Flat out terrible experience. When I came in there was a group of people in front of me. There was a clear language barrier and the man taking their order was being absolutely disrespectful. All three of the staff I saw working up front or delivering food, were very rude and continuously talked badly about other customers pretty loudly. As for the food, it was nothing special. Everything tasted alright, but it was poorly made. But my cooking was good so I'll give them that.

    French dip is great!

Consistently good. You know you'll always get a good, well prepared meal in a timely manner. Best tea anywhere and a great punch program to earn free tea and lunches!

Always great service and great food. I love their club sandwich, and my wife likes the "Big Nasty". Good sandwich, horrible name.

The redeeming quality of this place is the bottomless sweet tea. The food is okay but certainly not newsworthy.

I love love love sushi and they had such an incredible fresh and yummy collection to choose from. They also have THE BEST HUSHPUPPIES I've ever had! I didn't think I'd be raving about a simple hush puppy but damn they're fire. The man who I assume is the owner was so incredibly kind. The service was fantastic and the space was so comfortable and decked out in decore. My fiance got a bento box meal and it came with so much food for an amazing price. We've been back multiple times and ordered on DoorDash multiple times. They're so good and such a friendly neighborhood staple. If you haven't visited them please do!!!

The restaurant is spacious and there is plenty of seating. The menu is varied. There are many things on the menu. It might have been better with less choices. You feel a bit overwhelmed. I don't remember what I ordered but the hush puppies are delicious. I will be back for more of those. The food was tasty and plentiful. This is , however, that charges for everything. Corn and potatoes are extra, and all sorts of items you get extra elsewhere, make you pay here. I need to go back and give this place another try. I don't think one visit is enough to adequately judge.

The ambiance is pretty bare bones but they definitely advertise their political stance and I appreciate that because I like to support like minded places and people. They also had signage up that was super informative and helpful for certain situations one might run into in this current environment. The kitchen is super open and the service was friendly. They offer a variety of sandwiches, sides, soups, Italian sodas, and even catering. I went with the Classic sandwich: roast chicken, turkey, bacon, Colby, green leaf lettuce, tomato, onions, mayo, and avocado spread on toasted whole grain. I did have them swap the whole grain for sourdough because I'm a sourdough junkie. They were totally accommodating. The sandwich was delicious. The deli meat was high quality and had a great flavor. The veggies were fresh. The sandwich stacked. Highly recommend. They have a bunch of sides like potato, pasta, and even green salads, plus Mac and cheese, but I went with the tomato soup. The tomato soup is housemade with white wine and aromatics and topped with a dill crème fraische. The soup was so good that I would have happily eaten a giant vat of it and would have been satisfied. This will probably be the side I order for life. Although they do have a daily soup so that may have to be tried in the future. Definitely stop in and check them out!

The sandwiches we had were so good. I had a fancy bologna (The Bourdain) sandwich essentially and my husband had a Reuben. I loved my sandwich. The location off Roe (and yours) has the chicken finger snack. At the location on Roe it's freaking incredible. The coffee bbq sauce is next level.. but at the Lawrence location it's overly greasy and the chicken is shaped weird. You also didn't give me the coffee bbq and that made me wanna cry. Also I know Lawrence has a bag ban but pleaseeeee give paper bags. I don't like my crappy chicken strips or girl breakfast flying around my car Also not great matcha. I really like your lattes and cake though! I never go inside because it's too crowded.. so obviously you're doing something right when the inside gets so full. Also love the vibe. Anyway I have mixed feelings as you can tell. Byeeeee!

It's too pricey for the quality. The location is nice and I do like the interior. It is fashioned to be very neo-quaint (I made that up). Everything is very eye catching and pleasing. They sell t-shirts, caps, dry tea and coffee. You can get all sorts of knick-knacks at this restaurant. The food is order at the counter style and they bring it to your table. I was here with a friend and we told the cashier we were eating in the restaurant. The funny thing is they brought us all disposable utensils. People at other tables had glass drinking cups but we had paper. Very odd and my friend was not too happy about us being singled out in this manner. I love biscuits and gravy and I thought the McLain's version was both good and bad. The biscuits and gravy were good but it came with a scrambled egg and hash browns. They were terrible. Microwave oven best. They don't give you a choice of egg- which is telling. You automatically get scrambled. I guess that's the best the microwave could off up. The total price on the biscuits and gravy and microwaved scrambled egg and hash browns was almost $10. Not worth it at all. My friend had the Farmer sandwich. It looked good and it was very big but my friend was unimpressed. All the items on their menu seemed overpriced. Bottom line for me is that it's just OK, nothing special. The restaurant is easy to access and visually appealing. There are no issues with staff and everyone seemed pleasant enough. I just think this place could be better.
