Great sandwich, but the music was so loud I couldn't hear what the guy was asking what l wanted on my sandwich.

I love all the food choices and the employees are awesome! Unfortunately every time I go in the place it is dirty. I almost lost my shoe on the sticky floor right in-front of the register. Food and crumbs all over the tables and floor and this was before the lunch time rush. Im post this not to Bach but because I really would like to see this deli succeed. Please clean it up. Let me start with the quality of food itself has not changed greatly over the years. (I worked at a different location while in college that was verrrrry busy). Im mostly giving 3 stars for lack of service. We ordered curbside and after waiting the allotted time frame (and some) my boyfriend went in. The lady basically pointed to the food sitting on the what I assume is their to go shelf. No biggie. Get back to the car and our food items are lukewarm and some are cold. Im like thats odd I worked here (granted it was years ago) but the toasted sandwiches should be warm cause the bread goes through a toaster. We also had no silverware, napkins and they forgot my boyfriend's chips. My boyfriend then goes back in to get the items and asks if they still do curbside and the guy replies yes...and my boyfriend basically replies thats odd cause we were sitting out there WITH our car lights on earlier. (Note we were the only ones in the parking lot and in the designated area) -We choose to eat in our car for the safety of ourselves and others. We both work in hospitals as essential workers so these type of things are very important during COVID especially for the immunocompromised so staff please be diligent for those who need curbside. We WILL be back but hopefully this doesn't happen to others. P.S They have GF bread! read more

Come here very frequently, mostly because me and my family LOVEEEEEEEEEEE the tea! It's my favorite tea, so I got the free tea pass for a month, and I am sure getting good use of it! I love the cup that comes with too! And the food is absolutely amazing! I get the ham and cheese melt and it's one of my favorite sandwiches from restaurants! The inside of this location is so cute, and all of the workers are so kind and patient! Only reason I put 4 stars is because I have ordered online a few times and the orders have been sort of messed up to completely wrong! But other than that, I love this place!! read more

Their signature club and the Reuben were both excellent. The potato salad tastes homemade. Can't wait to try more menu items. Happy to have new sandwich choices since the usual have gone a bit downhill in recent years. You can order ahead and pick up your order at the shelf - like Panera does. The price though is still a bit steep - I think the Reuben was $9 bucks. Still beats most fast food in the area. Suggestion for McAlister's - more crowder type soup choices, maybe a french onion. read more

Brand new and delicious. Friendly and quick service. The choose 2 options is great as you can get any sandwich on the menu. I had the tomato bisque which was steaming hot and served with green onion on top. I also had the chicken salad on toasted croissant. The potato salad is the kind made with pickle relish so it had a sweet, creamy taste to it. read more

Decided to try out McAlister's after hearing a lot about it. It's only been open a few weeks, but the service was very good, even from the newest employees! The food seemed fresh and I enjoyed the soups a lot. The veggie chili was too spicy for my kids, but I thought it was fine. The beverage service was great. I loved the iced teas and fresh lemonades. We decided to give this place another try after many messed up orders. Asked for crackers for the chili, no crackers. No avocado on the Cobb salad. Very small amount of mustard in the sandwiches. This place looks like a Panera Bread but it is so much more than that. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars was because my chicken cesar wrap could have used a little more chicken and a little less lettuce. But let me tell you that it was still an incredible wrap. The lettuce was fresh and crunchy and the flavors really worked well together. It was filling but I felt healthy after I ate it. Their lemonade is delicious and for $2.65 it is huge. Sweetened with pure cane sugar it was just the right touch of sweetness. The cinnabon cheesecake was out of this world, I definitely recommend it. I will definitely be ordering from here again. read more

if I could have given a 10 star review, I would have. I ordered the Angus Club and it was the best sandwich I ever had. It was super fresh and well made. I've had many deli sandwiches from many different sandwich shops, there was no comparison, Mc Alisters is the best. The only negative is it took quite a while to get the sandwich, but I guess that should expected when they're making fresh when ordered. I will definitely be going there often. read more

The Niles location is in the middle of a really big shopping area. And the deli from the outside kind of looks like a want to be Panera. Except I finally went in today and found out that it's 100 times better than Panera every conspire to bed. The service was super friendly and the pic to had me eating the turkey sandwich that was on whole-grain bread and really tasty along with the chicken tortilla soup is one of the better versions of the same tasted. Me and my wife frequent this area quite often and always wanted to try this place, so we did this evening and to say we weren't very impressed although like the other reviews here the baked potatoes themselves were quite good if I were to say I would come back for anything it would definitely be the baked potatoes macaroni was just okay and the two things that really made me not happy with this place was our sandwiches were just a bunch of bread would not much meat at all and they were training someone at the register making us wait before they take our order and the wait time was quite long, so it's unfortunate maybe I'll give this place another try but I don't think I will be back. read more

I was delivering with Postmates as a courier at that time and it was a regular pit stop for my regulars in Vernon Hills when I was around for brunch and lunch rush. Beyond Delicious. Worth the drive. Ask about the many different ways you can build you own iced tea or lemonade at their stores. I do a shot of black cherry and peach and it takes a turn in my day, paired with a sandwich that taste like my mind only dreamt of tasting by watching those darn gourmet sandwich commercials that the screens are filled with now a days. This is an absolute winner in my experience. Also, you can definitely feed 2 for lunch break with 1 sandwich so if you gotta save money and feed an extra mouth, this was a solution that worked for me. I wanted to like this place since I live close by. Waited close to 10 minutes and was the next person in line the whole time. I got the Reuben sandwich and it was the biggest disappointment. It was awful. It wasn't the good corned beef but your standard tasteless meat from a square block (meat was square). The sandwich was also on a different bread than advertised and the bread was dried out. I don't know what else to say other than it wasn't good and I got robbed paying 10 bucks for that sandwich. Honestly, I would not go back, even if they gave me a free meal....this is just a place with cheap quality food trying to be something more upscale. Not sure what people see in this place. Food is ok service bad and management is terrible we ordered two times on phone both times did not get code to add points in app both times management was impossible to deal with to get points food was cold and things were missing in the order and they did nothing to fix I have gone to McAlister's in other cities when I traveled for work and was excited when one was goi g to open near us first time we thought it was opening pains and with the pandemic we wanted to give them another chance but we gave them 3 and when I was basically being treated like I was asking for something for nothing when I wanted the points for the app and at least warm food and the pickles with the sandwiches which were not in the orders twice we are done and this last time the counters were sticky just too gross in a time of a pandemic when there are other places that want business too bad I even have to give them a star they don't deserve it read more

I am a fan of McAlister's Deli and have been to this location approximately three times. Stopped in Saturday night around 8:00 to pick up a sandwich on the way home from my daughter's house. There was only one other customer there at the time, and she already had her food to go. She was chatting with Jesus, who I assume had taken her order and would also be taking my order. They kept chatting the whole time he was taking my order, so much so that he had to keep asking me what I had just said (which was that I wanted no spicy, brown mustard on my sandwich...probably told him this at least twice, maybe three times). I don't know if they knew each other or not, but they kept right on talking which made me feel like I was in the way (and no customer should have to feel like they are intruding when supporting a business). If you are working, then you should be working; save your long, personal conversations for your own time. Unfortunately, I can't locate my receipt so I don't know if Jesus ended up entering my order correctly or not. What I do know is that I ended up having to scrape spicy, brown mustard off of my sandwich...which was very annoying. read more
