First time trying this chain and was pleasantly surprised at the quality. The item I wanted was no longer available, although it was still being advertised. The food was good though and at a reasonable price. The shop was clean and had plenty of seating. The only reason for the 4/5 stars is the customer experience. We stood at the counter in front of three employees and none of them interacted with us. They saw we were there but did not welcome us in, say they will be right with us, nothing. Then, when the interaction came, it was cold and disinterested. I understand that this is somewhat typical in sub shops, but at least other places have the courtesy of welcoming you in when you open the door. read more

First time customer here. I went to your Mason location 1/17/26 for the first time and seen caramelized onions as an option and I got them on my bita and it was great. I went to your colerain location 1/19/26 and ordered the exact same thing and did not receive caramelized onions I was given raw onion. and to the employees when I returned with my sandwich they were very sarcastic on this being caramelized onion young lady states she made the sandwich and how it is in fact caramelized onion and I took my sandwich back from her hand and opened to show her that this is NOT caramelized onion. I have a picture I can provide for reference. I showed the male employee what exactly caramelized onions were and he had a sarcastic look and I don't care expression on his face and he said that's how you guys told them to make and I told him if that's how this location makes them then don't put them on and he insisted on trying to make it right so l allowed him to attemot to make it caramelized but it just was charred onions instead and I told him I did not want to waste his time any longer and to just put them on the sandwich and leave it be. I filled out the survey and the same exact person who made the second sandwich is the person who called his name was Shawn. He tried to explain how his facial expression wasn't what I said etc. I suggest a tutorial on caramelized onions to not have repeat issues in future. read more

I recently had a craving for chili and decided to call potbelly's to see if they had any on their menu. The associate I spoke with offered to prepare it for me and my order was ready when I arrived within minutes. I was blown away at how yummy the chili was, it made just the right amount of meat, spices and beans. Their chili reminded me of my grandmas which is about the biggest compliment I can give it. Either train your employees to read tickets better or start issuing refunds. Welp Yelp, The wifey and I went to Potbelly's for the first time and then about a week later. Gotta say great sammich shop. They greeted us, were friendly, even explained to us some sammich questions we had. The staff was masked and gloved up, the food was prepped fast, toasted up and tasted great and the shakes were really good too. I went today with my friend David and his co-worker Thomas. David and I got sandwiches with "everything". When you say "everything" it's nice because then you don't have to say all the individual things. For example you don't need to say "lettuce". If you say "everything" they know to give you the lettuce. It's great. David's co-worker Thomas got a really good looking pizza sandwich and it even had meatballs on it. Just tried this place after driving by several chains around the Cincinnati area. I was prepared to be underwhelmed, because, really, how many sub shops do you need in the world!? I had looked at their offerings on their website before heading out to lunch. I was eager to try their soups, especially the loaded potato soup, which was the special soup of the day. You see, how it works is that they have chili and broccoli cheese soup ever day, but on other certain weekdays, they have vegetable, potato, tomato and chicken enchilada. Anywho, entering the place, it smells heavenly! I couldn't tell if it was the bacon they put on some of the sandwiches, or the soup or what. But it doesn't just smell like cold veggies and condiments. The original Potbelly was supposedly an antique store, so you can see that the various chains really have a welcoming, vintage kind of feel and decor to them. Potbelly also prides themselves on speed of service, and boy, they aren't kidding. I was through the order line and receiving my food within 5 minutes. I ended up with the Mediterranean sandwich, which is just hummus, artichoke hearts, roasted red peppers and cucumbers. I also had a side of potato soup and a bag of their Zapp's hot pepper chips, which I'd never heard of before, but they were good. The sandwich was warm and tasty. The bread was toasty and had a good texture. The soup was very very good! I would come back just for the potato soup. I'm excited to try the other ones too. All in all, Potbelly is a pretty good sandwich shop with a really cool vibe and atmosphere, and pretty decent food with fast and friendly service. Oh and their cookies are really good. This is a review for the amazing bakery goods that come out of their oven!! Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies, Double Chocolate Chip Cookies & Sugar Cookies. O.M.G! My absolute favorite is the chocolate chip oatmeal. You walk in at the right time and get it warm....Ugh!!! So delicious! Last time I was in for a sandwich (which are always good, and take me by surprise with the spice that comes with those peppers) and of course my cookie, I noticed the sign about an ICE-CREAM SANDWICH! Today was the day that savory creation hit my mouth! And boy oh boy was it incredible! New favorite treat ya'll! Cannot beat it for $2.80 either, once it hit my hands I almost dropped it due to the weight of it! The hubby and I had the intention of getting two, but one was plenty to share! The ice cream was actually creamy and soft too! (They only have vanilla to make it an easy decision!) The service at this location is extremely good. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. However, the food is not all that amazing. I tried the new BLT that they were offering and it was not anything special. The bacon was supposed to be the best part from what the advertisement stated but to me it seemed to be the worst. I ended up taking it off halfway through which made the sandwich even more bland. Their Mac and cheese was also not very good and really greasy. I don't plan to order this again but due to the service, I will be back to try other things! read more

From placing my order over the telephone to outcome- website was helpful in that it broke down suggested options, but for whatever reason it kicked me out of payment screen so I called in- very pleasant phone experience! I called back at 1:18 pm and asked if my order was on its way . Britney indicated it had just left , I asked if there was an estimated time , she said I told you it's on its way. " do you want it or not " do you want me to call the driver and cancel ! I told her she had horrible customer service . And she replied , well "do you want it or not " I asked to speak to a manager she said I am the manager , I asked for her superiors and said she was off Brandy . Honestly pretty disappointed in potbelly today. I used to work for this company and a lot has changed in the past couple years in regards to their standards. No one greeted me when I walked in, or even when I stepped to the counter. There was no conversation at all between the employees and myself. I asked for a milkshake and they said they couldn't with no explanation. I was at the dress station waiting for my second sandwich to be addressed when the lady at the station stepped away to answer the phone even though there was two other people in the shop. One of which was on their personal cell phone in the back of the house and was still in sight of clientele. The girl didn't wash her hands either when she came back to the station, and there was also a slice of cheese missing from my second sandwich which I had to comment on to be fixed.
