We absolutely loved our stay at McCloud RV Park! They offer both cabins and RV sites, but we stayed in one of the A-frames and loved it. The accommodations are charming and cozy, with comfortable bedding that made for a great night's sleep. The hosts were incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. The setting is beautiful, alongside a peaceful freshwater creek, with crisp, clean spring water pouring naturally out of the ground just steps from your site. The park is also dog-friendly, with wide-open grassy lawns for them to enjoy. The location couldn't be better for exploring the area. All three of the stunning McCloud River waterfalls are only about a 10-minute drive away, and Mossbrae Falls is just 19 minutes away. Between the comfortable accommodations, wonderful hosts, fresh mountain water, creekside setting, and easy access to some of the area's most beautiful waterfalls, this is the perfect place to stay if you're looking to explore McCloud and the surrounding area. DO NOT STAY AT MCCLOUD RV PARK! I called the desk and informed them I would be arriving with a 65 foot diesel pusher motorhome and trailer. They tell me I would have no problem getting into the spot. When I arrived it took 50 minutes and 3 men to get Coach and trailer into the spot. The next morning when I went to the office to talk to the owner. I politely explained the situation and they proceeded to insult my driving skills of my coach and said and I quote "you could learn how to drive your RV." This place is great and convenient. With beautiful grounds. This year they opened earlier (in the winter) and were super accommodating and helpful. Susan and her husband were very friendly and helpful. They have a stream on the property they're dog friendly they have all the conveniences on site and have a bar (horse ranch) adjacent to the property and a market and gas station right out the park. And. Very close to mt Shasta ski park. read more

NOT GOOD IF YOU ARE RELYING ON THEIR POWER. When we arrived they handed us a flyer that says "Energy conservation is required - The voltage at each site will drop depending on the occupancy of the park, we all draw from the same transformers. If you need perfect voltage then this is not the RV park for you." Wait, what?! No where on their website did they advertise this when we booked the park and I couldn't find anything about it when I re-read their website site. The only reason we booked this expensive RV park for our Fourth of July vacation instead of finding a beautiful, free or lower cost camping spot in the area (of which there are many!) was because the July 4th weekend was extremely hot and we needed power to run our AC. Well on July 4, the park was at high capacity and the power kept browning out in 95 degree weather. If I had known this ahead of time I would not have booked this park!!! Otherwise it was a nice RV park. The staff was nice and we liked our spot number 116. We felt like we had the best spot in the park, but our RV is 30amp, and the 50amp spots looked crowded and piled on top of one another. My favorite part about this park was that there is a very small local brewery next door! read more

I am disappointed with this RV park. To start, we called and made reservations and that was good. Upon arrival you stop at their check in office, the lady started out peaceful, but when I started asking questions, she became a little tart in her responses and her tone was not happy. Backing in to my space was tricky because the spots are tight and small. When I made reservations I told them I had 2 slides outside. I was unable to keep the right side tires on the narrow slab because the left slider would hit the power post. Also the space was short. We told them we had a 33 ft trailer, it barely fit. My rear stabilizers had to land on a wood log. The premium back in only has 30 Amp connections. The cable for the TV did not work. This place gets a lot of families, but there is nothing for kids to play on and no activities for them. Many kids were riding their electric bicycles around the park at high rates of speed. This needs to STOP! It is so unsafe, there are a lot of RV's and other cars driving around. The wifi is not good. It barely works, they blame it on the trees. Yeah, right! Outside , but right in front of the office is a big pickup with a camper on it. It sits there all day long with someone sitting in it on a computer. This is very unattractive, and it's in the way for people exiting the park. During my stay I had called the office times, each time the message said to leave a message and they will get back to you in 24 hrs. They NEVER returned either of my calls, they were standing outside the office and in that truck camper. The grounds crew work well, they kept the grounds clean. I forgot to mention that they water A LOT!!! Your stuff will get wet. This place is right up against the world's noisiest highway!! My God, the traffic is loud 24/7. I don't think we'll be coming back. read more

The view is just stunning to see Mt. Shasta every morning! We recently had the pleasure of staying at Mc Cloud RV Resort and it was an absolute delight! The panoramic views of the surrounding mountains from the RV sites took our breath away!! Facilities: They have spotlessly clean restrooms and Hot showers! They also have a laundry room available and an area to wash dishes just make sure to clean up after your self. The staff were incredibly friendly and always went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and if we are having a great time. Waterfalls just 30 minutes away from the Rv Park. We were there for 3 days and on Monday on our way out instead of greeting us with "hope you enjoyed your stay", no hello was given and what the owner said, "if you ever want to be welcomed here again, you need to be quiet after 10pm!".. we had no music, it was just talking at our campsite, no yelling was involved, kids were not running around.. BUT we were not in bed by 10pm and that was a huge problem. This "resort" is more for small families that camp for a living, not for special occasions like ours which was a family reunion of 30 people that live in different states and decided to meet in the middle. But this place did not feel very welcoming which was unfortunate. read more

I can't say enough about our stay at McCloud RV Resort. The owners, Warren and Tammy are just fantastic and are amazingly welcoming to all guest. They continue to enhance the resort and their hands on approach is evident in how nice everything is around the resort. We stayed there prior to their ownership and it was nice, but it clear the changes they added. All the staff is very friendly and they work hard to make your stay outstanding. Our son in law was climbing Mt.Shasta and our daughter was coming up to stay in the cabins while we waited his decent. We had a spot on the other side of the park and we asked Warren and Tammy if there was as a spot closer. We were able to move after one night to a spot right across from our daughter's cabin and have a wonderful group dinner when he and his guide arrived. If you are going to Siskiyou County and you are looking for a great place to stay, stay here, it is a gem. I have stayed all the resorts in South County and this is by far the best! read more

Check in was super easy. Friendly upon check in. But these spaces are TIGHT. It was a busy weekend and yes, it is summer so not surprising. But, the spaces are so close with the awnings out that you are maybe a foot from your neighbors. And with it being so crowded vehicles were everywhere which didn't help backing in a trailer. We pulled forward to back into our spot. We were trying to park and were told to back in the trailer a different way as we would ruin the grass by pulling forward. After finally getting squeezed in the next morning we woke up and the spot across from us (that we pulled in to park our RV) was taken with an RV on the grass with a car. Wouldn't that ruin the grass as well? read more

We stayed one night on our way to Ashland. The host was incredibly kind and gracious over the phone. Our check in was quick and painless. The kids enjoyed riding bikes on the loop, playing in the creek (we were in RV spot 13) and getting pizza right next door for dinner. We drove up the next day to the falls. It's a short drive. You can walk down to the lower falls/river at one stop and see the middle and/or upper at a stop up the road. They are beautiful! Be careful at the upper falls lookout, we all got stung by wasps. read more

Nice place for RV and tent camping My biggest complaint is the cabins. The cabins have not been updated in a long time. I would suggest the person responsible for maintenance and cleanliness should step back and do a room by room inspection and I think they would see a lot of deferred maintenance and upgrades that could happen. The bar b q's next to the cabins are so old they're not really usable. And for some reason they think it's better to leave a cabin vacant for one day, because their policy is only two days or more rental. That said, the overall facility is nice, The area where all of the RV park is well kept and it's a nice facility to visit. Wi fi..... No. not sure why not. read more

Owners were very rude. We were here for a reunion of 20+ people some we haven't seen in years and all live in different states. There is a 10 pm quiet time, which we admit to screwing up and didn't follow 2 nights with the latest of us being up was 12. Mind you half the group was older people, so couldn't have been that loud. The owners were very rude and gave us a letter (not 1 but MANY copies) saying we were even loud and rude BEFORE the 10 pm quiet time? When we were sitting around the fire... before quiet time... anyways... It felt like they were looking at their clocks waiting for 10 each night to come be rude. Here's a tip: don't move to the very middle of the campground if you don't wanna hear a reunion which you knew was going to come for the week. Sad because it's a great campground! Be warned too they record you without you even knowing and post all about it! In one of the videos even joking call someone saying they called the cops on em as a scare tactic. Childish way to own a business!!! read more

Just returning from a delightful visit to McCloud and McCloud RV Resort. The owners could not have been nicer and more accommodating. The resort shows a pride of ownership and is definitely an RV Resort to visit. The town presents several quality restaurant's of various cuisines. Close proximity to upper and lower McCloud river falls. We are looking forward to our next visit to this little GEM in the mountains. read more

So this is a beautiful little RV park but the owners clearly are into the $$$ money aspect and not customer service ! Our group recently stayed there, renting 2 cabins and several spaces. One cabin had black mold, spider webs, dead bugs everywhere, a leak somewhere that caused carpet to be wet and a loose handrail that caused a fall. One of the spaces didn't get their electricity turned on when they arrived and had no power, heat or water their first night. We were also charged for a space that wasn't used. One of our group members made many phone calls trying to cancel! After the cabin debacle they offered to give them a discount but no discount for the ones that didn't have power their first night. And they did charge for unused space that wasn't canceled . It's too bad the people in charge have no customer service skills. Our group will not be returning!! read more

The owners and staff of this campground are awesome they are so accommodating. Late in the evening they came over to help us get the power situated in our friends RV. They did not have a 50 x 30 amp adapter. They went back to there tool shed and was able to find an adapter so our friends could turn on their air conditioner in the middle of a McCloud heatwave! read more

It has been one week since we wrote the review, on August 22, and to this day we have not been contacted by owner or manager. We now see why the park is the way it is. Businesses never fail people do............... We as the customer are sad to see the customers treated this way. Treating the customer a little more profession, will go a long way and bring customers back. read more

We've stayed here several times, and always have a good experience. This trip is no exception. Pretty crowded (as in lots of folks staying here this time) but there's lots to do in the area, so we're gone most of the time. There's considerable road noise because the park is adjacent to Hwy 89, a MAJOR truck route between Reno and Medford, OR. But we quickly get used to it and don't hear it after a day or so. Overall, the park is neat and clean, the grounds are kept up nicely. We return every few years because, well, we like it here. read more

One of my top ten most beautiful campgrounds. We camped Mother's Day weekend, hardly any other campers there . They keep the grass pretty green, no mats on grass. Clean facilities. Close to town , store, gas. Base of majestic Mt Shasta. Short drive to hiking, waterfalls, golf. We'll be back. read more

It was a little noisy Friday and Saturday (family parties) but quiet near us. Very peaceful over night. We will be back. Stayed here numerous times in the past with a camping group that has between 12 and 26 rigs show up. This last season, Sept. 2021, went here with three other couples. We had reservations months in advance and when we arrived they had separated us from our friends and gave us a spot in the back in the dirt next to the cabins. When I requested a move because I didn't want to drag all the powdery dirt into our MH it wasn't easy pleading my case but they did finally move us. One of our friends parked their trailer in their assigned spot but instead of going into the pull through with the connections on the left they pulled in the opposite direction so when their friends backed their trailer in the doors were on the same side. They got flack for pulling in the opposite direction and running their electric cord under the trailer and our other friend got in trouble for the way he parked his truck in front of his trailer. There was also a notice that the 30 amp service was marginal and that we could only use it for basic electrical needs and you were not to use the electric to heat your water. To say marginal the electric was usually between 113 to 118 volts per my Hughes surge protector. There used to be great WiFi but with the new owners the excuse was the internet company technician couldn't figure how to get the signal boosters to work and they were trying to remedy it. So in Sept the only WiFi was located at the office. A friend called me and wanted to meet up at McCloud RV again. I was busy but we both got on line to book a weeks stay. I just went ahead and clicked the reservation button, put in my dates and my card info never thinking that they hadn't fixed the short comings. I'm bad I should have looked. So later I went back and checked the website amenities and didn't see anything to indicate WiFi or cable for TV. I also noticed that the cost per night had gone up plus the extra charges for pets or an extra person. I called the park to ask if they had fixed the WiFi the recording states they are closed and in Mexico. I emailed to inquire about WiFi and got a reply that no there is no WiFi because it was too unreliable. It worked perfect in prior years even used it to watch TV with our Roku unit. It was also stated that they found a trend for most people to have a WiFi hot spot. Well I must be in the very slim minority as our cell phone carrier doesn't even offer hot spot service. If I could talk my friend into going up the road a little further I'd rather stay at the Blue Heron Resort outside of Yreka. They have RV spots right at the Klamath Rivers edge for the same price and they have free WiFi and Cable too. read more

Went to this place to enjoy our buddies 20th birthday and instead of being able to have fun and hangout with our friends by the campfire we were greeted with absolute disrespect when the owner came over aggressively making us turn off our music and told us we need to stop talking and "go to bed" we came here to enjoy the wilderness with each other and have fun, us being 20 years old+ did not appreciate being told to go to sleep when we can perfectly take care of ourselves, the owner then came by the camp the next day saying that we should leave today when we had already paid for another night, he gave us the option but insisted that we left early despite the 950$ we paid to be here. This is a nice little resort that has a park like feel to it. Most spaces are back in but there is a limited number of pull thru spaces for the larger rigs. Majority of the spaces are grass and the spots are well kept. A little expensive at $45 plus tax, therefore only four stars. read more

There were Pro's and Con's to this place. Pro's: its a beautiful spot with two little streams running through it. They only run the sprinklers in your spot after you've left or when your gone for the day. Not overnight. So you're not constantly having to move your stuff. K idea little pizza place near entrance with good pizza, beer and wine, shade and nice people. Plus dogs are welcome in their little grassy area. Con's: no dog park. Only a designated area for them to do their business. Not fenced in. Sites are very close together. Not within waking distance of river or water. We accidentally left a $100 surge protector there and they said they can't mail it to us, even if we pay the postage. Well we are 5 hours away so aren't going to come and get it. All in all I don't think we would go back. read more

We were fortunate enough to stay at this campground in June of 2020 with the prior owners. Our trip was wonderful; we enjoyed the grounds, met new people and ventured to all the waterfalls in the area. We had such a great time, that we planned a follow up trip and brought 8 families with us for a week's stay. The new owners are nowhere near as welcoming as the prior owners. All of our families felt harassed and violated during our stay. The entire campground is grass, with the exception of about 12 spots that have a small rv pad. Since the website doesn't list site size dimensions, I called and verified specific sites describing the lengths of all the trailers tagging along. Since we have a 45 ft trailer, I am always careful and double check to make sure we will fit as well as the multiple large trailers that were joining us. Those 12 spots are the only spots that you cannot park on the grass, even though all the other spots are grass spots. If you have a large trailer and need to be on the grass for your truck to be parked and not block the road (or have to park on the grass), you will be told to move and then told to leave if you don't move or can't locate a grass free place to park. None of which is detailed in their rules and regulations. This continued for the first couple days of our trip, led to their work staff taking photos of our property and our children. When I inquired to move to another spot... the only option was a grass spot, so we elected to stay in our spot, partially on the grass. Said grass was watered for 4 to 6 hours multiple times during the week, even in the common areas...whether you were sitting in the space or not. Drought? We had two kids gets cuts from metal on worn down picnic tables, had to block off an open electrical panel box, and repair multiple bike tires that were popped from the not grass areas. All in all, I would suggest staying somewhere else in the area. I only gave 1 star, due to its location and proximity to area attractions. read more
