Incredibly rude new management. Will NEVER be returning. We have been coming to this campground for years and have never been treated this horribly. This quiet time rule at 10 pm seems to mean you must be inside your tent and asleep or you will get yelled at. They told us that they were going to call the cops after we had quieted down and seemed looking for an altercation. Very aggressive husband. Do not go to this for peaceful weekend. read more

We loved our stay at this RV park. The customer service was exceptional and they are very diligent about who enters the park, which I appreciate. We had a nice grass lot that faced a small stream that our dogs enjoyed. There was plenty of activity although very serene & quiet @ the same time. We stopped for one night, just passing through. We will be back to stay longer. They care for this park. Quiet, green, clean, friendly.

It is a nice park, clean and well tended. A bit hard to get in and out of for big rigs. Nice atmosphere, friendly people. I have two problems with the park; 1. The wifi was worthless. Although the bars were strong, I could not even load a simple web site or get my email. 2. The cable did not work at all. It said I got seven or so channels, but everyone of them was snow. The people in the adjacent site were having the same problem. Feeling a little ripped off after paying a fairly high rate for the off season, and at least parting agreeing to pay it because they were suppose to have wifi and cable, and then not having either of them. read more

McCloud RV Resort was a delightful place to stay. RV sites are big, surrounded by green grass, and shaded areas created by the beautiful towering trees. The staff is both friendly and knowledgable. They provided us information and photos of the near by breathtaking Upper, Middle, and Lower Falls areas (a definite must see). The campgrounds are also located conveniently near a few stores, a gas station, and a quaint pizza/beer eatery. I do recommend staying at this resort. The amenities within the resort are very clean. They also provide a great wifi connection and of course, an exceptional view of Mt. Shasta. We will be staying here again, hopefully in one of their charming cabins! read more

After staying here for three nights, this will be one of my go-to RV parks around the area. Park is small, but peaceful with nice trees and green grass. Plus, it is so close to many places like Burney Falls and Lake Siskiyou to name a few, not to mention McCloud Falls. Market near by, Chevron right there, too. Nice burger joint near market, too. Best fries and tater tots ever! One reviewer says that is was a parking lot, but what true RV park isn't. Definitely highly recommended. read more

We had an excellent stay at this RV park. Very clean, kind and helpful onsite managers and nice cedar bathrooms with showers ($5/shower). Our campsite was right next to a creek. The RV park is also right across the street from the Ranger station which was great for getting mushroom hunting permits and for finding out the best fishing spots. read more

Stayed in a cabin last weekend. Kind of run down in the bathroom, beds were horrid especially in the loft. Children only, no adults up there, just a foam pad on a board. WiFi didn't connect, others staying there couldn't get it either. read more

I stayed in a tent in the lovely grassy area with towering ponderosas while attending an annual dance festival in McCloud. The owners are very nice and accommodating. There is a creek running near the area, picnic tables, and a spotless and nicely appointed bathroom. It is within walking distance to the town of McCloud. I loved staying here and will do so again! read more

First time here, stayed for 5 nights during Labor Day. Our sites were on the quieter side by the entrance so the road noise was not bad. Clean grounds and level. Our sites were so close together that our friends could not open their awning without hitting our motorhome. Sites are tight to back into, especially challenging when the park is full. 30-amp is standard except for the few pull-thru sites in back next to the highway. Walking distance to the pizza/brewery next door and Frosty's burgers across Highway 89. BEWARE of the price adjustment if you bring your dog. At check-in they will ask if you have a dog. I made my reservation/confirmation on-line back in April and did not add a dog since we were not sure we would be taking her. So I added 1 dog at check-in and received a revised bill which should of only added an extra $15, but they charged my credit card on file for over $30. Owner advised that the reservation system did not account for the holiday base night rate with pet. However, since I had my confirmation showing zero balance due, they immediately corrected my account. Same thing happened to my friend. Even with a few hiccups I would stay here again read more

We love to find lesser-known places of dramatic natural beauty. McCloud is not only beautiful, but a great location for avid fishermen as well. McCloud RV Resort sits at the base of spectacular Mount Shasta, adjacent to Shasta-Trinity National Forest. There is world-class Trout & Steelhead fishing right nearby. The park is immaculate, with rolling green lawns, towering trees, 2 trout ponds and a babbling brook running right through. The park-like setting is very clean and quiet, with large sites and choice of partial or full hook-ups (30 and 50-amp) or grassy tent campsites along the forest. They also have really nice luxury camping cabins for the times when you don't have the RV with you. The park staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and the Wi-Fi worked great. We would definitely stay here again. read more

Big shade trees, comfortable spots, clean restroom - -but, hate the mirror in the shower - - clean laundry facilities. Park is centrally located to lots of golf, fishing and hiking trails. New owners of 2 weeks are going through the ringer fixing frozen pipes but are nice and go over the top trying to stay open when no one else does in this area. Highway at the back isn't that bad at all at night. New owners have lots of plans to make it even better, can't wait!!! read more

Sites are closer together than we prefer (awnings are within inches of the next RV's slide-outs), grounds well kept, facilities clean, staff very nice but the owner is as arrogant as anyone I've ever met. We reserved and paid for a tent site and RV site for 3 nights. On our last day while taking everything down THE OWNER decided to pull up the tent the kids were staying 2 hours before checkout with all their things inside and drag it to the dirt so he could water the lawn. When I confronted him he did not apologize or seem to care in the least only saying he needed to water the lawn - keep in mind this is a $30 per night tent site and again, this was THE OWNER who did this. When we told him we would not be back he said that was fine as they "were always full". A simple apology would have been fine by me. Instead I'm making sure as many people as possible know about our experience. read more

Didn't want something right off I5, so we took a chance and drove the ~9 miles to McCloud. We showed up without reservations on a Sunday afternoon and were able to get a spot in the shade. The lady at the front desk was friendly and assigned us to a site. This place is very *green*. I'd hate to know what their water bill is like, but it sure makes for a nice stay! They have lots of lawn, and a little stream that runs through part of the park. My kids (2.5 and 4) enjoyed running through the sprinklers on a very hot day. Everything was clean and well kept. Had no noise issues with our plentiful neighbors. Everyone respected the 10PM noise curfew. If you need n RV spot in the vicinity, it's worth the extra drive to come here. read more

When we arrive the water pipe brook no water. Had to run a hose to a different camp site. Was there for 2 nights and they didn't fix. Then they tried to charge us to is it. Will never stay there. Said all sites had grass. Our site was mostly dirt. Small close sites. read more

This is a lovely park that we have spent many years visiting. Sadly last year they had a change in management and the new camp manager is jerk. We were so bothered that we left early and will not return until this camp manager was gone. He was in our camp at least 4 times, yelling at us for no good reason. Have stayed at this park before and had a problem once before but decided to give it another chance. Sorry I did! From check in, the hosts were extremely rude! They started telling me the rules, I told them oh yes I have stayed here before and know the rules, the woman came out and told me very sternly that I will listen to them again. I asked if we could check out an hour later, she told me no , we were going to the flea market in downtown and wanted to leave at 1:00 instead, even told me we could not park outside the park either. We ended up parking downtown McCloud and checked out at 6:00 am just to get out of there. Our power was another problem, our air conditioner kept going off, then the fridge kept trying to switch to gas, we had 30 amp, have always used that amp and after 7 times, went to the office, she tried to tell me we needed 50 amp! Not true! If we wanted air we could not run anything else. They did nothing about it. Also, someone next to us had two trailers in one spot which made us have neighbors one foot away from our bedroom, kitchen, everything, with no air coming thru the trailer. She said people can do what ever they want with their spot even though it made ours small. I am finding another spot to go, I don't care how far I have to drive. I am just done being treated rudely when I go up there to have a peaceful relaxing time and the owners do everything to make it a bad experience. They act like camp nazis! Just pulled in to an rv site here in mcloud, been here many many times, and love this place, just spent 6 days here a couple weeks ago,. Pulled in after 10pm the office was dark. Usually if the office is closed we find a site open and we pay in the morning. Done this for the entire trip every place we have gone, no big deal. But tonight a Gentleman comes up in his golf cart and treats us like criminals. Surprised he didn't call the cops. Made me un hook the towed back the rv out and wait for my wife to walk to the front office and pay and assign us a site. They were not full by any means and we were just spending the night. The lady in the office was really nice, but I'm not used to being treated in such a manor as if we just drive around in our $100,000 + Mercedes motor home and steal a sight for the night. He's approach could have been much better. read more

Really nice campground..loved all the green grass, ponds and landscaping. Close by local falls and beautiful scenery. We stayed memorial weekend...friday night there was a loud party til 3am. That was the only downside. Didnt seem to be any staff around to quiet them down. Otherwise nice place. read more

First time we stayed here and I was not impressed. We stayed in tent area and the grass was nice but your not guaranteed a fire pit, first come first serve, the tent site was 33.00 per night which includes 2 people and any additional people you pay another 2.30 per person plus another 1.00 per night per pet. On top of that if you set up a second tent in your same area, you get charged another 33.00 per night. The staff was very rude. Did not State anywhere in paperwork or office that you would be charged additional for another tent in your same area. The highway is right there so very noisy with trucks passing at night. Our friends had an RV and had to camp in a different spot because they don't allow tents in RV spots and there are no fire pits in RV spots. I will never stay at this park again. The only good was flushable toilets, showers and the grass area for the tents. Quiet time is 10 so if your sitting by your campfire you have to be quiet because your literally camped right next to the other person. read more

Stayed here last month for 4 nights. The park is older but very well kept. I loved camping under the tall pines. I would give this park 5 stars if they did a better job reminding people to keep their pets leashed. They list themselves as dog friendly, which we love because we travel with 2 dogs ourselves. However, there were so many dogs running loose. We were constantly picking up poop that was in our camp site which was not from our dogs. It amazes me how many dog owners who are not responsible. read more

We stayed here for one night. Our site was not the best as our fifth wheel barely fit. Plus the site was very uneven and it was difficult to level it out. There were also no directional signs throughout the park while exiting/entering so you did not know which way the roads were intended to be traveled. We enjoyed our stay but we would have liked to have access to a pool to cool off. We did get to visit the waterfalls along McCloud River in addition to the McArthur Burney Falls parks and those were absolutely stunning! I would highly recommend those. Just not sure if I would stay in this park again. read more

Stayed here in a premium cabin with my family for 2 nights. We loved it! I felt like we got the full camping experience while still have some comforts since we brought our 1 year old who would not do well in a tent. Cabin is very clean had just enough space for our family of 5. The kitchen had dishes and some pans but may not have ALL the pots and pans you may need. I didn't have a big pot, baking sheet, or wine opener. But we were able to make due without, and now I know to bring those items next time. There will very likely be a next time! We enjoyed our campfire, riding bikes in the park, and the nearby waterfalls. read more

Worst ever!!!! The owner (husband) is VERY rude! The wife is very nice. He was very unprofessional and doesn't care about customer service. He yelled at our son, as well as our friends a few spaces down about their boat. We were with a large group who have been coming for years, several of them will not be returning after this weekend. Spaces are too close together. Our first time here and will never return!!! Owner stated he will be banning bikes next year. Look at the reviews on this site, Trip Advisor, and Facebook, as they speak for themselves regarding the owner. It's a shame the owner acts the way he does and has people he knows leave reviews that are false, such as Gary H. We know who this person is. read more

Over the last 5years we passed by this place on our way to Mt Shasta, and thought we should try this place out. Upon our arrival we were asked to not use our water heater electric due to a problem with with the power feed and that the cable connection was not currently operating. The cable was soon corrected and operating but the power was an issue from the start. I noticed that whether I connected to 30amp or 50 amp the available voltage was less than 100volts and that wreaked havoc with my electronics, especially my refer and as a result, I couldn't keep my food cold, it is seasonably hot here, around 91 degrees, and it was necessary to run only one AC because running the second AC would have caused a system failure and damaged my system. This place has a electric problem, they can't provide enough power to accommodate the average motor home and it's currently 8am and the while the temperature is cool, I still can't get more than 100 volts. I would leave this place but it's not cheap to stay here and there are no refunds. Additionally, while they are pet friendly, I'm seeing many dogs off leash and I fear for mine. This is a nice place among the pines, but they need to address the power issue and enforce a leash policy read more

We come here about once a year and really love the beautiful grounds, stunning hanging flower baskets, and surrounding area - with the majestic Mt. Shasta as a backdrop, waterfalls, reservoir, etc. One issue this year though has been the intermittent Wi-Fi access and, more concerning, the numerous daily power losses. Be sure to use your RV surge protector. read more

Had to call to make a reservation because they wouldn't respond to a email. Should have been my first clue to the poor service, but thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt. Nicole who answered the phone after several tries gave me 2 options for a RV space. Said she was leaving for the day and turning the phones off and I could call her back in the morning to reserve. See assured me she would not give the spots away and would hold them until the morning when I called back. I called back in the morning and got voicemail and left a message. Nicole called back in the late afternoon and I asked about the spots and was told they had given them away that morning. She flat out lied and is incompetent and that is some of the poorest and worst customer service ever. I will never ever stay there and will tell everyone I know to stay away from this place. I will find another place that respects and responds to their potential customers. read more
