Pumpkin cream cheese pancakes with a caramel drizzle ..... so yummy
    Annette H.

We went here in November and they had the best pumpkin cream cheese pancakes I have ever had. The regular pancakes were great too (hubby said so) Great coffee and service. Our waitress always made sure we had our coffee full and kept making sure we had everything we needed. Nice clean restaurant. Love the feel of being in the smokies

Just MEH. Service was fairly fast and relatively attentive, though I did have to ask for a coffee refill. It's a pretty typical pancake house for the area. Gift shop up front that you have to go through on the way in and out. Food was MEH. The one item that stood out is the pumpkin cheesecake pancakes. They were well done, with enough but not too much pumpkin spice. Other than these, you'd be better off going elsewhere.

    Stuffed French toast.

We came here during our Thanksgiving vacation. I was a little skeptical at first but it was well worth it. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. We had a large party but we were seated next to each other. Our waitress was one of the best! She had great recommendations and her bubbly attitude made our experience even more appealing. Our food came out correct, hot and the appearance was amazing. We were all satisfied and full when we left. We will definitely be back !!!!!!

The food was good. The pecan pancakes had plenty of pecans. However, the service was outstanding.

MISTY is a true rockstar!! We waited twenty mins tops to be seated. The restaurant was right next to our hotel but I see there's a huge parking lot with free outdoor parking!! Misty was truly incredible. The food we ordered came our fast and was delicious!!! No complaints highly recommend!!!

A bit disappointed in my experience here. The lemon in my water was so sour it ruined my water. I got the stuffed waffles which comes with a cheesecake custard, and I asked for mixed berries and banana. The berries/sauce were sour. The pancakes were fluffy but had no flavor and the maple syrup tasted like great value brand. Not good. The hash browns were crispy, but again, not much flavor. Service was okay. Wouldn't recommend coming here.

Place gets pretty packed pretty quickly. Was a bit outdated. They text you once your table is ready and only took about 30min. Once seated our server greeted us rather quickly. She was super nice and very attentive. We ordered French toast eggs and fruit and that came out pretty quickly. Overall it was okay nothing that blew me away but again the service was good! If I visit pigeon forge again I probably will try a different place.

Food was good to ok. Service was poor and it was not busy. Waiter didn't check on us. He forgot to give us syrup and refill the coffee.

And then I looked again, hoping that maybe something low-calorie or nutrient-dense was hiding and I just needed to look harder. Nope. But if you're looking for a sandwich that consists of chicken tenders between two glazed donuts, then this is your place. Sawyer's has other things that are not so county-fair forward. They are known for breakfast: French toast, pancakes, omelettes. If you get pancakes or waffles or the like, you should definitely ask for their house-made peanut butter syrup. It's amazing and so unlike anything that I've ever tasted. I got an omelette, which was good and had a lot of stuff in it. They will give you hot sauce upon request, which I was grateful for because I thought the omelette needed it. One thing that's really cool about Sawyer's is that they seem to take food allergies very seriously. That's always nice to see! As you're entering or exiting, make sure to admire the decor. It looks like you're in a barn, and as you exit, there's a gift shop with stuffed animals, t-shirts and other things to commemorate your visit to Sawyer's. This is a fun little place that's great for families, for sure.

I went with the Black Bear Sampler, and this thing came out in a cast-iron skillet looking like breakfast had decided to show off. Eggs, ham, bacon, sausage gravy, grits, potatoes, biscuit--the whole works. And somehow, instead of being a giant pile of average food, everything was fantastic. That's what impressed me most. Plenty of places can make one great breakfast item. When you order a sampler this big, usually something gets left behind. Not here. Every part of it earned its spot in that skillet. The portions are huge, the food is excellent, and this is exactly what I picture when I think of a real Smoky Mountain breakfast: hearty, simple, and done right. I've eaten breakfast in a lot of places over a lot of years. This one is now the measuring stick. Absolutely fantastic. I can't wait to come back.

I ordered the traditional schnitzel (pork cutlet that was pounded thin). It was not breaded, but it was coated with egg and flour and prepared well. I had the German potato salad and red cabbage side orders. Both were served warm as is custom. I was a bit upset that the waiter gave me the bill when the meal was finished. I told him it was my birthday and that I had wanted coffee and cake. He took the bill and crumpled it in his hand. The portion of cake that he presented could have easily served three! I left the top frosting. The chocolate cake was moist and the frosting between the layers was German chocolate. Available seating offerings were a booth, table, or a table al fresco. It had the beer garden appeal. I opted to sit inside. The restaurant is also very family oriented (as are most things in Pigeon Forge). Prices were reasonable, food was served at the correct temperature, portions were prodigious. The venue was also immaculate. I would recommend this tavern to anyone who appreciates German fare.
