I don't see how they're staying in business!! Kettle hut in festus is 10× better!! Fat and undone fries! Yum! Tried reviving the fries in our air fryer but the whole dinner was a lost cause . 55 sugarfire is not worth stopping at!! Two big pieces of fat that they call brisket! Tiny pile of pulled pork that looked like was scraped off the bottom of the pan! This is a good place to avoid!!

What really stood out to me was the service we received! I really appreciated not being rushed through our meal. The fact that they actually let you order your courses separately so they're not coming out on top of each other was refreshing. And even though it was a Friday night and there were others waiting to get in we weren't rushed to pay our bill but instead invited to take our time. We hadn't seen or heard much about their pizzas, but we were in the mood for one and decided to order the meat pizza. It was made in a brick oven and it was really tasty. Honestly there were so many toppings that we ended up asking for an extra cup of the marinara sauce to dip it in. The sauce is made in house, it was delicious and the waitress said it's the same one that's used with the spaghetti and meatballs. In regard to the pizza size even though they're considered personal pizzas it was definitely bigger than we were anticipating. I would say they're close to 11 to 12 inches in diameter. My husband and I each enjoyed two pieces with our salad and took the other half home with us. They are definitely big enough to share, especially if you're ordering an appetizer or a salad to go with it. Our group very much enjoyed the artichoke spinach dip. It came with bread that had been cooked in their brick oven and I love that the spinach was in bigger pieces. My husband, and I also shared the harvest salad which had butternut squash on it, candied pecans & goat cheese. It was really yummy. Others in our group enjoyed the salmon and the crispy chicken sandwich. I had recently seen on a local Jefferson County page that many people consider Twisted Tavern the best place for a good piece of cake specifically, their wedding cake . Truth is that was the primary reason why I suggested this restaurant to meet our friends at but sadly by the time we finished our meal and were ready to order dessert they had already sold out. We were told this does not usually happen. Overall, we found tasty fresh food made in house, great service and fair prices. I am already planning another visit to the Twisted Tavern (so I can try their wedding cake! ).

We ordered apps. Spinach dip, onion rings, fried pickles, Brussel sprouts, and aside of spaghetti. The brussels sprouts were nicely fried, a little greasy. The fried pickles were lightly breaded, but very salty. The side of spaghetti was large enough to be a full serving. Wasn't overly impressed with the food, but the service here was top-notch.

A little later and we may of had had to wait. Menu is extensive with burgers, sandwiches, pizza and entrees. I ordered the No Where Burger which comes with fries. Homemade burger cooked to your preference with cooked spinach, caramelized onions and garlic aioli. Hit the spot! My husband had the steak sandwich and upgraded his side to a baked potato. He also enjoyed his selection. Now the reason for the 4 stars. We had the ditsiest waitress we've ever experienced. We asked about the 20% discount advertised on the table...she just smiled and nodded. We just couldn't seem to communicate with her. My husband even thought she may be hearing impaired because she didn't respond to a word we said or questions asked. At the end when she brought the bill, we asked if we pay up front. She answered yes so we proceeded to the front only to find out we pay her. By the time we walked back to the table the bus boy was clearing the table. We had to ask if we could have the table back so we can pay. Hope next time we get someone else...then this place will earn the 5 stars it deserves!

Another sandwich was also ordered which we didn't receive. But there was no charge for it. She charged for another Asiago bagel which we didn't order and didn't receive it but which we paid for. So when I called I initially received the opportunity to come back and gat a different sandwich which doesn't have avocado or tomato. That is exactly what I want. I want the opportunity to go back to a restaurant which I just left because I got their order wrong. That is not exactly making things right in my opinion. Then I got the opportunity to have the asiago bagel taken off of my card. Once again I would have to go there to have it taken off my card. So driving an additional round-trip trip to get an asiago bagel taken off for their error. Then finally I was offered a free you pick two on my rewards. It seemed the only reasonable suggestion so that is what I went with. However, I will not be going back to this Panera. In essence we paid over $29 for two coffees and two danishes and a sandwich that was completely wrong, which will not be eaten. The $29 also includes the charge for the Asiago bagel which we didn't order and didn't receive. My husband told them yo go to the grocery store on the same parking lot for tomato's and avocados and they said they couldn't.

Every one of them the food has dropped in quality, quantity and consistency while prices skyrocket up. Some of the restaurants are better than others but still nothing like what it use to be. Servers and bartenders are still good for the most part. Couple weeks ago we tried Frankie G's Imperial one more time and we were there with friends that have also been going for years, we both agreed it would be our last time unless you guys change your ways. One of the other main issue is management. Same visit our friend informed one of the workers that the woman's restroom was disgusting. Male manager shortly after peeked his head into the men's restroom and yelled is it dirty or disgusting in here? He stated he didn't think it was and actually was asking customers if it was because someone complained. It wasn't horrible in the mens, but it wasn't really clean either. Dude just clean your restrooms. Didn't even realize it was the woman's restroom in question and didn't see him address it. Our same friends were there couple weeks earlier and it wasn't really busy since it was early. They hadn't received their food in over an hour while others that came in after, got their food. My buddy asked the woman manager what was going on and she snapped at him saying the kitchen was really busy and they would get their food when its ready? They finally got their food and wasn't that great as well as the manager was mean mugging my buddy the entire time. It got so bad he actually was mean mugging back. No apologies or recognition of the problem, only an attitude and mean mugging a customer. Unbelievable, my buddy is an easy going very nice guy and got a chuckle out doing the same thing to her. But if she would have done that crap to me I would've went up to her and demanded she call her boss. Completely unacceptable behavior. I've owned and managed a successful buisness for 30 years, would never think of doing anything like this and would never allow any of my employees to act like this without being reprimanded and or fired. Apparently management is so arrogant and blind to see problems at hand and or just don't care. Its not the customers fault you suck now. Get your crap together and get back to old school basics like you use to do. Such a shame and hope the owners start to realize this and make the needed changes.
