, and said it would take 15 minutes. In about that time, another staff from the back came out with an order, gave my partner's name (while the original order had been under mine) and another customer grabbed the order. My partner's name is pretty common so I figured it was just a coincidence. Several minutes later the staff realized they had given the other customer my order and I was told to hang out for another 15. I ended up spending about 45 minutes waiting around for my food. The cashier very kindly added some sodas to our bag as an apology. Although they were apologetic and likely understaffed, it just felt like both issues could have been avoided with better training and confirming orders before handing them out. The food (pizza and wings) itself was tasty but pricy. I think I could look past the price if the service situation had been better. Really hopeful the owners/managers take some additional care for more thorough training and support for staff. read more

I had heard a lot of good things about Moti so we finally decided to order from here. My husband called to order the food and was immediately asked to hold. I totally get it that Friday evening is a busy time for most restaurants. My husband waited for 10 mins on the line and no-one ever got back to him. He hung up and proceeded to just go to the restaurant and order. Food was horrible to say the least. We had ordered paneer vindaloo, garlic naan and masala fries. Garlic naan was not freshly made and tasted stale (most Indian restaurants I have eaten at never get this one wrong). Vindaloo was so spicy ! My mouth was on fire ! My husband who is a big fan of spicy food (he happily gobbles on Lao Sze Chuan spicy chilli chicken) could not eat it. Masala fries were okay. Total waste of money. I have also tried their fusion pizzas at a friends place and I don't see the reason for all the hype. Pizzas were just okay. Their concept seems unique but I was not a fan of their execution.
