HORRIBLE customer service almost every time I go. Long wait times for food that comes out sloppy and wrong almost every time. Manager stated she would cover my family's meal the next time we come in, and then they backtracked when we tried to do it. How are you out of baked potatoes at noon???! My little girl had a surgical procedure and all she talked about was getting a baked potato from McCallister's since she hasn't eaten since yesterday. One thing I can say about this location of McAlister's Deli--it is consistently bad. It's the only restaurant that can ruin a baked potato by putting hunks of half-cooked bacon on it. I got a salad tonight full of spoiled, slimy greens in it and hunks of half-cooked bacon. Bacon should be crispy and crushed to add to foods. They are consistently out of spuds by 7 or 7:30. You'd think they would know to bake more by now. read more

They had one register open with a line of people out the door. The girl working the register was very friendly but also very slow. There seemed to be a manager standing by the food window just watching the cooks the entire time. Maybe he could have been on one of the registers too. The food was delicious though. Has been a while since I have been here. Last time the staff were all on their phones and all of the empty tables were dirty. Has been about 9 months and the table is still sticky, food on the floors and it smells like nasty mop bucket water in here. Glad it was to go because I couldn't eat inside here. Ordering took forever. There was only one person in front of us and we were standing there for literally 10 minutes. There was multiple employees and only one working the register. Getting our food took three times as long! While we were standing at the register, a lady walked up and asked the employees if she was going to get her salad. She had been waiting 20 minutes for a salad.....the place was not packed and multiple people finished eating and left which emptied the place even more. The food is great and the strawberry lemonade is awesome but the service is slllooowwwww. Sense of urgency from the team working the front is so low, snail pace low. Usually we love McAlisters...except this one. Took forever to get my food after they messed up the order up 5 times...I didn't know that was possible! First they lied about no potatoes....got that fixed after 15 minutes. Then food came out fixed and matched. At one point the sever said "we brought you your food and you said you didn't want it". I placed an order to have delivered by Door Dash. The order was for 2 sandwiches, 2 PLAIN chips and 2 drinks. My order was delivered promptly. Unfortunately, delivered was 2 sandwiches (1 good, 1 soggy) and one order of vinegar chips. That is all. Literally more than 1/2 my order was missing or wrong. When I called to let them know of the mistake, the lady proceeded to tell me that I received vinegar chips, instead of what I ordered, because that was what was delivered to their store. When I reminded her that that was not what I paid for and I didn't want them, she offered me a bag of chips on my next visit. I told her that was not OK, and she hung up on me. How does a bag of chips I already paid for, replace 2 bags of chips and 2 drinks I paid for? I called back to ask to speak with a manager, but they just let the phone ring. I had someone else call from a different number, in case they were screening calls and didn't want to discuss their mistakes. The new caller got someone that transferred him to the Live Oak store, but the phone rang and rang and then went to a busy signal. It was 8:53PM, so they weren't closed, although I don't know if they were "too busy" to answer or just wanted to stop answering the phone early. This lady's attitude was very unprofessional as she treated me as if I should just take whatever they give me and shut up. She obviously doesn't care about her job, if she thinks hanging up on someone is the way to treat someone whose order was already messed up. Usually I go to McAlister's when I have to run favor or DoorDash. Every single time has been HORRIBLE. They always mess up the customers orders, every person who works there is awfully rude, and I experience the worst customer service every time I'm there. Food is delicious however I feel this location may be managed horribly. One of my times in they had no potatoes. How do you have a big chunk of your menu with no potatoes? The food is not why I rated the place with two stars, it's because of the slow, uninterested service of the staff. Management is not running the show here. Be sure to bring your patience if you want to eat here. We called in the order by phone and the operator stated 20 min. but once we showed to pick up the order, the staff had us park our car. I guess it wasn't ready :/ After waiting for what seemed to be over 30 minutes, we went inside to see what was going on. We walked into the place and the staff was eating a meal at the cash register!! No line or crowd. Just plain lack of care for parked customers!!! I don't eat McAlister's often and when I do, it's at the 1604 location. The food was hot, fresh and delicious. I had the broccoli cheese soup and the Southwest Turkey sandwich. A first for both. I actually went looking for the muffaaletta which, unfortunately they no longer have. Years ago in Alabama this was one of my favorite sandwiches. I also had the peach tea which was excellent, I don't drink tea much but this tea was amazing. This could've been a 5 star review but a few things really stood out for me. The ladies bathroom stall door handle is hanging off and the bathroom needed cleaning. The self serve tea dispenser was sitting in a big puddle of tea, it looked very unappealing. Lastly, I sat outside and the table was so wobbly I had to move to another one. McAlister's need to do a little housekeeping. read more

If you enjoy waiting 30 mins in line then 30 mins in the parking lot after you ordered online an hour and 30 minutes ago then feel free to come here and suffer. Especially if you're here during your lunch hour. Then they make your food wrong. Why are there so many people working but nothing coming out? It's hilarious and sad at the same time. Also as I was walking in to grab my food because I didn't want to be forgotten, a group of people were walking out complaining that inside the restaurant was an hour wait for food. My co worker and I work at Randolph AFB and we decided to go to lunch at McAlister because he said the food was good. Well, we placed our order and we waited. We asked what the status was and we were told that it would out shortly. After about 25 minutes, it finally was served. We had to take it to go because our lunch hour was ending. This place has really gone down hill. It's taken almost 40 minutes to get my to go order, (which I ordered 20 minutes prior online) because they didn't even start making it until I got there. The staff is very disorganized and not really paying attention. The guy in front of me came back twice because his order was wrong. All the cashiers are standing around and chatting with hot food behind them, and there is a cook in the back making fun of the other cooks for "not being good in the first place" I really like there food but this whole experience has just been awful. Very poor service. One employee taking orders while literally 5 others were standing around talking about music. There was only one other person in front of yet yet it somehow took literally 10 minutes until she took my order. Save your money and play it safe at a subway or Quiznos. Hope at least you get what you order. And if it's a hot sandwich, please hope you get yours hot. Mine was ice cold and when they brought it back they seemed to have thrown the whole plate in the microwave and nuked the jerky into it. This easily could have been a terrible experience. They had lost our order in the system and our food was not coming. I asked the waitress why it's taking so long and she looked into it. The manager remade the order and even refunded me. I really appreciate the stand up performance of the staff. They had 3 staff members come over and apologize. The staff at this particular store are either poorly trained or highly disinterested. The young man that took our order couldn't answer a simple question my wife had for him, and the young lady that was supposed to call out my name for the to go order seemed lost and intimidated. I knew it was my order so I went for it, she just walked away with no words. The only " Thank you, have a nice day! " came from me as I walked toward the door. I decided to go back recently because I loved their summer salad, but yet again I was disappointed. This restaurant was so appetizing when they first opened. Now the food is always cold, never fresh, and just thrown together. I ordered the summer berry half salad and the veggie baked potato. Baked potato was dry, over-cooked, and cold. I'm giving three stars only because the food is good, I'd give it 1 star for everything else, the store smells like dirty mop water, the managers stand around just joking a being loud, one even smells of weed sometimes. The employees stand around while maybe one or two are rushing around the store cleaning tables and checking on customers during the morning/lunch rush and the others are in the back just talking away, it's normally a short girl, she eats up there then just shoots the shit with the other managers and uses her phone while the other girl(s) rush to clean everything. This place has been going downhill. I wish there was another location closer to where I live so I could stop coming here! Way too expensive. I ordered the orange cranberry chicken/turkey? Sandwich. It didn't look anything like the picture. I think they forgot the middle slice of bread. We were in the area and decided to stop at Mcalisters for dinner. I always order the same thing and as I was eating my sandwich I tasted something weird. I took a few more bites and kept tasting it.
