Food was amazing! I ordered a half king club with a half side of chicken caesar salad, and everything was marvelous. I enjoyed my sandwich and salad. My mom and I visited for dinner on a Wednesday evening. Not many people there at all. Employees were friendly. I ordered the choose two with the Savannah Salad and the veggie spud. My turkey BLT order: the pickle was smashed about as flat as possible with one end broken off, the tomato was sliced so thin it slipped out of the sandwich, the turkey was all pilled in the middle of the bread with nothing on either end of the sandwich. The veggie spud is piled high with cheese, spinach, brocolli, onion and roasted peppers. Great combo. My favorite part is the skin. Veggie sandwich is also delicious. Spinach, tomato, cucumber, red onion, roasted peppers, avocado, mayo, on 9-grain bread. A generous portion of fresh crisp veggies. Bread is OK, nothing special. The club is everything you want a club to be. The half sandwich is plenty for lunch with a cup of soup. Location matters when considering quality of service. My experience at the McAllister Deli on Capital left a lot to be desired. After the mix-up of being given the regular chili vs the vegetarian chili that I ordered, the management failed to even apologize when I brought it to their attention. The response was "they're have to wait" when asked to speak to one of them. Here's the thing, I get it, many establishments are understaffed and overwhelmed, but that should never be a reason for failing to display courteous genuine customer service. Very disappointing experience. Ordered the "take 2" priced at $10.99 or so and was charged nearly $16 before tax, because the soup and potato filings were deemed "premium". The crab soup was tasty but a premium of $3.70 on a small cup of soup is ridiculous. As for the "premium" chicken chipotle filing this was very disappointing. Wow- i shouldn't have even gone in. If you can't keep the store front clean, you certainly aren't up to code indoors. Got in and was brave enough to order take out, but I sat at a table to wait for it. The kitchen is open, so the maskless kitchen staff smiles right at you. The woman manning the counter told 2 separate couples to leave their plates on their tables implying that staff clears the tables. Well- they definitely don't. The woman food running does not bus, but she must subconsciously take intel. The tables are full of trash and left overs. I waited for about 25 mins for a pretty large order and got to see customers come and go because of the trash load visibly on tables, and like.. it was on every table but the one I was sitting at. Love the sense of humor of the guy taking our order and hey - he liked my shirt!
