Everytime I come to SF I miss stop here. I dream of the Mac and cheese! Great ambiance of a magnificent view and music. The food is delicious and service is wonderful. I wish I could remember our servers name. Beautiful women who spoke Spanish to us. We were intrigued that she spoke it so well and she shared that she learned from watching novelas with her room mate! Thank you so much for taking good care of us. I can not wait to visit again.

SWOON - Those views. This has to be one of the best restaurants with views while dining in SF. Expansive views of the Bay, Alcatraz, the Bay Bridge and part of the Golden Gate. The restaurant is beautiful, there is a huge bar area (that seemingly has a good happy hour), and it's big! But sadly, the food is left to be desired and it's pricey, but to be expected. The move: enjoy the views and raw bar it up. Anything cooked is a bit suspect. The steak and fish were extremely overcooked. The kimchi crab cocktail went uneaten as it was just a glob of mayo. The chowder was eh? But those shrimp were tasty! My kids loved their kids hamburger bento box. Overall, enjoy a drink and some oysters and the insanely beautiful view. Skip the $75-$100 steak and $50 fish entrees. We had a gift card making it a bit easier to swallow and again, those views. Also the place is so beautiful but where the bathrooms are (which are kind of dingy, as well), they have closets with broken doors and things falling out of it... so weird, since the place other than that is stunning. Service was sweet, but far from fine dining.

The view is simply breathtaking. Being seated while gazing at Alcatraz creates an almost cinematic dining experience. The atmosphere is serene, intimate, and thoughtfully curated perfect for meaningful conversations and unhurried moments. We began with the fried calamari and the lobster dip, both indulgent and beautifully executed. Each bite felt intentional, refined, and deeply satisfying. For the main course, the linguini with clams was an excellent choice perfectly balanced, rich in flavor, and elegantly presented. The cuisine as a whole was truly memorable. I especially appreciated how welcoming they were to my pet, without questioning whether it was a service animal an effortless, respectful gesture that elevated the overall experience. Overall, we enjoyed an exquisite lunch with a luxurious ambiance and a view that is simply unmatched. A place I would gladly return to for another refined and memorable dining experience.

A pleasant surprise! We wandered in on a weekend afternoon and the place was pretty empty. We sat at the bar and the bartender went above and beyond! We wanted to try to recreate an oyster shot and he walked us through it. It was happy hour so we got the Fish Tacos, Lobster Dip and another dish I can't remember . Everything was great but the Lobster Dip was my favorite!

Came here for HH on a friday. Luckily it wasn't actually that busy! You can sit at the bar or the little bar area tables as well. Pretty good food options for HH but the drinks were a bit MEH. Beautiful views, so a great place to chat with friends or for a date. The prices weren't really THAT much better, but better than nothing!

This place has probably one of the best happy hours in all of SF. We stopped in last week because we were craving some seafood and it never disappoints. Oysters for $4 a pop and a discounted jumbo shrimp cocktail pulls me back every time. The drinks are all hand crafted and reasonably priced on happy hour. Might have to be a stop here every time we're in SF type of place!!

We ordered the lobster and crab dip as an appetizer and it was served hot and came out delicious! I woke up still thinking about this dish the next day! We ordered a Cabernet and we felt like the wine pour was very generous in a large glass which we were happy about! For our mains, we ordered the prosciutto wrapped halibut. The prosciutto was crusted on top and was honestly hardly noticeable as a flavor on the fish. The fish was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I enjoyed the mushrooms and tomatoes that complimented the fish as well as the fig glaze on the plate! The Chilean sea bass was also delicious! Both of these dishes were surprisingly filling after the appetizer. We ordered the loaded mashed potatoes as a side thinking we might need something extra and this one surprised us with how huge the bowl of potatoes was! You could definitely feed a few people with this as a side! We loved the ambiance of the restaurant as it sits on a side with a waterfront view of Alcatraz. Our server was very friendly and checked on us frequently. We were given a delicious chocolate cake with ice cream on top as a treat for visiting the restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner here from the food, service and ambiance!

Attended for a business meal. The location is splendid with wonderful view of Alcatraz. The restaurant was clean and well laid out. The staff there were very professional and welcoming. The drinks and food was absolutely exceptional. This was one of my most enjoyable business dinners in twenty years in this career.

Located in Ghirardelli square this is beautiful restaurant has ambiance and views that don't disappoint. The staff was polite and the service was excellent. Sadly the food was lackluster especially for the price. The salad was barely dressed and the steak initially came out super rare (we ordered medium). They were very understanding and re-fired the steak quickly. However the steak went from rare to well done. The food had potential but everything was under-seasoned and bland. If they could fix these things this place fits the ticket in every other area.

Not going to lie, we dined here with the initial intention of dining next door (got a bit embarrassed by the host there so we left) but we walked just a few steps and they welcomed me and partner right in -- it might have been right at opening. The host joyfully set us up right in the middle where we could enjoy the view of the water with no one around. (We also went on a Thursday so it wasn't too crowded in the morning.) 8/10 clam chowder. Absolutely delicious! I didn't realize how small the portion was (I believe it was $15 with the bread bowl-- pretty pricey but I'd order it again). 9/10 espresso martini. Absolutely yummy! Perfect balance of alcohol and espresso, it was very easy drinking it. 8/10 cioppino I actually couldn't eat a lot of this at the restaurant because I was really obsessed with their bread (10/10 might I add). The bits I did eat were pretty good, the shrimp was a little chewy both at the restaurant and when I heated it back up at home. It did come with two really delicious bread pieces that I dipped in the tomato sauce -- yummy! 9/10 salmon. Cooked really nicely -- soft to chew :) the mashed potatoes is a great addition (my partner ate it super fast)

It was my friends' birthday and we enjoyed some wine and small bites while we wait. The oysters were flavorful and fresh, complementing the sauces provided to us. The ceviche was considered irresistible by my friend :) Service was a bit slow on my end but requests were complete. I was a bit let down that one of the drinks wasn't on the house since the waiter forgot to make the drink until a reminder was provided. I understand charging for what we ordered but come on, it was my friends' birthday and no concession can be made? Ambiance was lively and full of people enjoying food at the bar and at seats too. The window had a nice view of Fisherman's wharf, which I can see why this restaurant has significant traction. If it wasn't for the view, I would not prioritize going here. The food is good but I wished the service was more enhanced.

Had higher expectations than what we received. Service was incredibly slow and not very efficient. Took over 30 minutes for our wine on an empty tuesday night, longer for our appetizers and entrees. Had to ask for more bread multiple times while we waited and the amaretto sour was made wrong. The food was delicious, however worth noting that the steak frites dish is absolutely drenched in sauce and mushrooms which wasn't made clear on the menu. After 2 hours of slow service we opted out of dessert. Also no music...

We have eaten here twice for dinner. The food was delicious. The atmosphere is very nice, the wait staff has been wonderful and the views are absolutely gorgeous.

We sat at this corner location of the restaurant. Spectacular view!

He was quite brusque. (It's salient to note we were practically the only people in this quite large restaurant, with miles of empty tables around us.) This effectively ended my visit as my feet would soon be numb. My friend had left a bit earlier, so I gathered my briefcase, coat and purse and made my way to the elevator. The wait staff looked on.
