Stopped here twice on this trip and found the food ok, service and friendliness of the staff good. First time it was a multi meat sandwich with melted cheese, this stop was a pulled pork sandwich, I liked the first time sandwich better as this second visit pulled pork was overly cooked in my opinion, reminds me of Soylent Green. Place is clean and the price of a sandwich and drink about the same as anywhere else. They have tables outside and the weather was acceptable to enjoy the light and fresh air. The inside has plenty of seating and appears clean and maintained. The issue these days with any deli meat is the preservatives and ingredients, guaranteed not organic or healthy unfortunately every food establishment these days is selling unhealthy food so it's best to eat at home unless you are forced to because of travel or pure convenience e.g. the stove is broken or the fridge is empty. read more

I was not impressed with this place at all. Hardly any customers but the tables were still loaded with dishes from previous customers. The staff were loud and obnoxious. If they did their job's by cleaning the tables maybe the customers could have a better experience. I ordered the half sandwich and salad and both was below par. We love McAlisters. Food is good and staff friendly . We go quite often. Air is our "go to" restaurant.

We love McAlister's so we're happy they're in town. The tea is the best and now they have where you can get your own so I can add a dash of sweet or lemonade to my liking. They also have veggie chili so I can get nachos or a baked potato! The nachos came with fresh avocado slices. The staff was friendly. My son got a ham sandwich and he said it had an aftertaste... but he was also eyeing my nachos. And they have the best pickles. read more

I wanted something different for lunch, so I hit McAlister's Deli. I've only been here once before, and it was years ago. I decided to try a soup, and the potato soup was recommended. I was hungry, so I ordered the larger "bowl" portion, as opposed to the "cup". If this is what they consider a bowl, I'd really hate to see the cup. That's the first way this went sideways. The soup just wasn't very good. There were barely any pieces of potato in the soup. The potatoes that were there were tiny. Hardly a "hearty potato soup". For $7 no less, I was served a paper cup of basically canned Campbell's Potato Soup. I really wanted this to be good, but it just wasn't. No bread even to dip with? McAllister's just doesn't know how to do soup. So this was a pretty bad experience food wise. The restaurant was relatively clean, and the service was adequate. It looked a little chaotic like they were short staffed and needed more help. It was $11 out the door for what's pictured. Crappy soup and tea. No value there for what I received. We ordered Take Out about an hour before closing and they already shut off the soups / spuds. Legit said that he could microwave it... It's nice to see more food options in Lebanon. Nice location right off of South Cumberland Street with plenty of private parking. The staff were so sweet and greeted me as soon as I walked in. This is my first time at McAllister's and I will not be coming back anytime soon. My friends sandwich was very sloppy, I waited 30 minutes for my food when customers behind me got their food before me. When we told an employee one of the sandwiches had too much sauce they rolled their eyes as if they didn't want to remake the order. One of my other friends had mushy mushy Mac and Cheese, and when we asked if we could have another Mac and Cheese they said ' that's the way it comes.' And to " enjoy" it. read more

I was so excited when McAlisters was slated to come to Lebanon. We have loved this deli for years and a local drive always beats going to the next town over. Sadly to say, we will continue to drive to the next town over. The Lebanon location is just awful. We have given it multiple chances but last night was it for us. We won't be back. This location never seems to disappoint in just being awful. They are constantly out of items, the beverage area is always nasty and most of the time you need to wipe your own table down, that is if you can find one that isn't piled with dishes. Last night we attempted to order a couple sandwiches and some soup. The transaction was almost complete, points for free sandwich taken off and total given, when we were informed they were out of potato soup. Not wanting any other kind, we opted to just have chips. That's when it all went downhill, rapidly, with flames. Two employees, and one manager later we witnessed what could only be described as deli Armageddon. The original cashier just stood there with her mouth hanging open, the employee that was actually trying to fix the problem was also having to deal with a manager who's only solution to the complete shut down of a register was to yet "shut it down" again. We maneuvered back and fourth between two registers 3 times all the while watching our sandwiches sit in the window. Manager told cashier #1 to take the food out to customers #19. We were customers #19. Cashier #1 looked at us like we were suppose to give her instructions on this then proceeded to try and hand us the plates. Manager was so frustrated by that point she just told us to take the sandwiches and she would figure it out. It wasn't that big of an issue. The transaction could have been voided and rung back up. Management is totally lacking In leadership (same manager that couldn't find our to go order a few months ago. It was on the shelf she passed twice. My husband finally asked her , after 15 minutes, to look at the ticket on the bag, that looked like our order. WOW...it was. Go figure". The employees at the front, not all mind you, are obviously less then thrilled about their job and pass that attitude along to customers. Wish I would have gotten the name of the young lady actually trying to help, she needs a raise. read more

Very average deli food. The lettuce on my salad was warm and wilted. Chili was pretty good. A fountain drink was like $3.79. The "grilled" chicken on my caesar salad was more like "microwaved" chicken. Clean restaurant, comfy, and nice servers. read more

After looking at the reviews I have to say I was a bit afraid to dine here but my experience was great. I got the veggie chili and a sandwich. Lately all MacAlisters have been watering down their chili. Not here. It was the perfect consistency. The sandwich was fresh on all counts snd very tasty. I ordered the Rubin sandwich and Caesar salad. The salad was terrible the white center romaine lettuce and on the same plate with the cold Rubin sandwich so it was wet. Couldn't finish the sandwich because the bread was so dry except the area the salad had soaked into it. Oh I had a tea also it was ok. You know when you pay over $20 dollars for something like this you expect it to be fresh and not slid across your table without a word or glance. Like "is there anything else you need". This place is now so slow. Dining room is empty and it was going to be 30-45 minutes for a sandwich and cup of soup. Apparently dine-in customers do not receive any kind of priority. If you want you McAllisters fix you better order online or for delivery and get it in a hour before you want it. Fine-n will only have you sitting here for at least half an hour. My quest for dinner started at Panera Bread to meet friends for a bite and conversation. Panera was drive-thru only due to short staff. Quick change of plans and the eight of us (all in separate cars) headed up the road to McAllister's. The line was a good size and my hopes were up since it appeared to have a good number of people midweek. It's a typical order at the counter and the staff delivers your food kinda place, so common post Covid. Plenty of seating and the tables were mostly picked up promptly, so it was easy to find a table that would hold all of us. The menu is overwhelming - how many option for soup-salad-sandwich can there be? I'd be ok with that if the food was good. It was meh at best. My half a baked potato was ginormous and cold with congealed cheese on top. (Bleh) The cup of soup was warm but I've had better out of a can from the supermarket. The company was fantastic and the staff was very thorough to get the right answer as to if an item had gluten in it (being gluten free isn't always easy - but soup and a potato are pretty safe). Will I be back? Only if it's the only place open read more

I ordered a choose 2 while I waited for my tires to get changed next door. There was only 1 young lady taking orders & maybe 3 food preparers. I waited just over 20 minutes for my half a cup of soup & half a club sandwich on gluten free bread. When it arrived, it was on wheat glutenous bread. So I asked if they could remake it with gf bread, & of course they said yes. 20 minutes later, when I got the notification that my car was ready, I went to the window to see how much longer I'd need to wait for my 1/2 club. The young workers in the back argued about bread for a minute, then wrapped my hastily made sandwich up (without the pickle I had asked for). I suppose I was just luck to get my food. read more

i tried the new restaurant in Lebanon yesterday! i would relate it to a Panera. they have salads, sandwiches, wraps, and baked potatoes (spuds)!! you have the option to get half of two entrees which i really like. it is pretty pricey, about $10 for a choose 2 or an full entree. their "famous sweet tea" is pretty much just normal sweet tea for $3 lol, but i enjoyed it!the soft drinks are $3.69, which is insane to me. i'd recommend just getting water. although Mcalister's is quite expensive, it is definitely a great place to eat and i will be returning. read more

The service at this location is consistently subpar. On our most recent visit, we waited 28 minutes for our order, only to be told that part of it had to be remade. We received our order 12 minutes after that. No one apologized or even offered to bring part of our order so we could start eating. On another recent visit, the two workers taking orders were arguing with each other in front of customers. The food is great, but it's hard to justify eating at this location. read more

I have always loved McAlisters until the last few years, the quality has consistently gone down hill so when they opened a new one in Lebannon I was excited to try it. We go there often to see my daughter and we're excited to see a new offering there. Well, I always have gotten the veggie chil as a vegetarian and it has gotten so watery. I was hoping for it to be better here but was again disappointed. It's honestly a scam. They have the gall to give you Chili water with a few beans. I don't know how they can look you in the eye and serve you this. It's used to be so good, thick and filling. No more. Just charge us to cover what it used to be. Great STAFF! OVER PRICED lean sandwiches! NO-VALUE-FOR-YOUR-MONEY! They are tasty with very little meat! The "King Sandwich" is the only sandwich which has some meat in it! You need a magnifying glass to find the few-paper-thin-slices-of chicken-in-their-Chicken Salad! The soup portions will leave you hungry! TINY! And expensive!
