it was horrible , I walked in and the first thing the woman said was "we close in thirty minutes , are y'all gonna stay or leave" . I said we would stay and not only did she give me an attitude the whole time but when I got my nachos is was all cold and missing cheese , and when I asked her she said "we're out , I told you we closed in 30 minutes " and didn't try to make any amends at all. We took a group from the nearby campground to this location for supper late Friday night and we were in and out in no time...I had the grilled chicken club and it was great and the sweet tea is always a reason to go! The only complaint we had at our table was the chicken tortilla soup seemed to be lacking chicken and could use some more 'substance' in general. One person working up front. Noticed that the ice for our drinks was scooped with the actual cup instead of an ice scoop. The employees hands were also not washed before getting ice... so that means he went from touching the register, handling money, to scooping ice. They were also not washed before grabbing our plates of food to bring them out to us. They shouldn't have one person working the front if they aren't going to wash their hands before doing different tasks. read more

This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had when it comes to the employees. I had an employee tell me "not to eat here" and if that didn't make me take him up on his offer, about to order another employee interrupted me by spouting out profanity right in front of me! I normally love McAlister's Deli. And this particular day was no different as far as the food. But on Christmas Eve the staff made it clear they did not want customers. One of the cashiers actually stated, "please lock that door so no one else comes in". Shortly after receiving our food, the cook came up and locked the door 7 minutes before closing. They lost 4 customers as a result of this. When it was closing time the manager was surprised to find the door locked. I was very disappointed with the actions of the staff. read more

Overpriced for a really lousy sandwich. The roast beef cheese and horseradish came on a hard tasteless chunk of some unidentifiable bagette and where was the horseradish. It's a pretty strong flavor. You can normally taste it if it's there. The ice tea was brown water. But the potato salad was pretty good. There are thousands of places you can get a lousy sandwich for half the price. read more

I WISH THEY HAVE THIS PLACE IN MARYLAND!!!! Omg I am in total awe of a sandwich shop. I know....its pretty crazy. So after a night of partying in MB I was craving a wrap. My husband and I drove out to a neighboring brunch spot near the beach but when we saw the sign for McAlister's deli, we decided to go into their store instead. I am happy we came here. They literally have every deli sandwich I could possibly want. It took me a while to make up my mind but I ended up getting the McAlister's club on a wrap and I had them put their sweet peach/fruity sauce on it. My husband got their roast beef sandwich which was also really good. On our way back to MD a couple days later we headed to McAlister's but they were not open for another hour. Once we got to North Carolina we tried to go to one there but they were all located around Charlotte and that was way out of our way. I think the closet one is in Herndon VA...BOOOO! What a great place to eat! Fresh healthy food, friendly efficient service and very accommodating to my special request. We ordered; Black Angus Club; twice, The New Yorker Club (huge, pastrami & corned beef); twice, The Veggie (The BEST) as a wrap instead of sandwich and added chicken with a splendid light sauce; twice, and a McAlister's Club. The sides, which were included, Fresh Fruit Cup (sweet) and Potato Salad were just as fresh. By reordering different times of our favorites while on vacation, the consistency deserves a 5 star acknowledgement. We were so pleased and satisfied with this establishment. We will return again. This Deli is like a Panera with less "healthy food" (and that is not a bad thing!). They've got a "pick two" just like Paneras, but they've got Subs, and sandwiches and Chili, and all kinds of salads, and nachos, and their specialty, huge baked, loaded spuds (loaded with just about anything you would want from the rest of the menu. Half a potato, with all the fix ins is a meal in itself! But Try the Big Nasty...Roast beef on a hoagie roll, spread open faced, with cheese and gravy smothering it. Half of this sucker will fill you up. Take the other half of the pick two and nurture your healthy side. Get the Italian chopped salad. It's like an antipasto, and it's delicious. We've never been disappointed at McAlister's. read more

My family came in to eat dinner tonight after a long day of traveling. The food was pretty great and it would have been a perfect, peaceful, late dinner but unfortunately, the staff seemed to be having a lot of disagreements. For the majority of our dinner, we listened to a guy in the back yelling at the wait staff and treating them like they were dirt. The entire conversation could be heard from any spot in the restaurant. The bad part is, the general manager stood there and listened to the guy in the back yell very disrespectfully at the young lady who was trying to gather food for the guests, and he didn't say a word! My wife and I went to McAlister's for dinner. I waited out on the patio while my wife placed our order inside. She finally came out with our drinks and she said it took forever to order our food. When the food order finally came out to us we were both sadly disappointed. My wife ordered the veggie on pita bread. We are still looking for the veggies. My wife ordered me one of McAlisters special. I'm not sure of the name but it had ham on it and some type of vinaigrette on it. Again, mostly bread and very little substance. I hate to complain but I told my wife that had to be the worse meal that we've had in the last two years that we have lived here. Oh well live eat and learn where not to eat. read more
