I got the sandwich with a side of potato salad. Both were pretty good. No complaints. It was a simple meal. It was comfort food and it's healthy. So this place is a disappointment on many levels. Their food fails, but their customer service fails even worse. I received a sandwich that hardly had any meat in it. I purchased a slice of their "amazing" carrot cake, and only got half of the slice (it was clearly missing 2 of the 4 layers). I complained and it pretty much fell on deaf ears. This location opened up a block from where I work so decided to give it a try. So far I've tried the turkey melt, chicken wrap And mac cheese. The turkey melt was delicious but the chicken wrap was ok. Mac and cheese as a side is decent as well. Half a sandwich was definitely not enough for me so a full sandwich is always in order. The desserts are ok so I'll just get the cookie to satisfy my appetite for dessert. It becomes a little pricey once you order and anything else. I had training at the Miami-Dade Police Institute of Public Safety and me and my co-worker decided on this place. I ordered the choose two, half a king (for $1 more) which consists of white country bread, honey mustard, mayo, apple wood smoked bacon, black forrest ham, and Butterball smoked turkey. My second option was a chicken tortilla soup with a side of nachos, wasn't too pleased with the flavor but since I was hungry, and wanted something warm it pleased my taste buds for the moment. My co-worker and I shared the mixed fruits and tasted very fresh. My co-worker opted for the half a loaded spud (bacon, olives, cheese, ham, sour cream butter). I should've gotten that instead of the soup, but my greedy behind took a piece off his potato. Everything was very good and I made this my new place of eating instead of Panera bread, I think they have some competition coming. I heard there is another location in Plantation. The customer service is very lackluster, if you don't speak Spanish or look like you speak Spanish, the workers won't even acknowledge you or greet you! This place is a great location. The place is clean, and the service is good. We ordered the New Yorker and Spud Max. The sandwich was juicy, delicious, and filling. We ordered a side of macaroni and cheese, which was cheesy and delectable. The Spud Max was a highlight of the meal. The cheese, ham, and bacon added a nice touch to the potato. However, the food was so filling that we only needed to share two meals in order to get full. The sweet tea was good and came with refills. My one complaint is that the food was, to me, a little pricey. However, it is not so expensive to make me not come back. Looking at our experience as a whole, it was a good experience. Meh... I had the Big Nasty and yeah... somewhat Nasty. The flavor was there but like, it was all soggy. The SPUD (baked potato) was pretty good. I eat from here at least 3 times a week for almost a year now since I work so close. As of late, they have been messing up and not giving me my salad dressing when I order online and do pick up. I've gotten into the habit of checking my bag when they hand it to me to double check it's all in there before I leave. Something I feel I shouldn't have to do, that's their job. So today I ordered my usual full size salad and didn't check the bag before I left. When I get to my office, hungry and expecting to devour my salad (with salad dressing) there was NOT ONE DRESSING. If you eat here often you know that the full size salads bring two dressings. Well, they gave me NOTHING to dress my salad with. I had to eat dry lettuce. I was so PISSED but didn't have time to run back to the restaurant because I was working. Needless to say, I will not be returning to McAllisters. The inconsistency and forgetfulness to add the dressing to a salad over and over again is infuriating. Whoever is working on packing these salads needs some serious training.
