I love McAllisters but this one just didn't meet my expectation. The one in Stafford location is the reason why I started to buy more frequently. Here they gave me, not a half but, a half of a half sandwich. Lol I didn't know if to cry or just laugh at it. Terrible delivery service. I paid for a delivery fee and a tip. I did not receive the soup. I called the store in Katy and they told me to come pick it up! They would not deliver it to me after I paid, tax, delivery fee and tip for it. Then the manager said he could refund the soup. I said he needed to refund all of the fees associated with the soup and said he couldn't do that! What a rip off!! Unbelievable poor customer service. Idiots! read more

They messed up our order and we didn't notice until after we read the menu because it was our first time we just thought this is how they made their Cesar salad. But they actually gave us a garden salad. The soups we got, broccoli and cheddar & country potato) were salty and the sweet tea was not good. Even the sauces for the salad were horrible. Last week I brought my young son here to meet some friends for lunch. The location was clean and the people were nice. I was very happy to see some kid friendly food on the menu for my very picky son so we decided to give it a try. Not many restaurants will serve plain old macaroni and cheese, they try to get all fancy with it, and my son will not eat anything but the regular old Kraft version so I had my fingers crossed. But luckily they served your normal Mac and cheese with a side of apple sauce, another staple, and for the first time ever my son was able to finish a meal in a sit down restaurant, something that may not seem like a big deal to most but was a huge accomplishment for us. I had the French dip and it was ok, a little bland overall. My friends salad and the other sandwiches looked much better. Afterwards my son and I split one of the chocolate chip cookies tempting you at the register and dammmnnn I'm still thinking about that thing. Do not pass up the cookies. I was very disappointed in this location. I'm normally a huge fan of McAlister's, but doubt I will be back to this location. My sandwich was about as flavorful as a piece of cardboard. My son's simple grilled cheese was burned. The sweet tea is normally delicious, but was terrible the day we went in. I love the food, but do not order for delivery or visit their establishment as they do not care about ALL customers experience! Doordash handles their delivery but has no control on how complete or correct their orders are. Management does not seem to be concerned about the fact that our orders have been messed up multiple times and we will no longer be ordering from them. The manager's statement is that Doordash handles their delivery and there is nothing they can do. Doordash does not assemble the orders. It's his staff and unimportant to him that customers are disappointed. read more

We are huge McAlisters fans, but this location exceeds every expectation. We just moved to Katy and were so excited to see McAlisters being built. They did not disappoint. They are soooooo attentive! Kylie checked on us enough times that we were smiling at how awesome she was, but not so much that it was annoying. Another employee came by and asked if we needed a refill. Love that they finally opened one near me! I'm not a huge sweet tea drinker but it is a must have every time I come! The Reuben (reg one) is where it's at. Every time I come I like to spice it up though and try something different. This last time I tried the turkey Reuben and it hit the spot. I am a little biased because Mcalister's sweet tea will always have a soft place in my heart. Next to the King Club and the Savanna Chopped Salad and their rice crispy treats. When I first moved to Texas, I was introduced to this restaurant by one of my good friends. At the time I was living in West Texas, and I was a bit of a foodie snob. It quickly became one of my favorite spots because the portions were huge, my sweet tea was delicious, and my wallet was happy. Now that I moved back to civilization, I do see how average this place is compared to some of the other sandwich options, but I love the consistency of the food, service, and every now and again I really crave that sweet tea! If I had to pick my ultimate favorite dish from here it would be the Savannah Chopped Salad. It has the perfect balance of savory and sweet, and it's so huge that I can eat it for two meals or share it between two people!! On my own I usually order it as a "Choose 2" style and get the salad and half a sandwich. (Who says you can't have your cake and eat it too??) read more

I was very unsatisfied with my visit today. We entered and noticed that the menu changed, which was fine but very unexpected. After we payed for our meal we got told that we could only get one spud instead of three. Then, while we were changing our order to something non potato related the employee looked annoyed as if we had done something wrong. No, they're not really a "deli". Just another chain, not unlike Newks and others that serve up marginal overly salted food. This place is awesome. I eat here almost every other day. Most of the staff know me by name and its cool that they've gone the extra mile on that alone. I come here on my lunch break to sit, relax, and rewind. The food here is spectacular. Everything from their soups and salads to sandwhiches and potatoes is all hot and fresh. My favorite is the chicken tortilla soup. They introduced me to the app and I've already reaped rewards and got free cookies for my team at the office. I know I must sound like someone working for their corporate office, but I'm really just someone who enjoys this place. Rod, the manager I assume, and his staff are supurb and always have service with a smile. I cant help but compare other restaurants this place, and I find this McAlisters is the standard for great service so far. I hope the staff here get recognized for the good they do here.
