    Pretzel Burger + Fries

My family and I visited The Local House, and I didn't have super high expectations. We were all pleasantly surprised though with all of us having really good food. We each ordered different burgers so that's all I can speak on, but we all had great burgers and would highly recommend them. I had the pretzel burger and loved it-flavors were really well balanced. Their fries were really good as well! Service was fast, and our waitress was super attentive.

Really like the new location, Warm wood and black iron decor gives a Pub feel. The service is always friendly and Quick. The Food is excellent every time, recently we had chips with Queso, House Hot wings and Pizza. So Glad we have a "Non" Franchise Restaurant in the area!

This place has awful service and an awful manager with a bun. She avoided us the whole time while we stood up at the bar for at least 45 minutes. The bartender obviously needs held in the back. We come for trivia all the time and this will be my last. Step it up yall.

Ate at The Local House Restaurant on a Saturday evening with three other people. It's a busy place! I ordered the French Dip (thinly sliced sirloin dipped in our au jus gravy, served on garlic toasted French bread then topped with provel cheese) with French Fries on the side. My dinner dates ordered a steak, a pizza, and fried fish. The sandwich was pretty good but my big complaint is the meat to bread ratio was off in favor of bread. It needed either bread that isn't as tall or more meat on that bread. The flavors were there though. The French Fries were good. The "au jus" on the side looked more like some sort of premade brown gravy than au jus. We all enjoyed and the service was decent. I don't get to Arnold a lot but I'd go back.

    Gross.

Gross'. Tried it. Waitress is old had really curly hair. Total bitch the chef or/cook has no clue what he's doing. Cheese dip is like vanilla pudding. Horribleness. Happens here.

The service and the ambience were very good. The restaurant was also well kept. The food was just okay. Too expensive for what we got.

What really stood out to me was the service we received! I really appreciated not being rushed through our meal. The fact that they actually let you order your courses separately so they're not coming out on top of each other was refreshing. And even though it was a Friday night and there were others waiting to get in we weren't rushed to pay our bill but instead invited to take our time. We hadn't seen or heard much about their pizzas, but we were in the mood for one and decided to order the meat pizza. It was made in a brick oven and it was really tasty. Honestly there were so many toppings that we ended up asking for an extra cup of the marinara sauce to dip it in. The sauce is made in house, it was delicious and the waitress said it's the same one that's used with the spaghetti and meatballs. In regard to the pizza size even though they're considered personal pizzas it was definitely bigger than we were anticipating. I would say they're close to 11 to 12 inches in diameter. My husband and I each enjoyed two pieces with our salad and took the other half home with us. They are definitely big enough to share, especially if you're ordering an appetizer or a salad to go with it. Our group very much enjoyed the artichoke spinach dip. It came with bread that had been cooked in their brick oven and I love that the spinach was in bigger pieces. My husband, and I also shared the harvest salad which had butternut squash on it, candied pecans & goat cheese. It was really yummy. Others in our group enjoyed the salmon and the crispy chicken sandwich. I had recently seen on a local Jefferson County page that many people consider Twisted Tavern the best place for a good piece of cake specifically, their wedding cake . Truth is that was the primary reason why I suggested this restaurant to meet our friends at but sadly by the time we finished our meal and were ready to order dessert they had already sold out. We were told this does not usually happen. Overall, we found tasty fresh food made in house, great service and fair prices. I am already planning another visit to the Twisted Tavern (so I can try their wedding cake! ).

There's limited seating inside and it seems like they do a large carryout and call in business. I think this may be a small franchise as there are several listed in the area. Service was a little frosty. She didn't offer any information about the products and I felt a little pressured to make a selection. The price was fairly low and she did say she could heat up my kolache if I wished, which I agreed to. It came out quickly. It was a cute little pastry, very uniformly shaped. The yeasty bread around the filling was very soft and aromatic, definitely my favorite part. The eggs were also a pleasant texture and very hot. I didn't detect much cheese and unfortunately I thought the bacon was 1) in very teeny tiny pieces and 2) slightly undercooked -- very chewy and still pale. I tried to eat around it. Overall, good pastry/bread and eggs. I'd probably try a different meat if I ordered one again. The sweet options are also interesting looking!

They microwave them but I was hoping they would be under a heat lamp or something for a more uniform warmth. I could see how this could be an issue so I wouldn't even consider this a real "complaint". 100% recommend this place for a tasty little lunch!
