The food is great, but you do have to worry about it being spat in. The manager was EXTREMELY rude. And her friend whom she was dancing with behind the counter was very rude as well. All they did was roll their eyes. I asked for the managers name who was rude to my family and she brought over cookies to make up for her behavior towards my family and just threw them down, rolled her eyes and walked off after whispering about us, pointing and laughing. This McAllister's was understaffed and as such the existing staff did not have the most pleasant disposition. Granted, during this time every restaurant has its challenges with getting enough staff however I have been to other restaurants that were adequately staffed and everyone was happy to see the customers. read more

It's your typical McAlister's and you always be delighted with the best sandwiches. Located ideally on the Parkway in Pigeon Forge. The staff is super nice and the place is maintained in great condition. The service is super fast. Their deli and soup tastes the exact same (and good) as any of their other McAlisters. My favorite being the Veggie club and the chili. Recommend going there (as opposed to any other pizza joints) when you are visiting here or if you are a local! read more

In pigeon forge there are very places for a vegetarian to eat. In fact some places have no offerings at all for a vegetarian. The 4 stars reflect that this is one that has a couple of options, and is pretty decent. There are baked potatoes, a veggie sandwich, salads, and a couple items that you can use to create a meal. First of all this chain was highly recommended to us and it was a big disappointment. The lady taking our order was super slow. We were 5 people together. Secondly we don't eat any pork AT ALL and the nacho basket had a cheese dip with pork in it. The menu didn't clarify that there was pork in there. No one told us that their chili had pork in it. This is such an awfully managed restaurant. They had about 12-15 people standing in line for over 10 minutes when a disgruntled employee yelled out : not taking orders for 30 minutes... we are backed up!! It was just so rude ! They prioritize to go orders from an online app over orders in person. This is not the way a business should be run. You can't blame cornavirus on poor management! I was thrilled to find a McAlister's in the area as I haven't had their yummy food in forever and unfortunately they are nowhere to be found in Orlando. This location was located right as we were driving back from a morning of hiking so it made for the perfect post hike meal! And since it was after 2pm we must have missed the lunch crowd because it was fairly empty. Both my husband and I each ordered one of their signature spuds. I went with an ole faithful- the spud ole' which is topped with chili (I opted for veggie chili) , melted cheese and jalapeños . And no meal can go without a refreshing sweet tea to wash your meal down! Our meals were brought out to our tables and the employee asked if I would like extra jalapeños to which I said Yes! The meal was delicious, more than filling and just like I remembered. They have other menu options like salads, sandwiches and pasta but the spuds are always my go to if I come across a location. Once you're finished dining, you can leave your plating and silverware for employees to clear. It felt a little awkward like we were lazy diners but there were no trash bins to take our plates to. We ordered lunch to go and very few were wearing face coverings (I only noticed the guests) and had no concept of social distancing in the restaurant or people waiting for to-go orders crowding by the front door. After we received our order and left to drive to a spot to picnic, we discovered they shorted us two pickles and a cookie that they charged to us. I called and complained to the manager and mentioned the crowding and lack of masks and she simple said that they were'n't required. Don't go there if you have any COVID-19 concerns. read more

McAlister's is a perfect lunch spot if you're in the mood for fresh sandwiches and salads. My boyfriend and I made a pitstop at this location while heading out of Gatlinburg and we were content and happy with our meal. I ordered the McAlister's Club sandwich and he had the Orange Cranberry Club. Both were fresh and very tasty. I also love the sweet tea they serve in a huge cup that even comes with refills. Having been to several dozen McAlister's across the Midwest/South, I wondered if this location is trying to buck the trend of quality soups and sandwiches we're used to when coming here. The flavor and freshness seemed to take a step back, even in this area which is littered with an endless amount of chains. While the service was fine, the pastries tasted like they were bought from the 3-day old special price section at Publix. They didn't taste fresh baked, which they normally do. And, the lemonade was sour. What also surprised me was the quality of their strawberry lemonade. If you're a chain that prides itself on having "legendary" sweet tea and lemonade, then brew it on site and make it special, rather than pouring a puree into the lemonade and calling it strawberry. Very disappointing. Still, if you're in town for a quick lunch and are craving a sandwich, soup or loaded potato, you'll be contend here, just don't expect to be wowed. And, with no Jason's Deli in town, this is the best quality you're going to get. read more

Literally THE worst service I've had in a long time. We are on vacation from the Charlotte area and decided to grab dinner at McAlister's since it is always so good back home. They were not busy at all... walked right up to the register (myself, husband & 2 kids) and we were ignored. As we started one by one placing our order the young guy consistently continued to start up conversation with the 2 other young men behind the register. No one acknowledged the guest walking in behind us.... we stood there for probably 10-20 seconds after we finished saying our order for the guy to realize we were done talking to give us the total. I wanted to say something so bad about how rude he was but it had been a long day and we were just ready to sit and eat. Half the tables in the restaurant had leftover food and plates still on them---again they were not busy so why had tables not been cleaned?!? Anyway, we sat down got our food which looked as though it had been thrown on the plates. My husband and I were shocked since we'd never been to a McAlister's where the staff was so rude. I would absolutely NOT recommend this McAlister's in Pigeon Forge for you snd your families. There are plenty of other deli style establishments in the area with friendly people. I did an online order for delivery. It said it was going to be delivered by 9pm. 9pm rolled around and it wasn't here so I called because the website said they closed at 9:30pm. The girl I spoke with was extremely nice and explained that orders for delivery were actually delivered by Doordash and they hadn't been showing up. She then immediately asked if I'd like a refund. I told her no I wanted the food and I'd just come get it (was really close to the hotel I was staying in). I got the food, got back to my room and ate and the food was extremely good! Also, as I was eating I got an email from them saying they adjusted my payment and refunded like half of it. I was shocked. They have a huge menu and we hadn't been there in a while so we were taking a while to decide what to order. We were craving it for dinner when night and right when we came inside it grossly obvious that the cook in the back was very angry. And when the person at the counter asked for something to be changed she was very angry and made some remarks I can't remember but what I do remember is in front of all the customers the cook slammed the plate down on the counter and had everyone in the building looking. This does not include ordering and before ordering wait time. The poor girls grabbing the food had to keep telling those in the back what to send forward because they were all over the place. It was terrible. I'm not even hungry anymore now that I've waited so long! Not only did I have to wait forever but they were not enforcing the mask mandate either. The employees preparing the food weren't even wearing a mask. The ladies taking orders were wearing them but did not ask customers to put theirs on. It was a mess. This place is going down hill. First off, I don't know what kind of steroids are injected into these potatoes, but I am not kidding when I say it was 12" long and 4.5" wide (that's what she said!) and it came topped with their great chili, jack cheese, and jalapenos. Tasty, and a meal in itself. The Italian sub and potato salad were both good and straightforward. Fresh food, pretty much what you'd expect ingredients wise. We ended up settling for a late lunch and, although we tried to avoid chains, we opted to get something light at McAlister's. I got the half-club sandwich and half-chicken Caesar salad. The food was exactly what I expected. The Caesar Salad was particularly interesting... It had a slight fishy smell to it (which with Caesar dressing is technically how it should be... Although it may have still needed some more lemon to tone it down). The only thing that was somewhat concerning was that there was no one bussing tables. I assume that someone called in, as it was a busy holiday weekend. It was just a little annoying having to clean off my own table just so my group of six could have a place to eat our food.
