Thursday Dinner choice, there were nine of us this time. They were busy even at 5:30, great for them. Madison was our server and she was great. She kept up with our orders and who had what, she was friendly helpful. We ordered some House Hot boneless wings as an appetizer. I got a side salad and a spicy chicken sandwich. Boneless wings were awesome, lightly breaded and tossed in the sauce, just the right amount. The bites were moist and tender and there were quite a few in the order. The salad was good, they have a good ranch dressing and that is a bonus. The spice chicken sandwich was ok, way too much bun for the skinny chicken breast. This used to be one of my favorite restaurants last night was the last time I'm done going there Pizza not good lobster chowder subpar what ticked me off was we ordered the fried pickles? Had lunch on 8/10/26. Arrived shortly after they opened & was seated right away. The restaurant appeared to be clean & orderly. Our waitress Olivia was amazing! Decided to order pizza lunch special, a large pizza at a small pizza price, great deal. It was great, hot & tasty. I added sausage, mushrooms & onion; but wish there would have been more on the pizza, a little sparse but it was still good. Olivia was very attentive to any need we might have had. I ate here about 2 months ago with my 3 kids (ages 7 and under). Each of my kids nearly cleaned their plates. That's the highest praise you can get from them! We loved it so much, I told my husband the next time he was in St. Louis with us, he had to try it. That night was tonight and he equally loved it. Used to love to go there.went last Saturday,they pointed out that they had new menus.first thing I noticed is that their prices went up 30%.Boneless pork chops are gone.now it's bone in pork chops for 30% higher.the salad was downgraded and served warm. My wife had to ask for ranch dressing when she tried the vinagartte,she said it just tasted like vinegar.The bone in pork chops had veins of fat running thru them and the mashed potatoes were thin. Went for wing Wednesday the wings were so light in color they tasted like they had been boiled. The only thing good about them was the sauce they needed to be crispy would not recommend them for wings they have plenty of other good stuff. read more

Customer service. Was seated promptly. The restaurant was not crowded at all. Maybe 7 or 8 tables occupied. Waited 15 minutes and no waiter's or waitresses. First time visit to the local house restaurant in Arnold missouri, ordered a large 16 in pizza, green pepper onion, mushrooms, extra cheese. On the pizza was brought to the table it had a lot of mushrooms big slices of green pepper sliced onion no extra cheese and one piece of sausage. When the manager came to the table we asked him if he could bring us some sausage that we asked for and the waitress did put it down on the ticket the manager told us that he could bring it out but he would have to charge us, charges for what we're already paying for what we asked for and did not receive the waitress was very pleasant and understanding. My family and I visited The Local House, and I didn't have super high expectations. We were all pleasantly surprised though with all of us having really good food. We each ordered different burgers so that's all I can speak on, but we all had great burgers and would highly recommend them. I had the pretzel burger and loved it-flavors were really well balanced. It would seem that the owner of this establishment has no intention of addressing my negative review. Is it because he really doesn't care about one man's opinion simply because they do have awesome food and they are jammed up busy all the time and he makes tons of money? Well, my review will stay at one star and I will give another until I see some humanity in a restaurant who really doesn't care about individual customers. What a shame. Really like the new location, Warm wood and black iron decor gives a Pub feel. The service is always friendly and Quick. The Food is excellent every time, recently we had chips with Queso, House Hot wings and Pizza. So Glad we have a "Non" Franchise Restaurant in the area! read more

I had been a customer for many years. Love their food and service!!! Concerning is....Had an experience of a bill increase of $7 of hidden charges and menu price does not match bill. Watch your bill!!! I brought up my concern and told, "Every thing is expensive today and it's not on his radar." Completely blew off my concern about the pricing irregularity. Love the new location, so much more seating! Comfy, casual, and even crowded we were greeted right away and added to the wait list. It wasn't a terrible wait and thankful for places to sit while we waited. The waitress was friendly, on point with greetings, drinks and knowledgeable about the menu. The food took a little time, but they were busy! Our drinks were kept full and our waitress kept us up to date. The food came out hot and was very tasty! Not a single complaint! Ate at The Local House Restaurant on a Saturday evening with three other people. It's a busy place! I ordered the French Dip (thinly sliced sirloin dipped in our au jus gravy, served on garlic toasted French bread then topped with provel cheese) with French Fries on the side. My dinner dates ordered a steak, a pizza, and fried fish. The sandwich was pretty good but my big complaint is the meat to bread ratio was off in favor of bread. It needed either bread that isn't as tall or more meat on that bread. The flavors were there though. The French Fries were good. The "au jus" on the side looked more like some sort of premade brown gravy than au jus. We all enjoyed and the service was decent. I don't get to Arnold a lot but I'd go back. read more

The Local House was one of the first places we ate when we moved to Oakville and we keep going back. The food is very well prepared, the portions are more than ample, and they have clearly put a lot of thought into making their recipes stand out. One example is the marinara on the spaghetti and the chicken Parmesan pasta and also served with the toasted ravioli. It's not just some basic red sauce. It's a thick and savory concoction exploding with tomato and garlic flavor. Every dish I've tried has similarly impressed and surprised me! If you haven't visited Local House recently, the new location on Michigan Ave is a far better match for the skill of the kitchen and waitstaff. Always before, I felt like I was being served A list food in a strip mall diner. While I love a good strip mall diner, the ambiance of the new building is far better suited to the overall experience. Local House is the definition of quality and in the new location, they're raising the bar on casual dining. read more

Service and food were both worth coming back for! We had 7 people and the food all came out together and well-prepared.

The restaurant is set up as a sports bar with a small outside patio. We actually went just for the patio. It was nice night and wanted to eat outside. We can't find many spots in South County with outdoor seating. The service was great. We had the Strawberry Jalapeño Margaritas which will probably never get again. It just wasn't what we thought it was, it was really spicy and did not hit the spot. Our own fault. The food was Excellent. I had the Pretzel Burger with Tator Tots and queso to dunk them in. The Pretzel Burger was the just right combo of fried onion and jalapeño with queso. My wife ordered the French dip and Tator Tots. The beef on the French dip was nice and tender. Went there on a Saturday with my two adult daughters and three children 13,14,5 . We arrived there at the 11:30- 11:46 we were sat in the area over to the right ) i assume this is where you reserve for parties). At 12:45 we were told there was a party and we needed to go. After being invaded by 20 people. We spent $100 on one check and over $88.00 on another. This is the 2nd time weve been rushed . I would not ever go back or recommend this place. I highly recommend to the manager and owners don't put patrons in an area that you're having a party within 60 minutes of sitting seven people down. The food wasn't that great either. Disrespectful establishment. We've supported this place for years at the other location, don't let your new space go to your head, it can get less business very quickly. We LOVED this place and came here very frequently, but after our experience today we refuse to recommend it to anyone. The wait is absolutely ridiculous. It was my husbands birthday and we called ahead noting we had a larger party (8) to just be courteous about our arrival. We were told no to any sort of reservation or being added to the waitlist and was told to show up 30 minutes early to take on most of the wait before our party arrived. We get there 30 minutes early as instructed and are told ITS AN HOUR AND A HALF WAIT. The worst part is there is absolutely no room for anyone to wait and it's crowded beyond belief.
