I know a few things about wine, but Bob, the co-founder who led our tasting, revealed interesting new tidbits about pairings, how rosés are made, and what makes Vinos Unidos wines stand out within the industry and above others... Left such the impression that my husband and I signed up to their wine club, and carried home three bottles that day. We're eagerly awaiting our quarterly shipment, but this evening we couldn't resist opening their 2019 award winner (pictured here), and are thoroughly enjoying it paired with some ripe strawberries topped with that decadent Bonjour chocolate kefir found at local SoCal farmers' markets. Feel like I found my own little gem in Vinos Unidos, which IMHO, will soon experience exponential growth! It was still fun, but improvements are needed to make this the great event it has the potential to be. There are so many things right about this event. It's in a unique and fun location (Tustin Hangar where they used to house blimps). There are dozens and dozens of vendors and room for even more. On paper, it sounds pretty perfect. In reality, the event space was incredibly dark and a significant portion of the lights were out for part of the night (music disappeared too, so probably a power issue). Mood lighting is great, but you shouldn't have to get your face right up to the bottles of wine or plates of food to figure out what is being offered. Some areas had better lighting than others, but they really need to get lighting everywhere. Tea light candles don't cut it. The other major issue was that so many vendors packed up and left before the first or second hour. So if you passed something earlier thinking you'd go back and try it later, too bad! Props to Fresh Brothers and Piadina for having food up until the end of the event. With an event this large, it's just not possible to do it all within an hour (at least not if you want to enjoy it), so it's terrible that some restaurants were gone before an hour had passed. If you are thinking of purchasing a ticket, let this serve as a warning so you will be prepared and not disappointed as I was. It's still a good event, but it has so much more potential.

It is my understanding that they used to house blimps inside of this building. Such a unique and interesting venue! I was very surprised with how organized this food festival actually was. I've been to a few food walks/festivals and they've always been so cluttered. They did an amazing job with organization. As soon as you enter they had several workers handing out wine glasses with the cutest Tustin Food and Wine logo on it. This would be your glass for most, if not all, of the tastings. Each vendor provided water for you to rinse out your glass with before a new taste. Most of the food was to the right side of the room and the alcohol to the left side of the room. Although it is titled a food and wine festival, they had such a wide variety of food and alcohol. They were serving everything from wine and beer to sake bombs and shots of bourbon. As for food vendors they had plenty of options. They were serving poke, clam chowder, indian food, and so much more. Expect to be full 15 minutes in. The only critique I truly have for this event is the lighting. I think they were going for a darker ambiance but it was very difficult to read the vendors signs or even see what they were serving. It was so hard to take any photos or videos. All in all, it was a great event. I could definitely see myself coming back next year. If you get a chance to go, come with an empty stomach and comfortable shoes.

We visited three amazing wineries, each with its own vibe, great wine, and super friendly staff. The day felt really well-organized but still relaxed, which made it easy to just enjoy ourselves. Lunch at Miramonte was a huge highlight--so good and exactly what we needed to keep us going. Plus, the bus was clean, comfortable, and spacious, and our driver was awesome--professional, easygoing, and made sure we were always on time without ever feeling rushed. The whole experience was seamless from start to finish. If you're looking to plan a fun, stress-free wine tour, I can't recommend Uncorked & Toasted enough. We all had such a great time and will definitely be booking with them again!

We were set-up in table teams and given 4 wines to create our blends. First, we tasted the wines "blind" not knowing what they were. Lamar had us all shout out what flavors we were tasting and had each table guess the varietal. Then he educated us on the wines. After tasting all 4 wines, we were given free reign to create our own blend. We had short beakers, tall beakers and an eye dropper. After each table created their blend, Lamar set up a judging table and we picked a winner. Then we got to bottle our blend in a half bottle with a cork and colored wax. It was super fun!

Booked them for a Temecula Winery Tour and worked with Joseph planning how I wanted the day to look…read morelike. They have 3 wineries included in the tour which includes tastings at all of them. Our 1st stop was at Danza del Sol because they're the earliest that opens in the valley at 10:30am. Known for their whites, the Estate Sauvignon Blanc was my favorite there. They gave us a production tour before heading off to the next winery. Oak Mountain was everyone's least favorite. Sure, the cave tour was interesting, their charcuterie board was pleasant to the eyes and palate, though sadly, their wines were horrible. Lunch is not included in the package so I was able to choose where to go - Bolero at Europa Village. Reservations were made in advance, thanks, Joseph and he dropped us off there giving us about 1.5 hours before picking us up to continue with our tour next door. Our last stop for the day turned out to be my number one out of all the 3 wineries. Callaway has beautiful grounds, they have a more high end vibe, and the wines were better in quality relatively speaking. I enjoyed their 2019 Winemaker's Reserve Chardonnay, 2018 Wild Yeast Viognier, 2018 Wild Yeast Petite Sirah, and 2018 Wild Yeast Cab Sauv. I only wish we stayed outdoors to soak in the weather and scenery but the tasting was indoors so we hung out at the bar inside. We spent about an hour at each winery and by 3:30pm, we were ready to head back to OC. Joseph was a great guide all in all. While driving, he would tell us bits of interesting information about the wineries, stables, etc. we'd see along the way - very knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. Everyone had a grand time!

I'm not sure it's exactly like riding a bike--but Karen made me feel completely at ease from the start. Kiwi, my horse, was incredibly patient and gentle with me. I swear she knew I needed a little extra TLC! It made the whole experience so enjoyable and stress-free. I even got to do a tiny bit of trotting, which was such a fun bonus. Overall, it was such a great experience, and I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking to try horseback riding or get back into it!

Susie is always very kind and welcoming, and patient with our daughter. She even let us visit the chicken coop, let my daughter pick a few eggs and feed the chickens just for fun. The animals on the farm are all so sweet and calm too. We're very thankful for this business, great memories made here!
