Food was mediocre. Service was mediocre. Tables, chairs, and floor were sticky. Not a good experience. Will not go back to this location.

We eat at LOTS of different sandwich/subs shops. Although there were things I liked and disliked, overall the sandwich tasted great! We split a full size sub and had plenty to eat. If you order fries, be prepared...you get ALOT Things I liked...... Homemade French fries to order. They cut the potato into fries instead of using frozen. Fresh lemonade to order. All lemons cut and ready to be squeezed ;) Things I didn't like..... Not able to see the any of the ingredients that is put on the subs I would def suggest to "check in" on Yelp to every place you go. We received 20% off our order. read more

The Hermitage location has been pretty solid the few times I've been. I had the cheesesteak this evening and it was pretty good. I'm not sure why it's so difficult to get lettuce and tomatoes. They're not available on the website to select so I called the order in to pick up. The receipt says lettuce and tomatoes but there are no lettuce and tomatoes to be found on this sandwich. read more

6 people in line and the "manager" sat in the back trying to carry on a conversation with the two young lady's trying there best to keep up with the orders. After the manager got off the broken chair he was sitting in, he swept the floor while they were preparing food. Then he explained that he got the job because his brother in law. Worst service ever. I sent a Email to the store manager about the manager there Fallon she is rude and just plain nasty. Out in front of the store cussing and smoking and loud on her phone. My family came a few weeks ago and the police was there arresting a employee. The last few times, the food here hasn't been that great. We used to eat here a lot, but I think we are going to take a break from this location. The last time we ordered two of the 8 inch artichoke heart sandwiches. Both of the sandwiches had artichokes that had the hard pieces on the leaves. I've never had that happen before here. Maybe they are using a new brand of artichoke hearts. All I know is that we had to open the sandwiches, feel the artichokes & remove the ones that were inedible. We also ordered a large French fry to spilt. The last two times the fry cup wasn't even full. Before it would be overflowing in the bag. The price of the food for what you get isn't that great. It has a teriyaki sauce that makes it stand out from other veggie sandwiches. Simple stuff, really: - fresh ingredients - hot (not just "heated") meats and onions - great breads - quick service - courteous staff (and, freshly squeezed lemonade!) When a place masters the fundamentals, you have to take notice! This place does sandwiches right. I had the Chicken Teriyaki: bonafide white breast meat, with grilled onions and mushrooms, and just the right amount of tangy sauce. 8" sub for $5.69. Worth it! ...and just what I needed. I love Penn Station SOOOO much, but this experience was just gross. Ordered a 12 inch Italian for the wife and I to split. Older, larger gentleman makes my sandwich, without gloves and without washing his hands first. I know this is a violation of the TN bare-hands contact code. A tall blond girl that works there walked by and I noticed a GIANT hickey on her neck. Talk about the gross-out factor. This happened Saturday Sept 7th at approximately 2:30pm. I have written to their customer feedback department and I'm hoping their standards of sanitation will improve. Extremely disappointed. Don't waste your $$$$. Ordered a medium Italian. Came with NO MORE than 2 or 3 ounces of meat, plus one very thin slice of cheese. Just a sprinkle of minced lettuce, a couple of banana peppers, and 4 very small, very thin slices of Roma tomatoes. Any one of the ingredients were shameful. It was very scrimpy to say the least.... NONE of it was up to par. And at a cost of $10.32 was very much over-priced. Will not eat there ever again. On top of that, the soda ice machine was not working at all, and the rest room soap dispenser was bone dry. In summary, it was too much money for too little substance and in less than satisfactory conditions. Real value of what I got was $4.00 to $4.50. The guys that work here are always nice every time I visit. The food is pretty good. I definitely wouldn't go with the pizza sandwich again. It was so-so. However, I have had the sausage sandwich and that is amazing. Their fries are natural cut and best with malt vinegar in my opinion. I was never into vinegar and fries until I came here. Normally the service and food are great. But today I was very disappointed. I asked for Reubens with the dressing on the side. They put some on the side and a LOT on the sandwich. But, recently I went in and Jessica, A true American hero, recommended the Italian after I wanted to branch out from my usual Club. Changed my life. BUT HERE'S WHERE IT GETS GOOD: I ordered a sandwich over the phone. I get to the shop and LIKE A COMPLETE JACKASS I forgot my wallet! I've been on a sub kick lately and this place did not let me down. It's a little pricey in my opinion ($8.49 for a 12" sub) but all the ingredients are fresh and top quality. I loved the hearth-baked bread and my sub was toasted to perfection. They offer hand cut, "flash fried" potatoes which were pretty good, too. I got the 8" sub and fries this time, but next time I think I will skip the fries and splurge on the 12" sandwich since it was the star of the meal anyway. I also want to try their hand squeezed lemonade. I'm sure I will be back soon! read more
