I came here with my best friend last weekend for a girl's dinner. We were looking for something decent but not overly fancy. Carabba's is a casual Italian place with some decent pasta dishes. I've eaten here before and have had excellent food. This time I was disappointed. I ordered the lobster ravioli and she ordered the lasagna. The lobster ravioli had almost no lobster in it. Her lasagna had little flavor and the noodles were overcooked. I ordered my favorite dessert, tiramisu, and it was terrible. I left half of it. The only thing that was really good were my espresso martinis. Our server was really good, too. I might come back, but it wouldn't be my first stop for Italian. read more

Absolutely love their take out. Everything is bagged, boxed and ready to go. When family or friends suddenly arrive from the airport, I have them look at the menu and it is usually done when we get there. Take it home and just chill. No rushing trying to throw together a meal. read more

We were seated quickly for Friday night dinner. Food was good. I had chicken & shrimp carbonara. Chicken was a little dry, noodles needed more sauce, but the flavor was good. My wife had pollo Santa Maria. She loved it and took home leftovers. We loved the bread. Our server was Logan. He was very new, but I really appreciated how seriously he took his job. He was very attentive and took great care of us. Logan really hyped up the special dessert - I think it was Carmel apple cheesecake - so we requested it. He had to come back and tell us they were out! (Pretty early in the evening on Friday.) We had the chocolate dessert which we've had at Carrabba's before. I always forget why I never go to Carrabba's until I sit down and I see why Olive Garden kicks their ass. Pitiful - no silverware had been cleaned and no unsweet tea had been brewed at 6:30 pm Saturday. We were handed plastic fork&knife with to go paper napkin. WTF?!? The lazy effort of the bus girl. She was too good to wipe down the seats and tables where customers had dropped food on chairs. The only redeeming part of the meal was our wonderful server who got stuck with 19 tables. Always a good meal at Carrabba's service was quick and attentive filled drinks, and bread. The sautés spinach was delicious along with pork chop cooked to med well. We chose here for Valentine's Day and it did not disappoint. We were quickly seated and our waitress was impressive. We were never without tea in our glasses and she was always checking on us to make sure we didn't need anything else. (Without it being too much) Food was good. We enjoyed a sampler trio and then a yummy chicken Marsala and a pasta dish with shrimp and steak. Food was excellent and the tiramisu for dessert was awesome. The ambiance was perfect for the day. I'm not sure what's going on but I would not waste my money. There were out of potatoes and to go boxes. The portions have gotten smaller and prices have gone up. When you change your menu it changes the food. Not sure if I will be back. The staff was great till I brought up issues with the food and then the server didn't pay any more attention to me. read more

The worst food ever, and way over priced. I could have gotten my family two delicious meals for the price this was for my family. Just save your money and eat somewhere else! Not to mention, the service was terrible! It was so annoying when the waitress insisted on taking all the plates and asking us to hand her this and that when we were clearly finished wanting our check. Then we waited for her to come get the check forever while all the staff was at a table in the other side of the restaurant. There were maybe 3 other tables eating there, the parking lot was basically empty-should have been a clear sign that this place sucked. We absolutely love Carrabba's! Have enjoyed this location in the past. So when meal plans needed changing, we opted for Carrabba's. While it had been a year since going to this location, I didn't expect the change that has taken place. Not in a good way. Our server did not take long to arrive at our table. The place was empty, so that wasn't really an issue anyway. We had decided to get waters and a cocktail each. He asked for our ID's. Heads up. Make sure your ID is current. They will not serve you unless you have a current ID. Even if you are 51. Far past the legal age. They are very forceful and rude about it. We ordered our faves. Chicken Marsala. I had penne pomodoro with a Cesar Salad. Spouse had fettuccine noodles with cheese sauce and Cesar salad. Carrabba's has always been at the top of our list for Cesar Salad. Flaky cheese, excellent amount of dressing... Not to be this time. Little dressing and so much shredded cheese on top, it was hard to find the actual salad and next to impossible to taste any dressing. Disappointed. Spouse wasn't overly impressed with the cheese sauce. Me? I wish there had been sauce on the penne. I found a very small puddle beneath the penne. Mostly made of tiny chunks of tomato. So we marched on to the Marsala. Always a must have. Not to be. The normally thicker sauce was so thin and bland that it didn't even come close to being anything like we have enjoyed in the past. Certainly not worth the $58.33 charge. Needless to say, our entire visit was a disappointment. Not the Carrabba's we've experienced in the past. Not inclined to return to this location any time soon. I honestly have nothing negative to say about the food, the service and the ambience of this restaurant. It is not my usual tendency to go to chain restaurants but i was gifted a guft card and so here I am. The first thing they bring you is bread with a side of oil and garlic pesto. The bread was super fresh out the oven, the olive oil was fragrant and the garlic pesto was fantastic! I ordered the 7oz sirloin with the two sides. My sides were fettuccine alfredo and penned pomodoro and I must say they did not disappoint. The fettuccine alfredo was creamy & savory, very delicate. The pene pomodoro was perfectly sauced and tasted quite delicious. I ordered my steak medium rare but it was more like medium well. The steak was a little on the salty side, but tender and juicy. The tomato basil soup was perfectly blended, no acidity and superior to any other I've had lately. Our server's was a beautiful young lady called Hannah. With excellent customer service skills and her service was superb. Always one step ahead of out needs Hannah made out dinning expirence amazing. read more

We love going at lunch time to enjoy a good soup and salad and visit with the most wonderful server we have found at Carrabba's. Unfortunately, this does not extend to dinner service or many other servers. We have had several negative experiences since my last review. From a server that was plain lost regarding the menu and understanding what we were talking about to a messed up ticket--because of same issues--where dinner for two was over $75 when it should have been $50ish had our order actually been understood...didn't realize that the server did not understand until the food arrived and was all over the menu but nothing as to what we had actually requested. On top of it all, the one set of younger kitchen staff are unsanitary and disruptive to the dining room. They were reaching over the food prep/cooking area to greet and shake hands with their friends that would randomly visit and then go right back to handling food. They were also so loud and careless as to how they conducted themselves that the restaurant sounded more like they were in their own home screaming about with their friends instead of in a business establishment. This whole thing has made us once again reconsider Carrabba's and question whether to return even at lunch when our favorite server is usually working. Doubtful we shall be returning anytime soon. While other places around Hamilton seem to have recovered from Covid with grace, it is almost as if Carrabba's just can't get it together completely. read more

My son and I were out shopping for a sports coat when we got the hankering for some Italian food. Carrabba's was right there at the Hamilton place mall so away we went. I ordered the Spedino di Mari (?) with fettuccini alfredo while my son chose the salmon with asparagus. The scallops and shrimp were good but the scallops balanced better with the seasoning as you actually taste some scallop. They were cooked well also. The shrimp just tasted like grilled seasoning if that makes sense. Alfredo was delicious, but really rich with this dish. I should have chosen a veg I think. This was the worst Carrabas we've visited in 15+ states. We arrived at 4pm on a Monday. 3 tables between 2 servers were there already. They asked us to wait 10-15 min. No big deal. Then the "host" said we would need to wait another 10-15 min because they didn't have any bread ready. What? So we asked if we could sit down without bread. He thought about it a full 60 seconds before answering yes. ‍ Wait staff was friendly but inattentive. Food was over-priced, underportioned, bland and not as advertised. I ordered fettuccini Alfredo and it arrived over cooked by minutes. The "truffle" fries were plain fries with the clumped Parmesan on top. No truffle oil. At all. Kids portions wouldn't feed a toddler (I have 2). My wife ordered a chicken breast (forget which meal). It was less than 4 oz. She said it tasted good but left hungry. 4 kids + 2 adults ate for $77 + tip. Not terrible but we all left hungry. We will never come back, which is sad since this is our closest Carrabas, a long time fav chain. read more

Meh. We used to frequent Carrabba's quite a bit years ago, but it's been a minute since we've been back. The menu has changed and they've gotten rid of a few of our favorites, but that happens. The restaurant itself is mainly tables now, which helps accommodate large parties, but doesn't give way for feeling like your in an intimate setting with your party. We were sat after a 10 minute wait at a bar table we joked we didn't want, but at the risk of having to wait longer and being late to a prior engagement, we took it. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable about the changes to the menu. We ordered the Scotty Thompson which was just as delicious as I remembered. The Caesar salad was a little dry for my liking and my husband's sausage and lentil soup was too watered down. He asked the server to bring some grated cheese, but it never arrived. The chicken parmigiana was like we remembered, minus the sides we loved. We did see the someone in the kitchen, assuming it was the KM, take the tickets that are printed off and put them in his mouth, which then got hung and then placed on trays near food. Also, as our food was being brought out, one of our plates was put down at a dirty table while the server grabbed some cheese. Neither of these things were highly appetizing. read more

It's okay-ish, but a lot of the items just didn't stack up to competitor offerings. We arrived on a busy Saturday night and had an hour's wait before being seated. We weren't in a rush, but call-ahead is recommended if you're coming during a busy time. Since half the restaurant was empty, it was more an issue of staffing than capacity. All the servers were friendly, but when we were seated they put us at a highboy table. With so many empty spots they should have had the courtesy of asking us if they were not going to seat us at a normal table or in a booth. We started with a calamari appetizer. Although it had a nice seasoned crust and was crisp, that crispness came at an expense. The squid was overcooked to the point of desiccation. The crust overwhelmed the small bits of meat to the point they were barely distinguishable except when getting a rubbery or leathery bite. The marina sauce on the side, however, was excellent and very fresh tasting. The soups were a mixed result. My wife's minestrone was flavorless, while the Mama Mandola's Chicken Soup had a good flavor with a touch of peppery heat. The complementary bread was soft and fresh, although pedestrian with most of the flavor coming from dipping it in the seasoned olive oil. My wife had the sirloin with a side of broccoli. While I had the Johnny Trio which had a petite sirloin, mezzaluna, and Chicken Bryan. My wife was underwhelmed with her steak, but did like my Chicken Bryan. As the chicken didn't really appeal to me, I let her have it. I cannot fault the chicken as the ingredients all seemed fresh, and it was only a flavor preference. I found my stead good, but it was the mezzaluna was the best tasting of the trio. We also shared a side of Parmesan Truffle Fries which were terrible. Most of them were chewy, tough, and dense. We managed to find a few smaller fries that were crispy, but left the majority of the dish uneaten. Service was okay, although drink refills were a bit slow in coming. The atmosphere would have been cozy. But on this wet winter night the interior was so cold we both kept our coats on throughout the meal. read more

On possibly our last visit to Carrabba's earlier this week, we asked to sit in the bar area to have a drink and to then get a table for dinner. We were told we couldn't do that. Since there were not two seats together at the bar, we would have had to sit at a high top table. That was fine, but then we were told if we did that we would have to eat our dinner at that same table. There were no other patrons in the bar area besides those sitting at the bar. There might have been four tables or booths occupied in the main dining area. Clearly, there was plenty of room on an early weeknight for us to have a drink and then move to a table. Our request was refused by the hostess. We left and went to Firebirds where our simple request to sit in the bar for a drink and then have dinner at a table was greeted with a "Sure. Just let us know when you're ready for a table." This was on a Monday or Tuesday evening, and neither place had anything resembling a crowd. We would not have expected or asked for this accommodation on a busy night of the week. Very disappointed in a complete lack of hospitality at Carrabba's. read more

We ordered from Carrabba's yesterday for first time in several years. My husband had the pork chops. They were sooooo good large and thick cut. They were so good that I just couldn't rate the mash potatoes and broccoli lower. Please improve them. I had the lasagna which was delicious. I realized how much I missed their bread and seasoned olive oil. Keep up the good work and improve the pick up process. read more

We used to eat at Carrabba's at least twice a month even though it is a 40 minute drive to get there....but things changed about 5yrs of eating there and the food was not the same.....we later found out that the manager left and things went quickly downhill after that.....the last time we ate there we told the server we would be looking for another Italian restaurant and she told us about Tony's in downtown Chattanooga....so now Tony's is our restaurant choice.... read more

I really love Carrabba's! Let's start with the bread and garlic olive oil which is so good we can't stop with one basket I got the go to chicken parm and it was very good and cooked well. The other dish was fettuccine with shrimp. This had a lemon sauce mixed in with the Alfredo and I thought it was very tasty dish. The meals are a fairly large portion wish the chicken was bigger but overall I left pretty full and the service was really good there during the covid If you enjoy wine this restaurant has some very good brands to choose from. The other well known competition has their brands they push which are ok but I've always enjoyed the brands of Carrabba's read more

Usually don't have any issues with this Carrabba's...until today. The service was ok. Not fond of waitresses asking if I need a refill especially when I don't have my meal yet. Didn't really know who to ask because so many different staff brought out our food. The final thing was I had a brand new $50 gift card that they told me had nothing on it. That was after 1 of them said they were having a hard time with gift cards and another said no problems at all. They said take your gift card back to store purchased from. Left there and looked up balance of gift card...sure enough $50...pretty sure they could have looked it up themselves. And it also showed that they had scanned it seeing the balance then cancelled it. read more

Salmon could cooked few more minutes, Chickens was over cooked, Pasta sauce needed some flavor, steak was slightly below room temperature. Overall looks like foods were sitting in some where to correct some mistake in one order - my plate setting was weird. Main plate had only 2 items with huge empty space and one side dish served on separate plate. I'm guessing my plate had some issues so they were fixing something.
