We had an incredibly frustrating experience with Mazda Amarillo. From the start, the service was unprofessional and misleading. We received not 1, not 2, but 3 different buyers receipts with 3 different dates of purchase once the paper plates expired. How convenient. Then they came up with the excuse of there being a lien on the car, hence why we couldn't get registration. Well, not according to the DMV, there wasn't. Rude Receptionist: The receptionist was disrespectful and unprofessional. When asked about the status of my registration and plates, my girlfriend was called "stupid," with the added comment, "Do you know how to read?" This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable. Maybe if the incredibly elderly receptionist would stop printing 3 buyers receipts with 3 different purchase dates, she would actually know the 60 days were up. Conflicting Information: we received multiple contradictory explanations about the registration process and the status of my plates. Our salesman told us one thing, and then another (who we believed to be the GM, with the fake gold chain) told us something completely different. It was confusing and unhelpful. It wasn't until the bank got ahold of the dealership that they decided to hand us some registration. I expected far better treatment and transparency, especially when we bought 2 cars totalling 45k that day. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone based on my experience. The absolute worst experience you will ever have! Our daughter bought a car there in May, paper tags expired the first of July. They said they can't reprint the paper tags because it's illegal. Umm so is driving around with expired tags! The receptionist at the front desk asked if she was stupid and couldn't count because it hadn't been sixty days. I guess the person that printed the paper tags is the one that can't count because they printed the paper tags to expire 3 weeks before the 60 days they say they have to get you your tags. So then they put metal plates on with no registration sticker which will also get you pulled over. Tried to go in today to visit with the GM, whoever we talked to (don't believe it was the GM) was extremely rude and said they would have them by Tuesday which is exactly 60 days. We asked for proof they actually had the title to the car since it was used and asked for proof they had paid the DMV and he also refused to provide that. If you had done everything you were supposed to and just waiting on the DMV why won't you show proof? They are definitely doing unethical business. Bought my work car here, price was great, most employees were nice and welcoming. But just recently I drove up to the service department and as I looked up and put my car in park. My recent experience with Mazda has been INFURIATING. I have been more than reasonable and beyond patient... I bought my truck from this dealership two years ago. I have used their service department for every recommended oil change since then. I did this only to satisfy the warranty forever program they are so proud to boast about. I have never had any issues until now. Husband took my truck in on April 5th (SIX WEEKS AGO) for a recommended oil change and a state inspection. After a two hour wait, he was told something was wrong with the truck and it needed to be fixed. They wouldn't tell us what happened. They tried multiple times to convince him to trade it in. He clearly told them no and that we expected the truck to be fixed. Then they call me trying the same thing. We were given a rental (another Tacoma) and told we would be contacted. A few days pass and they call, only to tell me they need the Tacoma back, unless we want to trade it in. I am clear that I still want MY truck back, so they give me another rental. They still have no updates on getting my truck fixed... cool, I will call in a couple days while y'all get it figured out. Here is where I need to be extremely clear. ANY communication between me and them has been initiated by ME. Not once has Mazda called IN SIX WEEKS to update me on what is going on. I have called multiple times and left voicemails, but they are never returned. However, the warranty company has been wonderful to communicate with and shares my sentiment that this experience has been absolutely asinine. Initially, I received three different stories about what was wrong with the truck. The service advisor told me he "wasn't a mechanic" so he couldn't tell me anything, but they have contacted the warranty company because it was covered and they would get it fixed. A few weeks pass, so I contacted corporate (Khoury auto group) by email and by phone about this mess and although, very nice, they weren't very helpful either. Finally, I hear back and was told Mazda was waiting to hear back from the warranty company. SO, I call the warranty company, who (SURPRISE) said they were waiting on the dealership. The warranty company was adamant that claims don't normally take this long and offered to send an inspector so they could alleviate the issue quickly. They sent an inspector a few days later (this was early May) to see the truck. Great, finally moving forward, right? WRONG. Haven't heard anything AGAIN for a while, so I called today (May 17th) and left a voicemail for Mazda (and for the fourth time was not called back). So I called the warranty company. They told me they sent a denial on MAY 9TH. So Mazda, doing what Mazda does best, does not call me... or fix my truck... or do anything. My husband physically went to Mazda today, and talks to a few "managers" who have to converse with each other because no one can think on their own. He is asked again if we want to trade it in. I mean I have to give it to them, they are humorous. He was told we would be contacted. Yeah, right, ok. Absolute worst customer service and consumer based experience of my life. I suppose my truck will just sit at Mazda until it rots. Jokes on me though I guess because I am still making payments on it and driving a brand new Mazda with expired dealer tags. I have a copy of my contract stating this. When I went to talk to them about why they charged me before they said they would they claimed that their contract looks different than the one they gave to me. When asked how could their contract look different than the one they gave to me they said. " The man who gave you that was recently fired, he was not a good employee". We traded ours in almost a year ago and just found out someone has been using our stolen license plate that was supposed to be removed and destroyed by this dealership. I recently bought a truck from this location and when I test drove it it had no problems. when I went to go pick it up as soon as I drove it off the dealership two sensors went off, I drove it back the next day and they told we they would fix It they kept it for 3 weeks and didn't fix nothing so I took it back and still didn't fix nothing and told me "I thought it as is and I will get it as is" wouldn't recommend buy any car from here horrible service. I was then promised a fix at there cost and they haven't called back. They wouldn't let me talk to the managers and would ignore me at all cost. If I could give 0 stars I would I was told they would buy my car and once I got there everything changed. They pressured us into looking at other cars and wouldn't tell me the price of the car we were looking at they kept saying well let's do paperwork to see what we can get you. They asked me what price I was looking to stay near for a monthly payment I told them at least 5 times my monthly I was willing to do and they said that they could work with that then was showing me cars out of my price range but was saying they could work with me. They did not. They then told me they will only do a soft pull on my credit and they did 3 hard pulls on mine and my mother's due to making my mom co-sign when asked about the hard pulls and why they did so many they said that wasn't supposed to happen and they would need to go back into the back room and talk and figure out what happened they then brought out a paper with monthly payments on a car that they said they would work with me on and the prices were no were near my monthly I told them then I told them that wasn't okay and they asked again what my monthly was like they didn't listen to what I said the other (at that point was about 8 times). Their employees are not trained very well, they have bad mouths, and they don't know much about the cars on their lot. One employee told the one we were working with to show us a car and he didn't seem to know where any of the cars were and was using foul language almost the whole time we were working with him. I had a friend come look at the car we were looking at since he works with cars and the employee didn't let him ask questions after he said he worked on cars. read more

The Mazda of Amarillo Team under Russ has been a good team and has always done its best to accommodate customers and guests. Morris, Keith, Andrew, and others in service have been friendly and attentive and this is the credit where it is due. However; I will NEVER do business with the corporate leadership under Kohrey EVER again. In April of 2022, I purchased almost 100k worth of vehicles from this dealer. One was brand new and the other used with low miles. One of our vehicles has been in service for over 2 months waiting to have warranty work completed. We were given a loaner car service per the paperwork and service guarantee. After 2 months of waiting I was asked to come back to the dealer to "exchange" loaner vehicles due to an audit. After arriving I was pulled aside and informed that I wouldn't be getting another loaner vehicle because they had none to give out anymore due to a corporate decision to discontinue BVA services. I was taken and dropped off at home now down to one vehicle to be shared between myself and my husband when we work opposite shifts. This has been an absolute nightmare and circus and it's a very poor way to treat clients when service fees are added in finance for loaner car service. I have had to spend multiple visits lasting hours at this dealership and after being run around for now almost 3 months and then having our loaner taken and left on foot I am absolutely disenfranchised by the experience and will be getting out from under these vehicles as soon as possible. I have taken the extra route to file a formal grievance with the Texas Attorney General's office as well as the Texas DMV and Texas Office of Consumer Credit Commissioner because of the poorly established business practices of this Kohrey Corporate Group. I am having the bank and an attorney look over all related finance documents to see what I was charged for in finance since these services were revoked after we paid for them because this is absolutely ridiculous. I understand a business has to be run here but we are down to one vehicle and paying for two and have been for almost 3 months. We had to go through two different loaner vehicles to begin with because we were improperly given a used inventory vehicle with high miles and the 2nd was full of cigarette smoke and a used tampon that was left under the seat No make ready and no gas in either vehicles. Please read this carefully and do yourself a favor and take your business to an honest group that doesn't charge 140% LTV on vehicles during an economic recession. This is a review I never thought I would have to write and I hope it makes its way back to the Kohrey group because I will never do business with them again and will always remember this buyers remorse. We have been putting off this review for some time in hope that we could get over the horrible customer service recieved here. We like everyone shopped around at other dealerships and ended up finding a used car that looked good at first glance. We evened up choosing to buy from Fenton and regret it ever since. The car that we bought ended up being sold to us on a fast track once they found out we were qualified buyers. I asked questions about the car such as if the car had been wrecked and they said no. The car had obviously been painted and had been wrecked. But going off the word of the salesman I should have trusted my gut to not believe a salesman from what I thought was a reputable dealership. Once I bought the car a week later the brakes started squealing and I called to see if they had done service or checked the car mechanically before selling it to me. They said, " well they are suppose to before we sell it". No definite answer was given. I was also promised rock chick repairs which I read given the run around and had the hardest time tracking down the original salesman to get the promised items resolved. Word to the wise....GO ELSEWHERE!! These guys are only concerned about the sale and commissions and not the customer satisfaction. To this date, my brakes still squeal and I am a rolling advertisement with a Fenton logo on my car to show what lack of quality car and customer service they provide. I will never buy from Fenton again. I was better off buying the other car from a more known dealership in town. SMH. Lesson learned. read more

Our son bought a camper from this place. He fixed it up and someone wanted to buy it. Come to find out, there is an issue with our son getting the title for the camper. Could they have sold it to him and maybe they should not have? He has called too many times to count and has dealt with James and Robert. They hang up on him, put him on hold, send him to voice mail, etc. Unfortunately, it appears we are going to have to get an attorney involved just to get what is rightfully our sons. No worries, we will request that THEY pay all attorney fees. He paid for the camper. They refuse to take care of things on their end. Just from this experience, be VERY CAREFUL when dealing with these people. Things seem to be a bit shady and unethical. And they are trying to take advantage of a 21 year old. MANY attempts have been made to rectify this situation amicably. They CHOOSE not to! All our son needs is the title. Simple, right? Not with these guys! read more

Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere!! I purchased a vehicle here in August of this year. I was told I was receiving a $4000 extended warranty in the original purchase price of my vehicle. When I stated I wasn't willing to pay extra for it I was assured multiple times it was no cost to me. The sales manager coincidentally "could not get his printer to work" for me to sign off on the final cost until I was already about to leave and then quickly had my sign claiming everything was right and I didn't need to look it over. I should have looked more carefully because low and behold, I was charged an extra $4,000 for the warranty. I realized this within 10 minutes of leaving but when I called back, nobody answered. So, I stayed an extra night in town (I live 3.5 hours away), went back in person, waited several hours, then finally had them agree to reimburse me the $4,000 and cancel the warranty buy signing a cancellation form, but I had to wait to send them my finance account # to receive it. Two weeks later I got the number, emailed it to Josh Gerths the finance manager and never received any response at all. Phone calls also went unanswered. I drove all the way back and personally gave them the account number, and after another two months still never received the money back. It has now been three months, I have spoken to Josh again multiple times but all he says is he cannot help me and I must speak with Toni, as she is who sends out the checks. However, I have never once been able to speak with Toni. Calls go unanswered and messages to return my call are never responded to. I will say I received a nice vehicle from them, originally at a fair price until the extra $4,000+ interest was added on.Not to mention the additional money I have spent on fuel and lodging making trips back to Amarillo. I wish I had done more homework on the dealership and bought elsewhere. I simply bought from them because I happened to be in town and they had exactly what I was looking for. It's no wonder their BBB rating is so terrible. I don't know what else to do now other than to get my lawyer involved as they clearly aren't willing to make things right as they said they would. I work hard for the money I make and don't appreciate wasting thousands of dollars because of dishonest people. read more
