This is my least favorite McAlister's location in Oklahoma. It's new and everything but the food just doesn't taste quite as good as say, the Edmond location (it's never been bad, however). Also got some odd replies from the employees when I tried to order some sandwich trays for a party. They didn't seem to know what to do or how to take the order in advance, and they told me to call back and order it on the day I would need it. I called another location and they took care of me easily. Edit: I have amended the review score a bit after being contacted and having several conversations with Amy, the owner of the store. I have never seen a place go so far to remedy a complaint, and it's convinced me that they really are trying to do the absolute best they can, and that I should certainly give them another chance. read more

Everything we ordered was delicious, very quality food. We were staying at air bnb, passing through, and they deliver!!!!!!!! Their salads were fresh & spinach,m & quality mixed greens, lots of meat on reuben, New Yorker & french dip......customizable down to toppings and bread. My family and I ate at this location tonight the store was not busy (5:00 Sunday evening) after we ordered and paid the manager comes and asks us if we are ok with no bacon on our sandwiches. Then the person making our teas tells us they are out of peach syrup to make our 5 teas we paid for! Then proceeds to say "yeah it's Sunday we always run out of things on Sunday!" So frustrating! No refund was offered for our extra charge for the peach teas or for the bacon! Super frustrated! read more

We stayed at a hotel across the way and came in about 30 minutes before closing time. I assume it was the manager who took our order. Very sweet young girl. All the young adults working there were busy doing something. Food was great and ready quick. read more

UPDATE: The company gave this this attention it deserved and for that, I am thankful. I will try McAlister's again for my staff and I later this month. Guest recovery in the instance of a mistake is the biggest stepping stone to keeping customers coming back and they have done just that read more

This was my first time to eat at any mcalister's. I had the New Yorker sandwich with a side of potato salad. Both were very delicious. My son had the choose two with the grilled chicken Ceasar salad and the ham and cheese toastie. He has eaten here before and this is his favorite dish here. We both enjoyed our meal. Next time I will probably do the choose two with a salad and half sandwich. Our order was taken quickly and the service was prompt. The atmosphere is casual with better than average food being served. This is a great new addition for Yukon! read more

To start we have eaten at this location in the past and it was ok! I don't know what has happened with the management here but it is seriously lacking. The first thing that happened when I went to order the steak sandwich which was on the digital marquee they were out of steak. Which is not big deal so then I ordered the French dip. My wife ordered a turkey sandwich only Mayo. They brought out my French dip minus the dip. I asked if they would bring me a side of ajus/dip being I ordered that specific thing. They then returned and told me they were out of ajus. Something I would have liked to know when ordering. Then they brought my wife's turkey only Mayo with everything. So again we sent it back and explained it was supposed to be only Mayo. Then they brought it out for a second time and all the veggies were removed but had a ton of mustard on he sandwich. The whole time the manager was watching and listening to the interaction. The last time we took it back up they finally were able to get it right. The management never said anything to us. Instead the staff were coming up and checking on us because they over heard us talking. One of the kids offered my wife a cookie for the mess up which was nice. Knowing that the manager was aware of the situation and never intervened and the amount of things they were out of shows poor management skills but that's my opinion for what it is worth. read more

I had quite a few bad experiences from here before and wrote a bad review. It was mostly from on employee that seemed to always hate his job and not be very kind. After my bad review of this McAlisters I had a woman reach out that worked, I'm assuming at corporate, to apologize and say she would talk to make things better there. I was skeptical of anything changing but I finally went back a few months ago and every visit from there on has been great the employee that had the attitude is now a lot better and haven't had any issues since my complaint. I decided to redo my review and remove the other one because the experience from then on has been great and I'm not for bashing a company when they have changed. read more

Soup was lukewarm, and the employee that brought our plates out spilled the soup all over my plate and sandwich. Picture attached was how the soup looked when I received it. She had poor customer service skills. The sandwich was very small and drenched with honey mustard. One of the other people I was with ordered without honey mustard and he sent the sand which back and didn't get a new sandwich for 20 minutes. How long does it take to make a sandwich? Also, there was not one sorry. Teach your staff how to smile, apologize and to have urgency. I will never come back to this location. read more

much better than panera bread in my opinion! they offer a pick 2 for one price and you can literally order anything in the menu and get half the portion each! it's a great deal. their teas and lemonades are delicious. you order at the front and they bring you your food and ask you if you need anything else. there's plenty of seating and it's a great lunch spot for people looking for something quick but good and fresh! best thing is their baked potatoes and sandwiches! read more

My girl and I went here craving baked potatoes tonight. The food was great (usually is) and the signature sweet tea was awesome as always. This was our first time for either of us at the Yukon location. We were a bit put off at the end, though. We got there at around 8. Since they close at 10, we didn't think this would be any big deal. Around 9:15, one of the male employees came around and offered to gather up our plates and was very abrupt when we gave him the go ahead. For the next 15 minutes or so until we left, he made this big production of going about his closing duties, as if we were slowing him down and like he was going to get to go home as soon as we left or something. Feeling as though I were being hurried out the door is the ONLY reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars. Personally, I hope someone came in at 5 minutes before closing who was a major pain in his ass. read more

TL;DR: My wife loves it, I thought it was average food with BS designed to trick you into thinking you're getting something better than you are. The tea is good, but I don't get why people worship the tea as it's just ordinary tea. Salad's seem pretty good, but everything feels overpriced to me. $0.99 kids meals. Avoid going here during "peak" hours, the place has a line out the door. I can't figure out why people love this place so much. My wife really likes this place, yet she mostly just talks about the sweet tea. Is the tea good? Sure. Is it "OMG LETS GO TO THIS PLACE FOR THE TEA" good? Hardly. It' good tea, but it takes like sweet tea. There's nothing unique about it that I am able to detect. I've only been to a McAlister's a couple of times, but every time I notice the same thing: the sandwiches are okay. Why okay? Well for one you're paying $7-8 for a sandwich. For that price I expect a beastly sandwich with a flavor that rocks me to the core and has me begging for more. What do you get? An ordinary sandwich with an extra slice of bread, too much dressing, and horribly uneven spread of ingredients. The trickery: Take a normal square sandwich. Add a normal amount of cheese, meat, lettuce and tomato. Toss the meat/cheese haphazardly on a slice of bread so it all hangs randomly off the edge of the sandwich. This will make it appear SUPER OVERLOADED (hint: it's not, but your ham is only in 3/4 of your sandwich). Next: top it with a slice of bread like a Big Mac. This adds the illusion of a FAT sandwich, but its' not because it's just another slice of uninspiring bread that fluffs the whole thing up. Then: toss some tomatoes in the middle with a center-centric pile. This will make the middle fatter, making it look like a monster sandwich, but its' really just going to be seriously lacking in the tomatoes near the crust WHERE THE MOISTURE IS NEEDED THE MOST. Then add the lettuce to balance the appearance out, and squirt what tastes like a fistful of dressing. This dressing is flavorful, powerful, and tricks you into thinking "WOW THIS SANDWICH PACKS A PUNCH!" Sadly the sauce would be better if it were spread EVENLY across the bread, and I ended up squeezing a lot of it out (it was completely overpowering the rest of the sandwich) and dipping the dry crust in it to get some moisture. Lastly: toss the 3rd slice of bread on top, and cut the sandwich diagonally in quarters and decorate the place with the FOUR WHOLE PIECES OF SANDWICH. Really, its' just a standard sandwich you could make at home. By cutting it like this you end up with the optical illusion that your sandwich takes up a giant plate, but if you take the time to reconstruct the sandwich you'll notice it's ordinary in size, fluffed up by a 3rd slice of bread, and fattened in the middle (because that's the part they point at your face) to trick you. If they cut the trickery, it would be a lot better (in my opinion) because you could enjoy a decent sandwich with consistent fillings. One of my 4 pieces had almost no swiss, another had almost no cheddar. Each one required reconstruction to get the tomato to actually EXIST within 1/2" of the crust. The sauce was all in the middle like they just squirted a puddle and assumed it would all ooze its' way to the crust. (Again, crust is always the driest part of any sandwich, where the sauce can do the most good.) I got the mac'n'cheese as my side, which tasted about as "good" as KFC side mac'n'cheese. (I tried it to specifically compare it to the competition: Panera Bread... McAlister's mac'n'cheese is a vile disgrace to the name in comparison, but I digress.) My daughter ate about half of her Mac'n'cheese before seeming to want nothing to do with it. The side of fruit was not great. The melon was hard, the cantaloupe was okay, and while I didn't try any; something wasn't right with the grapes. My daughter will shank a stranger for grapes, yet she resisted eating them and tried hiding half eaten grapes after we told her to eat 2 more grapes. I'd say she wasn't hungry but we were trying to coax her into eating her fruit BEFORE she could have a snack of teddy grams. Now you might be thinking: whoa dude, this doesn't sound like a "3-star" review. Well it wouldn't be if it weren't for my wife. She ordered a pecan-berry salad thing with some toasted sandwich thing. While the sandwich looked ordinary (without all the tricks, which is a bonus) the salad was pretty awesome. She loved it, and the overpowering dressing was on the side allowing her to add at will or dip if she wanted. Her delight at her food popped it up from a 2 star to a 3 star review. read more

Best place ever! I say this because we can't thank enough the McAlister's crew for always giving the consistency of the best customer service. Tonight, while we were waiting for our food, I can't keep calm! I told my husband how great this place was! My husband agreed 200% of what I was saying and how much he and I appreciates them. Megan at the counter, omg she is so awesome! She's the sweetest lady, very polite (all of them actually) I was really pleased of how she was towards us, though we are unsure of what to order at first, but her being so patient and so understanding was really a plus. This place is a joke! I have tried a few different locations in Oklahoma and always ask the same question... "Where is the meat". If you like bread and condiments, you might like this place. The funny thing is, I have tried a McAllister's in Colorado springs and it was nothing like this, it was loaded with everything required to make it a sandwich. We had lunch here on a Sunday at right-after-church-time...our mistake. But we were in the area and didn't want an elaborate lunch. The place was packed, but the line moved fast. I was disappointed that there were no menus to read while waiting in line. I don't know if they were out, or just don't provide them. Neither myself nor my boyfriend could read the menu until we were actually up to order, which caused us to make quick decisions, to avoid slowing down the line and impatient cashier. We luckily found a table and waited close to 15 minutes for our sandwiches. I enjoyed my sandwich, the turkey Cobb, which came with a crapton (actual level of measurement) of chips and a crisp pickle. My boyfriend had the California turkey Reuben, which was drowning in sauce. He ate the whole thing, though. This place does not have a bussing station for patrons to clean up their own tables, so when they are super busy and the staff is not as available, the dining room gets messy and people just stood around waiting for a table to be cleared. I think we'd have a better experience if we came during a time that wasn't their busiest in the week and had time to review all the menu offerings. read more

McAlister's has been a favorite of mine for the last several years. I've been to them in multiple states and cities. The food is always great quality and consistent between locations. Yesterday I went to the Yukon location. It's a new spot and just beautiful. I took my grandparents with me. We wanted a clean easy quiet place to eat a light dinner. Walking into this location I was immediately happy due to the calming classic music that was playing. It wasn't annoying, loud or too upbeat. It was something my grandparents and I enjoyed. I appreciated that there were paper menus for my grandparents to read because the tv menu boards are hard for them. We all made are selections and approached our turn in line. Keep in mind my grandparents are in their upper 80s. They are very capable people. But honestly they have a hard time seeing and hearing and comprehending things quickly. Obviously because they look their age. The staff member that took our order didn't seem to take any of this into consideration. The employee spoke quietly and quickly. They asked what side my grandma wanted with her meal. It was hard to hear the question and my grandma got very confused. As the staff member pointed at the sign on the back of the register with all the sides listed on it. Then the staff proceeded to look away as my grandma struggled through reading it. Clearly she was having trouble and clearly this staff was not going to help. After a couple more miscommunications my grandma was finished with her order. I could have stepped in and handled this situation but I felt the need to know how my grandparents were generally treated. Unfortunately discrimination takes many forms other than color. I believe my grandparents were viewed as not valuable customers and this staff member made that rather clear. As we finished our order my grandpa paid the staff member with a $50 bill. The bill was $19.70. The staff gave him 30¢ back as change. Thankfully my 89 year old grandpa doesn't let things get passed him and he stood there and explained to the employee that he needed more change because he paid with a $50. She corrected the mistake. It wasn't that big of a deal. We continued with our meal and enjoyed our time there. Again the food was delicious and atmosphere was great. I wanted to talk with the management but they were too busy for me to grab a few minutes with them. I was not mad at the staff member that did this but very disappointed that this could be happening to my grandparents more often. I didn't like that the employee embarrassed my grandma and didn't try to help my grandparents. Clearly the staff member was ignorant in understanding how to help older customers or even how to try to sell the product. Because if it hadn't been that I knew the food was so good I wouldn't have stayed through that. I would have taken my grandparents and left. I would suggest taking the sides sign down. I feel that it's rude if a customer asks a question and the staff points to a sign. If anything the staff should be required to verbally list off the sides as the customer reads the sign. read more

I have always liked McAlister's and have enjoyed their food...until today. I was there at lunch and ordered 1/2 Horseradish Roast Beef and Cheddar, no cheddar, and a cup of Broccoli Cheese Soup. The soup was almost warm and the sandwich aspired to be 1/2 but didn't succeed. There were supposed to be caramelized onions and horseradish sauce on the sandwich: there were three small pieces of onion and a small dollop of sauce on the two thin slices of dried out roast beef. I longed for the cheese I had refused. The pickle spear was the most satisfying thing on the plate, which looked more like a child's plate. For this, I paid over $7.00. Oh, and the cashier was rude. I hope today was a fluke because I don't want to give this place up. UPDATE I did, as promised, receive a certificate for a free meal and I did redeem it for another Horseradish Roast Beef and Cheddar and it was up to standards. The food here is always good, as to be expected. We always try to hit it not during peak hours to avoid long waits but it never fails most of the tables are always dirty. Last time we went there was obviously upper management on site so things were much better regarding service and cleanliness. Went today for lunch. The girl at the register seemed annoyed and didn't speak up when she was available. Then the same tables that were dirty when we arrived were still dirty when we left. read more
