    Tasty!

My family and I came here for lunch and honestly it's a nice restaraunt with a seaside view. The food is great if you like seafood, yet a little on the expensive side because this is a "date-night spot". Other than that, we enjoyed a nice family meal here in McCormick & Kuleto's. This restaraunt had lots of space at lunch time and we were seated by a window with a beautiful view of Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge. The food we ordered was the Blackened Salmon, cioppino, the typical turkey sandwich and fish n chips. The Fish n Chips actually had a great crunch and perfect deep fry. The salmon was flavorful, a little small in my opinion, but still good. The turkey sandwich is reporter to be tasty. So overall, this was a good meal! The service was professional and attentive, without a lengthy wait for our food either. I'd come here if you want to do an impromptu date-night or and nice time with your family. It's just fancy enough to make things romantic and just casual enough for you to not be out of your budget. :)

We had a group dinner with a party of 8 after our civil wedding ceremony at SF City Hall, and it was the perfect restaurant for our needs! We arrived much earlier than our 4:30 reservation so we started with Happy Hour drinks and appetizers in the bar area, which we had to ourselves at around 3:45pm on a Tuesday. (Happy Hour runs from 3-6 daily in the bar area) When it came time for our dinner reservation, we got a nice large round table as I had requested in advance, in the corner with an incredible view from the massive floor to ceiling windows looking out at the Bay. It was perfect for our wedding dinner! Service was great, and they let us take our time. We were seated for a little over 90 minutes. The crispy broccolini was a popular side dish with our group. I got the surf & turf (4/5) which was pretty good. Two people got the Chilean Seabass, which they enjoyed a lot. Most people that ordered steak liked their dishes as well. I was happy with their selection of alcohol free mocktails. I liked the White Cranberry & Strawberry Sparkler, and the Spiced Raspberry Cooler. Thank you to our server, Corrie, who did an excellent job and was very kind!

SWOON - Those views. This has to be one of the best restaurants with views while dining in SF. Expansive views of the Bay, Alcatraz, the Bay Bridge and part of the Golden Gate. The restaurant is beautiful, there is a huge bar area (that seemingly has a good happy hour), and it's big! But sadly, the food is left to be desired and it's pricey, but to be expected. The move: enjoy the views and raw bar it up. Anything cooked is a bit suspect. The steak and fish were extremely overcooked. The kimchi crab cocktail went uneaten as it was just a glob of mayo. The chowder was eh? But those shrimp were tasty! My kids loved their kids hamburger bento box. Overall, enjoy a drink and some oysters and the insanely beautiful view. Skip the $75-$100 steak and $50 fish entrees. We had a gift card making it a bit easier to swallow and again, those views. Also the place is so beautiful but where the bathrooms are (which are kind of dingy, as well), they have closets with broken doors and things falling out of it... so weird, since the place other than that is stunning. Service was sweet, but far from fine dining.

Everytime I come to SF I miss stop here. I dream of the Mac and cheese! Great ambiance of a magnificent view and music. The food is delicious and service is wonderful. I wish I could remember our servers name. Beautiful women who spoke Spanish to us. We were intrigued that she spoke it so well and she shared that she learned from watching novelas with her room mate! Thank you so much for taking good care of us. I can not wait to visit again.

The view is simply breathtaking. Being seated while gazing at Alcatraz creates an almost cinematic dining experience. The atmosphere is serene, intimate, and thoughtfully curated perfect for meaningful conversations and unhurried moments. We began with the fried calamari and the lobster dip, both indulgent and beautifully executed. Each bite felt intentional, refined, and deeply satisfying. For the main course, the linguini with clams was an excellent choice perfectly balanced, rich in flavor, and elegantly presented. The cuisine as a whole was truly memorable. I especially appreciated how welcoming they were to my pet, without questioning whether it was a service animal an effortless, respectful gesture that elevated the overall experience. Overall, we enjoyed an exquisite lunch with a luxurious ambiance and a view that is simply unmatched. A place I would gladly return to for another refined and memorable dining experience.

A pleasant surprise! We wandered in on a weekend afternoon and the place was pretty empty. We sat at the bar and the bartender went above and beyond! We wanted to try to recreate an oyster shot and he walked us through it. It was happy hour so we got the Fish Tacos, Lobster Dip and another dish I can't remember . Everything was great but the Lobster Dip was my favorite!

Came here for HH on a friday. Luckily it wasn't actually that busy! You can sit at the bar or the little bar area tables as well. Pretty good food options for HH but the drinks were a bit MEH. Beautiful views, so a great place to chat with friends or for a date. The prices weren't really THAT much better, but better than nothing!

I celebrated a birthday dinner with my bestie at McCormick's in San Francisco, and the ambiance was perfect. We sat right by alarge bay window overlooking the water, watching boats glide by and people strolling along the waterfront. It felt relaxed, scenic, and quintessentially SF. The food matched the view. Warm Boudin sourdough to start, a creamy crab and lobster dip that was packed with flavor, and my 12-ounce ribeye cooked medium rare--perfectly tender and juicy. The truffle mac and cheese and truffle fries were rich and indulgent. Service was warm and attentive without hovering, and the whole evening felt easy, celebratory, and memorable.

This place has probably one of the best happy hours in all of SF. We stopped in last week because we were craving some seafood and it never disappoints. Oysters for $4 a pop and a discounted jumbo shrimp cocktail pulls me back every time. The drinks are all hand crafted and reasonably priced on happy hour. Might have to be a stop here every time we're in SF type of place!!

Amazing customer service, a beautiful view, and delicious food made for a great experience. The only downside was the portion size. I had just finished a hike and was very hungry, so the serving wasn't quite enough to satisfy my appetite. Overall, it's a great spot!

We ordered the lobster and crab dip as an appetizer and it was served hot and came out delicious! I woke up still thinking about this dish the next day! We ordered a Cabernet and we felt like the wine pour was very generous in a large glass which we were happy about! For our mains, we ordered the prosciutto wrapped halibut. The prosciutto was crusted on top and was honestly hardly noticeable as a flavor on the fish. The fish was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I enjoyed the mushrooms and tomatoes that complimented the fish as well as the fig glaze on the plate! The Chilean sea bass was also delicious! Both of these dishes were surprisingly filling after the appetizer. We ordered the loaded mashed potatoes as a side thinking we might need something extra and this one surprised us with how huge the bowl of potatoes was! You could definitely feed a few people with this as a side! We loved the ambiance of the restaurant as it sits on a side with a waterfront view of Alcatraz. Our server was very friendly and checked on us frequently. We were given a delicious chocolate cake with ice cream on top as a treat for visiting the restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner here from the food, service and ambiance!

Attended for a business meal. The location is splendid with wonderful view of Alcatraz. The restaurant was clean and well laid out. The staff there were very professional and welcoming. The drinks and food was absolutely exceptional. This was one of my most enjoyable business dinners in twenty years in this career.

    Hearts of Romaine Caesar Salad

Located in Ghirardelli square this is beautiful restaurant has ambiance and views that don't disappoint. The staff was polite and the service was excellent. Sadly the food was lackluster especially for the price. The salad was barely dressed and the steak initially came out super rare (we ordered medium). They were very understanding and re-fired the steak quickly. However the steak went from rare to well done. The food had potential but everything was under-seasoned and bland. If they could fix these things this place fits the ticket in every other area.

Ask the Community - McCormick and Kuleto's

What is the dress code? Are jeans ok or is it more of a dressy casual?

    Jeans are okay.

Where is the best place to park my car (that's safe) and so my bf and I don't have to walk too far to this restraunt??? Need a place thats not sketchy. Plz let me know in comments asap!

Plenty of parking lots there, biggest is just to the east in front of the Franciscan Restaurant.

Are they checking their guests for vaccination cards?

    Yes

Do they accept Landry's gift card?

YES! As long as the name of the location is somewhere on the gift card... I used one when I went...one I got at Sam's Club... so I was already saving 20% because it was 100$ in gift cards for $80...

Do you have a corkage fee?

Yes they do, as most establishments do.

    Is there parking?

Parking can be really sketchy, i.e., Meter Maids ARE ticket happy: 1. Park in Ghirardelli's parking…

I'm trying to make reservations for this place. Is it better to book online or call?

I think its better to call them first.

Does anyone know if they have changing tables in the restrooms? TIA!

I believe there is one in the downstairs bathroom.
