The last time I was here was exactly a year ago from the time of this visit. Olive Garden is pretty standard when it comes to having the favorites of Italian food. The salad didn't have enough dressing and the fettuccine Alfredo didn't have much sauce, had to ask for extra sauce on the side. Breadsticks came out warm each time, service was good for the party of about 10 of us. The black tie mousse cake is always my favorite and that taste has pretty much stayed the same. We were greeted when we walked in. We had to wait to be seated but not for long. The chair was dirty, but I wiped it off. We visited the restaurant for dinner to take advantage of the endless pasta bowls. The first bowl was a regular portion, the refills were smaller. I wasn't a fan of the options or the peach tea. However, the water, salad, breadsticks and mozzarella sticks were satisfactory. I left full. Vivian was very helpful. She checked on us regularly without it being overwhelming. read more

Also tried his best to make sure we was happy with the food. We ordered supper, delivery. After waiting the allotted amount of time, I discovered that the food had been delivered but not to my home. Olive Garden claims no responsibility for this mistake as Uber delivers for them and I was told I should call them. I disagree with this directive. It's their food I ordered and their responsibility only ends once the food has been delivered. It's up to them to follow through. On another occasion, I ate lunch there with my daughter. I noticed that the servings were much smaller than they used to be. I'm going to have my granddaughter come over and make us a pot of sauce like she used to. This locations food is always super tasty and on point. They stick to their brand recipes and taste the same every time. I typically order carry out here. It's never a long wait. They are friendly and prompt to bring the food to your vehicle. I often order the soup and salad combo. You get two orders of soup when you do carry out. I order two different kinds of soup and typically eat the second one for my lunch the next day. I also save a breadstick for that soup. Everyone knows their breadsticks are super yummy. read more

All of my visits to any Olive Garden throughout the years has been good. The food is always wonderful. The servers know what they're doing and are attentive. The only thing I would work on if I was the manager is to lower the volume of the music. Plus more Alfredo sauce on the portion that is sent home with the customer. read more

I haven't been to an OG in several years and it hasn't changed much. The soups, salad, and breadsticks are still pretty much what people should stick to. Service was pretty bland and never around when I needed a refill on my soup. (You now get to choose if you want unlimited salad or soup with your entree. Breadsticks are also unlimited.) There are 4 or 5 soups to choose from and I only had an opportunity to try 2 (pasta fagioli and chicken gnocchi). For my entree I did the design-your-own - pasta for $10. I chose rigatoni as my base pasta and the "spicy" marinara as my sauce. "Spicy" is in quotes because it tasted like tomato water with some crushed red pepper added for heat. I added Italian sausage for $3. Payment is a little weird now too. Instead of your server taking your credit card and returning with a receipt to sign, you run your own card at a little tablet /game player at your table. You print your own receipt (or email it to yourself) too. During your meal, you can even use your tablet to order food, drinks, and dessert. Not really my idea of a nice Italian dinner before a night out on the town. Very Applebee's if you ask me. read more

I'm not one for chain restaurants, however, to my surprise the Olive Garden in Avon, had good food and excellent service. We came Sunday afternoon and the place was packed. They told us it would be a 10 minute wait and took my number. They text me immediately to tell me 2 people were in front of us and in less than 10 minutes I got their text and the server also called out our name. First of all lemme just say their water SLAPS. I don't know if it is double filtered or what but they have delicious water. The breadsticks were deliciously soft and buttery. I got the four cheese ziti al forno and it was delicious. I'm a fan of a lot of cheese and they did not disappoint. It had been sometime since I've reviewed The Olive Garden so I'm correcting. Olive Garden is a large change most are familiar with and possibly eaten at before. We sat at a comfortabe booth instead of the 4-top tables. Our server, Amanda, I think, was very personable, professional and attentive. An excellent server can make or break a wonderful dinner experience. My husband ordered a Blue Moon which was properly poured and served with a nice slice of orange. I ordered the Italian Margarita served with a shot of amaretto on the side. Both drinks arrived quickly along with a basket of warm breadsticks and Alfredo dipping sauce (upcharge). Our soups arrived very hot and hubby had the Pasta Fagioli and I ordered the Chicken Gnocchi along with Salad (upcharge). The large bowl of salad was fresh and crisp with a nice amount of house dressing. I love the Chicken Gnocchi with all the flavors and textures. Honestly, I could do without the chicken. Our dinners arrived before I had a chance to try my delicious Chicken Gnocchi because I lingered with the salad. Hubby had the CYO Spaghetti with two sausage links. His feedback was positive but prefers the sausage links have more spice. He understands the sausages are prepared for the masses so medium it is. I ordered the Chicken Marsala served with 2 chicken breast and a generous side of Fettuccine Alfredo. The chicken was tender with an excellent wine flavor and delicious, creamy fettuccine. I had leftovers as usual since I always focus mainly on the soup and salad. The service was excellent, the drinks arrived quickly as well as the food which was hot. Not lukewarm, but actually hot. Plates were removed timely and our server checked on us several times without being annoying. It was a very pleasant atmosphere while we dined. The food was ok...not enough Alfredo on my Fettuccine which left the majority of it with DRY noodles. Obviously, the cooks are lacking knowledge of Italian food. The restaurant has a strong HUMAN WASTE or SEWAGE smell emanating from the bathroom and don't know how the manager and workers can't help but to smell it and must be ignoring it. BTW, the restroom(s) also need to be mopped/cleaned/sanitized. I don't think I will go back for quite awhile. read more

Yes! This place is always so crowded. Which is not always a bad thing. I don't like giving bad reviews bc the state the world is in right now. So I gave them a three star the breadstick were not good the last few times we went. The eggplant parm is on point. Yes I said eggplant and I hate eggplant but this dish is so good. If you are brave enough give it a try! We love going bc it offers large groups so that is another reason it's hard to get into for us. So don't pass this one up but for us we will give it one more try and hope the breadsticks make a come back! read more

What can we say about a chain restaurant? It's ok... Food is decent... fairly affordable... service is hit or miss... on the weekends you'll always have a wait... the later you come, the dirtier the dining rooms get... And what I hate hate (yeah I said it twice) are these stupid pay at your table kiosks... call your waitress buttons.. if I have to use this button, I will be thoroughly ticked off. If the waitress cannot be bothered to stop by occasionally to see if we need anything, then I won't be tipping much if at all. Pretty soon we'll be typing in our own orders and so forth, grrrr... They do have some nice offerings as far as dishes go, they get rather creative and there should be something on the menu for every taste. I am partial to the simple spaghetti with meat sauce. And the salad. I love both. And for that I will keep coming back. read more

I am a local pastors wife and wanted to take a large group of ladies that attend our church out to dinner. We called this Olive Garden and let them know we would be there with a group of 30. Even though they don't do reservations they had us seated so quickly and our servers were amazing! Everything was brought out so quickly and very fresh/hot. They were friendly, kind and helpful. I was beyond shocked at the customer service in this restaurant! My husband and I have been back for lunch twice just to support them :) I have never had a lazy waiter here. It just feels so nice to have great service again! I wish I could remember the names of our waiters, but I can't. It was one woman and one young man. Thank you so much! We will be back. read more

I know what you're thinking it's fast food and you're right. It was late and we were hungry and I knew it would be fast. The good thing about the food at OG is that it's consistent. The food isn't bad tasting either. The first thing that gets under my skin is the fact that they brought the entrees to our table when we weren't even half finished with our salads. I'm pretty sure it's pretty made so all they need to do is put it into a bowl. The server was chatting with another employee and not paying attention to her job. The second thing that really bothers me about the Darden brands is the table top check out. It' so impersonal. Maybe I'm showing my age but I hate those table top check out kiosks. read more

Our server deserved 5 stars!! However... the rest of the experience did not. Olive Garden has always been one of my go-to Italian favorites. Nothing can beat unlimited soup, salad, and breadsticks. Breadsticks were fresh all night long and I love the chicken gnocchi soup. Their menu has a good amount of delicious items- not a fan at all of the steak Alfredo dish (looks amazing on the menu but tried twice and do NOT recommend) but my favorite is anything with the sun dried tomato sauce!!! And the shrimp scampi appetizer The reason this specific Olive Garden does not deserve a higher rating is the rude host and manager. We were told 30-35 min wait, and after almost an hour they still couldn't give us an estimate. The main reason this was a concern is that we were here killing time before the airport & didn't want to miss our flight & not get dinner. But the manager was super rude when we asked about it too- acting like he didn't care that we had a longer than anticipated wait. Also, we had an overly hangry 6 year old with us that was getting very restless. Overall, they're Olive Garden so their poor front staff attitudes probably won't keep people away.
