Had gone shopping out in the suburbs on a Saturday with my partner and were looking for dinner options. Decided on this location based off of reviews, location, and really that we wanted some comfort home-y food (soup) for a rainy day. The lady who sat us was extremely friendly and even gave us free tea and these little cubed breaded delicacies. We ended up ordering their Buuz (dumplings) which were DELICIOUS & our favorite of them all. We split the Honinii Havirgatai Shol (Lamb Rib soup) & Nariin Mahan Huurga (Thin Sliced Beef Stir Fry). Both were really good as well. Overall had an amazing dinner here with some friendly service. I will note that the lady's young son was roaming around the restaurant being super loud and yelling which wasn't the most pleasant. Probably the only negative thing we encountered honestly.

It's rare to find a Mongolian restaurant and thus one does it well and is very authentic! Their fried dumplings with beef and onion filling is sooo good. My boyfriend likes the steamed one better, they are the same filling just different outside. The lamb soup has a very deep and rich lamb flavor that is very strong if you love lamb. Some of their popular items like one of the stir fry noodles do sell out quickly so I'd come early, I still haven't had a chance to try it yet because it's always sold out already!

Here's the instructions on how to eat there. First, I would call 1-2 days prior to coming. Just let them know you plan on coming with x amount of people at this specific time. They will take note. Next, call on the day of. I just called them an hour after they opened and confirmed that my group of x amount of people will arrive at this time. They said they will see me then. Simple. When you arrive, they have free street parking in front of the restaurant. The restaurant is not huge, they do have some limited seating if it does get busy. The restaurant is family owned. The mom was serving us. I believe she helps with her husband and daughter in the back. All of the food is made fresh. It's like eating at someone's house with a nice home cooked meal. Portion sizes were generous. Prices are cheap for what you receive. This is my second time eating Mongolian food. First was at Arvin in Niles. You also get complimentary milk tea. Mongolian milk tea is more salty than ones in your typical Asian restaurant. Here is that we ordered: -khuushuur (beef pastry) 5 - kind of like an empanada with beef inside. It's juicy too so be careful when taking the first bite. It's very hot. -glass noodle stir fry 5 - kind of like japchae. Noodles are thin with a variety of ingredients. -dumpling soup 5 - heart soup. There is some bread that you can use to dip. As shown in the picture, a generous amount of dumplings, meat, and veggies. -tsuivan (noodles stir fry) 5 - this is another must when ordering Mongolian food here. Noodles are on the thicker side with slight chew. Well balanced with meat and veggies. -lamb rib soup 5 - one of the favorites. The meat is perfectly cooked. Noodles were chewy but not too much. Good soup for any occasion. -buuz (dumplings) 5 - skin is thicker. Meat inside is succulent and not dry. Very flavorful. This and the khuushuur are musts when coming here.

Authentic Mongolian food at its best. If you're tired of the same old takeout, you need to visit Mazalae. I specifically asked for my Mongolian Beef to be prepared a certain way, and they made it exactly how I wanted! It was so fresh, high-quality, and flavorful. The owner and her family are incredibly welcoming and attentive to every detail. The portions are generous, and the atmosphere is perfect for a family dinner. Highly recommend supporting this local gem!

Great hospitality and good home cooked food. Great portion sizes good value, will return. You know that great feeling you get when you feel welcomed to a meal at a friendly auntie's home? That's how I felt with this experience was. The owner is so gracious and kind. We felt loved and welcomed. She walked us through the menu and helped us select a few key dishes that stand out for us first timers. (Not a first timer anymore and I'll be back for sure!). She served us hot steamy milk tea - Mongolian style which is a tad saltier side (goes well with cold weather and the food we had). The beef pastry (6 large dumplings) was excellent, freshly hand-made that day (they were making more as we were eating). The beef patty inside is moist, flavored with onion and the shell was nicely fried, good texture, not too greasy. Soup came out next which we shared amongst our table. It was definitely hot and steamy, a hint of dill, roasted potatoes meatballs. Heart warming for sure and the slippery glass noodles were fun to slurp. Flatbread came out and it was light and fluffy, a bit of crunch went really well with the soup. The dumplings came out and I was amazed at the plumpness and the serving size. Very happy, served with a dipping sauce on the side which brought out the beefy flavors of the dumpling. Really enjoyed our time there. It's a small shop, and it's like the owners family inviting you over for a meal cooked with love and care. I'll be back to try the noodle dish I saw another table have. Three tables were active while we were there on a rainy Friday lunch, and seems like the other table ordered exactly the same as we did. Parking on the street non-metered.

Our family loooove this place. It's yummy Mongolian food. So delicious I wish more people knew about this place and its food.

Good home cooking Mongolian food. Having never been to Mongolia, nor eaten Mongolian good before, my experience here is exactly how I would describe it, good home cooking. The restaurant has nice heavy tables that seat about 20-30 people. We went for a weekday lunch and there were 2 other tables at the time. The waitress and owner was so kind and friendly and helped us decide what to order, telling us what the popular dishes were. We ordered the Buuz, Khuushuur, Huitsaa and Bin. Everything was delicious. The Buuz are steamed dumplings, 9 to an order. The had beef inside and the filling was similar to the Khuushuur filling too. The Khuushuur was their beef empanada, but the dough was not as flaky and crispy as an empanada but still tasty. The Huitsaa was not like any kind of stew I've tasted- it has meatballs and different kinds of veggies in it with also clear noodles. And it also had dill in it too. The Bin was their fried bread which is like the Khuushuur dough. The owner also gave us some of the milk tea to try- not as salty as I thought it would be, tasty and went well with the fried foods. A fantastic visit to this restaurant and we will be back to try some other things.

Inconsistent and unreliable opening/service times. When you search online, it shows business is open but when you get there that are closed.

Our child also really enjoys their "bullet train" transportation system for meat orders which speed down the kitchen conveniently to our table. All other food fare rotates around gradually with clear labels that advise how long to cook certain noodles, vegetables, and assorted ingredients. The restaurant is spacious and feels so even when bustling with high ceilings and adorable glass displays of collectibles. They have a sauce bar with all the necessary accoutrements as well as assorted hot foods and dessert. Speaking of dessert, while they have several to order in the menu as well as boba and other offerings, their seasonal desserts near the sauce bar are awesome. I've had herbal jelly suspended in a milk tea and a strawberry milk variation that were both so refreshing. Perfect palate cleansers. There's a small lot right to the side of the restaurant, some street parking, and parking on the streets nearby (to the back and side). Be careful to read the signage posted to ensure you're in a valid spot.

Love the concept of rotary veggies and ingredients on the conveyor belt, and some meats can come on a train, that looks neat. The good: I chose the herbal chicken and the spicy pickled mustard green soups bases, both soups are great and flavorful, the sauce bar has a great selection to make your own sauce, and the tiger sauce is incredible, (don't miss out on that one), the place is clean and fancy, service was incredible, waitress was checking on us constantly to make sure we are covered. Con: I wished there are more variety on the protein section, some veggies or ingredients are grouped, like carrots and taro, or assorted mushrooms, making it a little annoying if somebody just wanted one ingredient in specific, and the desserts took a little longer than I tough it could. In overall it is great place to dinner and give it s try :)

Everybody at the table must order the same level of menu, and once you get there, you can see why. We all agreed upon the ultimate, and we're rapidly seated. The server understood instantly that we were rookies, and was helpful and pleasant for our entire adventure. He showed us how to place the orders for the broth pots that are used to cook the various items. He also showed us how to place the orders for more of the all-you-can-eat items. In addition to the meats and special items that came from ordering, there is a conveyor belt that contains more items such as pastas, vegetables, and things like tofu, fish, and other things. We each chose a different broth, and you have controls it your table that control an induction cooktop to heat it up to your preferred level. The only complaint I had about the entire visit is that the controls are hard to access. You have to bend down since they are under the edge of your table, and they are not intuitive. So you have to look at them. It is difficult. That is my only complaint. The broth I got which was mushroom based was very good. The meats were things like ribeye, New York strip, brisket, pork, shoulder, chicken, and you would toss them into the cooking broth for a number of seconds pull them out, and they would be cooked to perfection. Grabbing things off of the conveyor was extremely easy, and they managed to keep it full. Delivery of the meat items was achieved using a second train system that would stop at your table and you would unload your little items and begin using them. Very automated. You ordered off of a touchscreen, your items arrived at your table within two minutes. Again, I cannot say enough about the service. It was extremely fast! The server who personally handled our table was outstanding! The food was delicious, in the atmosphere was wild. The walls were covered with Japanese anime art, and the music was a mixture of Japanese pop and K-pop, with a little hip-hop thrown in for fun. The all you can eat model meant that our prices were still quite reasonable. Like most oriental all you can eat, they do expect you only need to grab what you will eat. They're not big on wasting food. And I don't blame them. Their prices are reasonable. Unlike conveyor belt sushi, where you pay by every plate you grabbed, here you are paying for the ultimate experience. This was an outstanding adventure. The food was great in the atmosphere was great. I just wish they had a parking lot!

I was pretty skeptical since I'm more of an AYCE hotpot person; however, I learned that HaiDilao offers a late night deal of $24.99 for sirloin, lamb, pork belly, and chicken. This deal seems pretty worth it since it's like you're paying less than half the price of the original costs. One of the main star dishes we get is the lobster fish balls, and they're a must try! Something about them being filled with lobster and roe makes it so tasty and umami. There's a sauce bar with some goodies and snacks as well. I don't like how you have to pay for the sauce bar, but it makes up for it with the amount of items you get there. Additionally, you have to be aware that the soup base is priced based on how many you get as well. The service was just amazing the last time we went since the waiter was always smiling and always made sure he poured my water when it was empty. Additionally, we said a special phrase that complimented their soup base, and he gave us a tomato soup base packet to take home!!! The ambiance is very nice here, and you can really tell that they keep the area very clean. They have robots bringing your food as well, so that's an experience. The only concern is that there's no parking, so it's a little hard to find parking nearby.
