I accidentally side quested into here and it was a pleasant experience. Lots of fresh fruits and veggies from local sources, small indie businesses and artisans and lots of people walking their dogs. I went during the mid morning so it was getting hot, but the farmer's market was in the shade of some of the taller buildings which is nice. I got some delicious poke and ceviche that was packed with some ice and with all of the utensils. Vendor was super friendly and made some small talk regarding the convention and some anime series. Very rare to have small talk with a non normie, so that was refreshing! Got to enjoy all of our food after I got to the con and it wasn't decimated by security. Big plus! Also before I left, I got some mango sorbet with tajin to the side and it was a huge portion for $5 and very refreshing in the growing July heat. Next AX, if I park near this farmer's market, I'll do another walkthrough for sure!

There's several vendors out there, but again, LA is definitely lacking the produce that Bakersfield Farmer's Market has. It's nice to see all the food vendors since I love checking out all the delicious stands, but the point of coming to the Farmer's Market for me is the produce and fresh baked bread or organic items made by local vendors. This Farmer's Market is not as busy as the other one I recently visited; however, it is a lot smaller and literally on the street so maybe that's why it's not as busy. There's so many food options that it seems more like a food event then a Farmer's Market. I really do love that this one stays open til later since a lot of Farmer's Market are only open in the morning. It's good for the people who wake up late or don't like going out early mornings. Parking is pretty crazy, so good luck. If you live in the area then you're pretty lucky just to walk here. This Farmer's Market is pretty close to tons of businesses so it's accessible to a lot of people, it's just the parking that's crazy. I'm not a local, so if you locals have tips for us then that would be great! I definitely would love to come back to see if they offer other stuff. Because, this is a very-very small farmers market. This is not a criticism. This is just a fact. When you come to this farmers market, there's only a few sellers offering fresh produce. This being stated, however, these sellers do offer some very good vegetables and/or fruit items. But, you just have to keep in mind, your selection is going to be very limited when you come here. Other than some vegetables and/or fruit, you will find various sellers offering various other items at different points throughout the year. The sellers at this farmers market change frequently. So, you probably shouldn't expect to go one time, come back to the next, and expect that same seller to be there. They may be there or they may not. In terms of location, this farmers market is located in the shopping plaza just across from the central area of the Little Tokyo shopping and dining area. So, it's very easy to find. It's right off the 2nd Street. This farmers market certainly serves its purpose, but you just have to keep in mind that what's offered here is not defined by large quantities or a large selection. Nonetheless, you may find exactly what you're looking for.

Food Access LA assists JACCC in hosting the weekly local flavor with food stands, artisans and makers with handcrafted goods, many sharing Japanese culture along the way. Because of this pairing, the market accepts CalFresh EBT and SUN Bucks. CalFresh-EBT and SUN Bucks benefits are eligible to purchase of $10 fresh fruits and vegetables and $10 for the purchase of any food item at the market which is amazing! They are working on getting WIC and the Senior Farmers' Market Nutrition Program accepted in the future, as well. This makes my heart so happy that this farmers market is truly making a difference for people. The market itself was just the right size for me - not too big, not too small! This market itself was very small, very limited venders and food trucks. But the venders I saw were very interesting, such as scented candles and creative fashion jewelry. The most exciting vender was the pin up dresses, she sells so many different colors and patterns pin up dresses! Although I am a big fan of pin up looks but I had never really looked into getting one of those dresses, so this was the perfect opportunity to make it happen! The dresses were very well made and tailored, extra small ones fit me perfectly! I only got a white one with blue flowers on, I will see how I feel in a pin up dress, if I really love to be in it, I will definitely get more of those next time!

The business owner, George, said it was his fourth week at this farmer's market. If you enjoy tofu, definitely give it a try! I also picked up different types of hummus and pita bread. I got basil hummus, chipotle hummus, avocado hummus, and spicy pepper hummus. I also had a taco de birria. The taco had a generous amount of birria but unfortunately lacked flavor. The consome also lacked flavor. I will be returning to try other items and getting a tofu fix!

There were only a couple of booths offering fresh fruit & vegetables for purchase. Our highlight was our Leaflet drinks. Interesting flavors and yes they tasted good! We ordered a Blue Butterfly tea, Dear Jasmine coffee and I honestly don't remember the third drink. The dear Jasmine was my favorite but I am partial to coffee.
