    Jalapeño Turkey Crunch

Really good foods and desserts are very good service five out of five because of the drinks in the food

    Southwest Chicken & Avocado Salad

I ordered the Southwest salad and the avocado was all black and old. The lettuce was hit or miss. Would not recommend.

Kids turkey sandwich with Mac & Cheese

Well let me start by saying me , my wife and daughter were on vacation. Let me set the mood- I got food poisoning from some burger joint next to the hillbilly restaurant in Townsend . I finally recovered. First meal after dealing with the complete annihilation of my guts , I chose this place.. a place that refers to themself as a deli.. this is not a deli..so here is what we ordered French dip and added horseradish sauce: this was a stack of overcooked roasted . The bread was soft , didn't appear toasted . I ordered Mac n cheese. , reheated soft dry Mac n cheese.. pickle . Best part of my meal Black angus club: sandwich bread was toasted but not used after toasted. From all my years in the industry , they toasted it and set it aside to fill an order. Potato soup side; old soup, not worth eating it. Tasted rancid Kids turkey sandwich: again, old toast with a slice of dry turkey. Mac n cheese... daughter, loves Mac n cheese but don't touch this ... she took a bite of the sandwich and never went back... Sad, I've read so many reviews complimenting and saying so many good things... the last few reviews were ehhhh. Don't get caught up on positive reviews.. I understand your on vacation and willing to try these businesses. You read reviews and choose based on reviews. Don't make the mistake I did and waste my money. Leave pigeon forge and hit up restaurants in gatlinburg, or head out to Knoxville.

Dirty floors right after location opened

Walk in one of our favorite restaurants, McAllisters, at 11am. Location 89 opens at 10:30. The place looks disgusting and unclean. Did the night crew not do their nightly duties? Did the morning crew not want to correct it for the customers? Ordered and was told they were out of one the items for what we ordered. We asked them if we could substitute and they said "I don't think so". She kept pulling her hair back. Not very good food safety. Then, two girls walk in, clock-in, and go right to work. No hand washing. No gloves were worn. Needless to say, I won't be back. It's a shame, because this could be a great place to dine. Service sucked. Cleanliness was nowhere near being up to expectations

    Potato soup

This was a decent deli style place. The food was decent, but the soup was maybe saltier than I'd want, but soup from restaurants often can be. I had the potato soup and a chicken sandwich with a peach Chipotle sauce on it...the sandwich was really cool and delicious. The chicken was sliced thin and layered. But the sauce was the real winner. It tasted exactly as the name suggested! All in all, not bad. Service? Pretty good. But the staff were talking and two members talked to a guy who used to live in MD and stated that Maryland was full of violent crime. The ridiculous thing about this is that the violent crime rate is about 4.5/1000 people in MD...but 6.2/1000 in TN. Sevier County even has a violent crime rate of 5.6/1000 people. Maybe they shouldn't open their mouths in front of people and insult their home state when they aren't even correct. ‍

When we entered the tiny dining room, we were greeted by walls covered with hand colored dollar bills. A warm fire was welcome on the chilly morning. The owners quickly seated us and took drink orders. The owner explained that they moved from New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. All the food is prepared fresh by hand and authentic. I shared a Crab Cake Po'Boy with hubs. The sandwich was a daily feature and huge. Really huge. And delicious. My brother had the Oyster Po'Boy that I highly recommend. I tasted the large succulent, hand breaded oysters. This is the sandwich that makes you want to make the trip to Gatlinburg. My daughter and SIL had a half Muffalatta sandwich, which was huge and fresh packed with olives, meats, cheese and other good stuff. The kids shared a fish platter which came with a huge fried white fish and home fries. They actually ate their whole plate. The kid's meals are awesome. This is possibly the best cafe in Gatlinburg. The owners make you feel like family, the food is awesome and the dining room is interesting and cozy. We took the trolly into town so we didn't have to deal with parking. Parking is a bear downtown.

So much so, I was trying to figure out how to come back here before my trip ended. The gumbo and catfish nuggets are some of the best food I've had since New Orleans. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and skip the corn dogs for something way better and come here.
