    Now open in Mazama!

Old schoolhouse brewery's little brother in Mazama is a welcome addition to this small community. This is a beautiful little pub near the parking area for cross country skiers in the winter. They have a good selection of food, much of it locally sourced, and beers from OSB. Recent offerings included elote with local corn, sushi rolls and tea smoked duck. Good views, good times.

This place is off the hook great! Especially considering the crazy remote location - the service, food, entertainment and friendly crew is a 10/10. Don't visit Mazama without a stop at Mazama Public House.

Great to finally see a public house, (OSB brew offerings) here in Mazama. Long over due! If you have not been out here since pre pandemic, you will be amazed at the mini downtown Mazama now. The public house is residing in part of the old ski parking lot. The building is lovely, lofty and airy. You can sit inside or outside at heat lamp tables. You order and pay at the counter first then they bring your order to your table. We only stopped in for after ski beer and kombucha, which were both local drafts on tap. Looks they are serving some food too so will have to come back and update another time. Prost!

Tri Tip Steak and a salad. Very tasty and highly recommended.

We were looking forward to finally dining at the Mazama Public House, it seems like it took them forever to build it. We went on a Wednesday afternoon around 5pm, I'm glad we got an early start, because they got slammed shortly after we sat down. The views of Goat Mountain and the fields in the valley are very nice. Our meals came out fast, we ordered a French Dip with coleslaw, and the Tri Tip Steak with Jo Jo's. My French Dip was not what I was expecting at all for $19, and the $5 upcharge for Jo Jo's seemed ridiculous considering the price so I passed on that. Not the best French Dip I've had, and it should have been for that price. The dip was somewhat small too, and a small portion of coleslaw. The Tri Tip Steak was outstanding and well worth the $21, nice portion, cooked perfectly, and very tasty. I was surprised that there was not a burger on the menu, we were both in the mood for one. The menu is very small, but then again so is the kitchen, and they seemed to be running a skeleton crew of three people. Maybe they well expand the menu down the road. Mazama needed a place to eat, and the Mazama Public House should have been going ten years ago.

Menu from late March early April 2023.

It's always a nice surprise when a community you like have a new place. Mazama is one of those places, but until recently, there has been nothing there after the Mazama Store closes for the day. This is no longer the case. The Mazama public house is a modern building with lots of light and an open feeling. Three tall glass garage doors can open when the weather allows and remove the boundary between outside and inside. On the inside, lots of light wood gives a warm feeling, and the ceiling is made to reduce the echoing in the room, and it works. This is enabling live music performances without getting overwhelmingly noisy. The public house is run by Old Schoolhouse Brewery, a company that also has presences in nearby Winthrop and Twisp. The staff is friendly and helpful and made me feel very welcome. For the food, I tried the steak and frites, which I did like. My only suggestion for improvement would be to serve the chimichurri on the side because it has so much flavor it hid some of the flavor of the meat and potatoes. I also had their soft pretzel as a snack, and I found it delicious. The homemade mustard made it extra good. As far as beer goes. I loved it. I tried several of their beers, and they were all good. There are many on tap, and even more canned. So much that I never even thought about checking out their com UC has, seltzers, or other offerings. I will definitively go back next time I'm in or going through Mazama.

The beer here was legit some of the best I'd ever had. I actually don't like beer but the Pale Ale was something I would actually buy and enjoy! The only reason for my 3 stars is the food. We got pizza and salad. The pizza was not good. I've had better pizza at Chucky Cheese and I'm pretty sure it's frozen. The salad was fresh but because there was no chop to the lettuce leafs we maybe got 6 bits of salad and it was gone. It's had some carrots and tomatoes but it was so lack luster I wish we hadn't paid for it. The owner was very nice and knowledgeable and I wish this place the best. My rule of thumb is that if you can execute something well, don't try. Maybe offer a grilled cheese with yummy cheese and fresh baked bread from Mazama County store and a simple tomato bisque in place of the pizza. Comfort food and easy peasy. We will be back for sure. Wishing this place all the best

Great ambiance and Beers. Fantastic addition to Mazama where we can hangout and stay at Inn Mazama. I didn't wanna drive to Winthrop to grab something to eat after riding all day. I am sure they are working on their menus. Need to add fresh salads. Order Pretzel for sure. It was FABULOUS.

Went here two nights in a row for the same meal! It was that good. We were staying in Winthrop but someone had suggested we stop at the Mazama Store and then we saw the pub! Great food, great beer, great view! This was the perfect pick me up each night after hiking all day!

Lively oasis in the Cascades. The Lemon Radner is great if you like Radlers, and the ahi tuna bowl is exceptional.

I almost always ask what the server's favorite thing on the menu is, and our waitress didn't hesitate to share that her favorite was "hands down" the brisket French dip. She also shared that the fish tacos were out of this world and the pretzel would also be a good choice. Well, my daughter didn't have to be persuaded to order a pretzel, and my husband decided to get the brisket dip, and to round out the order, I figured I would try the fish tacos--and O.M.G. Soooo good! Let's just say it was a perfect marriage of fresh and flavorful! My husband and I had planned on sharing half and half, but we loved our own so much that we decided to finish what we started. The only thing we would caution you is that the dip is a little messy...it's made with chunks of brisket, not sliced, so it is a little tricky to keep it together--but delicious, nonetheless! Well also appreciated that there was a big screen with a football game on while we waited. It wasn't loud, but it was definitely lively! We would definitely visit again!

Such a GREAT find in "the middle of nowhere" (for us city dwellers it's a pretty out-there drive)…read more Hubs likes to drive, I like to find good food. Put that together and you will end up here! This place has it all. We went on a Saturday and it was quiet with a slow trickle of people coming in and leaving. Great classic country playing. They brew their own beer and have a pretty extensive list. They have ciders too! Also, you can get a flight. It's not listed on their menu, but if you ask, they do flights of 6. That's what we got. (3 ciders and 3 beers). Beers and ciders were awesome! I wish I took a picture of the beer list so I could tell you the best, but the jalapeño one was fun and actually paired really well with my flatbread, the black currant ginger cider was DELICIOUS and our favorite beer wassss...a mixed berry bush? Lol something like that. Look for the berry one. The food was OUTSTANDING. Literally top 3 best pizzas I've ever had. My husband got the '3 Rivers' and like a piece of art, I had to sit and process the complexity of flavors with each bite. The thing is, I HATE pineapple on pizza. Absolutely despise it. But I gave this one a shot anyway and oh, my, goodness! THE best!! I got the "Tilly" and it was quite delicious, but the 3 Rivers is where it's at! I would 10/10 recommend this place to friends and family. The drive was beautiful, atmosphere was awesome, we had a wonderful time!

It's quickly become one of our favorite stops when we're camping in the area, and is a great place to stop in, drink a pint or two, and enjoy a game of cribbage. Bonus if it's a sunny day and we can enjoy their lovely beer garden. What really sets River Time apart is their delish food. We're in major "like" with their Three Rivers pizza. It's a flatbread-style pie, prepared on-site in their tiny kitchen area, and features all sorts of yumminess. Whenever we go, we think we're going to try a different pizza this time. Nope, we always end up with the Three Rivers! As someone who appreciates a maltier beer, I appreciate that they always have an amber or red ale on tap. On our most recent visit, I tried their new copper ale which was delish. They also have cider on tap if you're not a beer lover. And the staff is soooo friendly, too!

Our waitress was so friendly and welcoming. Truly felt like she embodied the Methow Valley welcoming committee. A good reminder that friendly and welcoming service - or a lack of it thereof - can make or break even the best meal. We started with their signature nachos with our cocktails. These were delicious, and smothered in queso sauce, pulled pork, bbq sauce, and a dollop of cole slaw on top. I tried the sliders for my main course, and others at the table ordered salads with proteins. There was a fabulous selection, perfect for a lighter meal. These were so bountiful that there was a nice portion to take home for lunch the next day. My trio of sliders were a little underwhelming. The rolls didn't seem same-day fresh and the meats were a little dry. I wanted something light; next time, I'll order a salad with a choice of barbecued meats. In any case, it was a good meal in a fine restaurant with a fantastic server with a twinkle in her eye. Can't beat that in the middle of the Methow Valley!
