    Deep fried oysters

I'm honestly surprised that I have never done a review for this restaurant. They are located at the Anaheim garden walk which has a paid parking garage with no validation. We typically make reservations to ensure we don't have to wait too long to be seated. You check in at the entrance and they have a waiting area. The staff is usually very friendly and welcoming. This location is an older one and shows some wear and tear. This can be a casual ambiance or potentially for special occasions. They are a seafood restaurant but also offer some steak options. My absolute favorite dish is their stuffed salmon. We came around Valentine's Day so they had a special menu so why not try it. We wanted to share an appetizer and our server suggested the fried oysters. They were PERFECT! They were deep fried crunchy in the outside and tender and juicy in the inside. They were really good and will for sure order them again. The menu included a soup or salad. I went for a fresh salad and my bf for the lobster bisque. The salad was a good size and fresh. The bisque was good, but we have had better. For entrees, my bf had the steak medium rare which was perfectly cooked. It was tender and juicy. I ordered a fish dish that was very tasty. I loved the steamed broccolini. We also chose to order their special valentines drinks. I had the martini which was very sweet and good, but one was enough. My bf ordered a smoked whiskey which he loved and they prepared at the table. When it came to dessert, we ordered the chocolate bag. It is BIG and definitely a sharing portion! It is hard chocolate with soft mousse in the inside.

Another Happy Hour visit and another impressive dining experience thanks to Parvana and the McCormicks Anaheim crew here. My 2nd time in the bar for Happy Hour and Parvana really made me feel special and I absolutely LOVED the fish tacos mmmm so good!! The bread was extra warm and buttery and the service here is impeccable. I'm definitely going to be dining in the dining room next time, but thankful for the impressive and attentive service from Parvana this evening.

I have always been a fan of McCormick & Schmick's. There used to be a location in Burbank, but this is the only one left in SoCal. Time was short, so I just came in for a quick meal. I started off with a nice cold Martini and a couple of Spicy Asian Shrimp Tacos with Asian slaw, kimchi aioli. This was a great appetizer, perfect for sharing, but more than enough for one, if you are hungry. I also had the Miso Glazed Chilean Sea Bass, with Miso Ponzu Broth, Stir Fry Vegetables and Udon Noodles. The fish was nicely cooked and the glaze was not too thick. The stir fry veggies were crisp and the Udon noodles were just about perfect. An excellent meal. The service was just fine and the bar is comfortable. If you are in the area, McCormick & Schmick's is definitely worth a visit.

Located at Anaheim Garden Walk, I had a fantastic lunch here. The interior is an upscale, old-school steak and seafood restaurant. Every dish has an exceptionally nice presentation. We started off with some warm, complimentary bread and butter. I also ordered an Arnold Palmer; they know how to make a quintessential one here. For my lunch, I opted for the fish and chips. The Fish and Chips plate consisted of three plump pieces of Alaskan Cod on top of a bed of thin fries. There is no better choice for fish and chips than Alaskan cod. Each piece was covered in a perfect, crisp coating. The fries didn't look like anything special, but they tasted incredible. I'm not sure how they were prepared, but I couldn't stop eating them. Service was excellent and prices were what one would expect at a classy restaurant like this, although the lunch prices were surprisingly reasonable.

I haven't been here in forever, and my last visit was also for Happy Hour, so it felt like a full-circle moment coming back. We were a party of 3 and luckily snagged three seats at the bar. Hein was our bartender/server and he was fantastic super friendly, attentive, and spot-on with recommendations. We ordered from their HH menu and did an upgrade on the Old Fashioned. For food, we went in: Crispy Asian Calamari- I love this! Definitely not your usual boring calamari. It's lightly battered, fried to a golden crisp, and tossed in this sweet-spicy Asian glaze that is ultra delicious. Perfect crunchy bite and amazing with a cocktail. Spicy Asian Shrimp Tacos- These surprised me! The kimchi aioli adds the perfect tangy kick. Really flavorful. Cheeseburger- My bf ordered this and he really liked it simple, classic, and done well. Truffle Mac (regular menu)- My friend planned for us to share it, but the portion was small so we let her enjoy it. I did get one bite, creamy, truffle-forward, and really good! Upside Down Candied Walnut Apple Pie (regular menu)- Hein recommended this and I'm so glad he did. It's a 10/10! Warm, cozy, caramel-drizzled goodness paired with ice cream. If you're thinking about dessert, order this and thank me later! Lol. Overall, a wonderful Happy Hour experience. Great food, and excellent service from Hein. We'll definitely be back to do a regular dine-in next time!

McCormick & Schmicks used to be my go to place for happy hour after work but when they took away some of their specials we stopped going. But we decided to try again and they did bring back the shrimp and shucks special but now they're $2 instead of $1 and on Friday now. Still a good deal so we look forward to going back. The food we had was really good and service was great. The inside bar area where we were at for happy hour is lively and plays good music. Some inconsistencies about parking validation. When we were here several months ago they did not validate, which was another reason we started going to happy hour elsewhere. This visit they did validate our parking. Overall good experience and we'll be back to try the $2 shrimp and shucks.

we came for happy hour and sat in the bar. The staff was busy, but the food and drinks came out quickly. We started with lemon drop martinis which were smooth and delicious. We shared appetizers of Calamari, Chicken wings, and Poke tuna chips. The calamari was probably the strongest course - a bowl full of delicious fried squid with a sweet sticky sauce and chilies. The poke tuna chips were actually spoonfuls of poke which were light and refreshing on top of fried shrimp chips. The menu descriptor said there would be kimchi in the poke, but I couldn't taste any. The bar and outside area was full of people enjoying the happy hour deals and I would definitely come back.

Sat a at hightop by the bar. Slow service; had to wave and then actually go up to pay. I had the chicken gnocchi and darn good - and the pic doesn't do it justice. Steaks also (looked) good.

We came here with a large work party but had reservations. The service was rough especially considering how many empty tables there were. It took over 20 minutes for half the table to get menus and water. We ordered a ton of food that was generally pretty good! Very classic steakhouse/ seafood vibes. Nothing overly exciting but well executed. The ambiance was strange with us in the middle of the room with a wall of booths with curtains you could close for more privacy on 1 side. They definitely get points for being wheelchair accessible and including a small lift inside to take people from the level of the main entrance down to the level of the side entrance. They were also very good with food allergies. I wouldn't necessarily pick this place to come back to, but wouldn't be mad if I ended up here.

"Miso Glazed Chilean Sea Bass" - $49.00 as the main dish

I placed a To Go order: "Seared Ahi Tuna" - $17.90 as appetizer "Miso Glazed Chilean Sea Bass" - $49.00 as the main dish Here are the food that I got. The Ahi Tuna looks fine, but the Miso Glazed Chilean Sea Bass looks like someone's leftover.

Service was absolutely phenomenal, our waitress was hilarious and fantastic. The food was decent, not quite worth the price tag. The filet mignon was nothing spectacular. The apps (calamari and carpaccio) were good

Such an underwhelming restaurant :-( Service + Atmosphere was nice! No complaints in the people or beauty of the restaurant. The food is where this restaurant lacks hard. I had the lobster bisque which was my favorite thing! So creamy and yummy, not fishy at all. I also tasted the clam chowder, which was great tasting! "Truffle" Macaroni had no trace of truffle taste, and was very bland and flavorless. Don't reccomend. Fish and chips were just bleh, nothing special, just deep fried fish and french fries. Tartar sauce didn't even taste like tartar. Sugar & Spice was good enough! Risotto was nice, and the salmon looked beautiful. Not enough butternut squash purée... Lastly, the buttercake itself was fine! However, it was heavily topped with strawberries (not stated on the menu), and I guess the chef decided to garnish with balsamic glaze which I mistaken for chocolate. I found that very odd. I immediately told the server about the balsamic glaze: he took it back, got it re-plated, and came back and explained on behalf of the chef that he believes the strawberries and balsamic glaze go together. I appreciate the chefs perspective and taste, but, the menu doesn't state i'd be receiving strawberries and balsamic glaze with my buttercake. Not a fun surprise. Overall, I would love to come back for only the lobster bisque. :-)

Seared Ahi Tuna and sticky rice.
    Julianna M.

I did not realize the ahi tuna would be spicy upon ordering it, and the flavor was just okay but not entirely to my liking. I would have preferred more rice. "Lucky You're Cute" cocktail was fruity and sweet, a little too sweet, but gave me a good kick, nonetheless.

A $500 down payment was requested to make the reservation. And when present for dinner there was a $900 purchase of food and drinks that needed to be met. When we walked in we were promptly greeted by staff. And after a few minutes were guided to our table towards the back. The restaurant was pretty spacious and they did have patio seating in the back. Mason was our server and went over how the dinner will progress. He wished my step dad a happy birthday once he learned of our special occasion. He informed us of the conditions of our dinning contract and went over the menu with us. To make sure we met the conditions of the contract we pretty much ordered double of each of the appetizers. I ordered the Scallops, shrimp cocktail, lobster mac, and cream corn. My sister got the escargot, grill asparagus, and mushrooms. We also order a few caesar salads. My mom ordered a few mocktails. The appetizers were delicious I really enjoyed the lobster mac and scallops. And now onto to ordering the entrees. I ordered the 16oz Prime Rib medium rare and Scallops potatoes. My party ordered 3 of the 58oz Prime Angus Cowboy Ribeyes with Scallops potatoes. My mom and Step dad shared one order, My sister and her son shared the second order and my brother had the last order to himself. His fiance and her parents ordered Austrian Prime Black Angus Filet. Overall the food and service was excellent. When it came to dessert we ordered a couple of Milky Ways and Cheesecake for the birthday guy. Since my mom worked next door and showed her employee badge we received a 20 percent discount. We were also granted free admission to their Saloon next door. Which usually charges either $10 or $15 for cover. I would return and highly recommend.

We had time to spare so we asked to look inside the saloon and it made us feel like we were in another state with the country vibes and ambiance. There is a cover charge to get in or an entree per person at the restaurant can override the cover charge. The staff here was nice and told us the above and let us take a quick look. As I mentioned, we arrived about early, about 20 mins prior to our reservation, were waiting on some friends, and so we decided to wait at the bar area. I was looking for a sweeter drink with tequila and not many specialty options so I settled for a beer. The bartender wasn't very pleasant and seemed unimpressed by my selection because mezcal is not my thing. After we ordered, a couple arrived after 5 mins of us ordering, ordered, were served their wine before us without a bill. But my husband and I were served about 10 mins after this couple and immediately given the bill. It gave the impression she was either unconcerned with serving us or untrusting of our ability to pay. Either way, not the best first impression at the restaurant. Sincerely gave the "stuck-up" vibes here with the bartender. Once we were seated, we had the escargot, oysters, lobster mac n' cheese, seasonal mushrooms, and the New York demonic priced at $170. Total bill was $390 with tip included. Now my opinion on the food was mediocre, the steak was cooked to our liking of medium but not a flavor that warranted the cost. Oysters were sweet flavored and escargot had little taste even with all the garlic. I don't mind paying the cost but with the initial service and the food being mediocre for the price, not likely a place I would go again. More of the, "tried it and it was ok" type of experience.

The hostess directed us to a super busy bar, even though there were tons of open tables. I don't think they had the wait staff available to serve tables. The bartenders were absolutely busting their butts managing all restaurant drinks, bar patrons, refilling drinks, and cleaning. They were even waiting on actual tables?! Honestly mad respect to how they were balancing everything and putting on a friendly face for customers and we tipped them accordingly. I would've had a mental breakdown. This led to us not receiving service or water until around 15 minutes in, place settings 30 minutes in, and didn't get a first bite of food until 45 minutes in. There was also a dish towel next to my place setting. The food was mostly solid. Filet mignon and corn brulee were great, but the other dishes like sea bass, mashed potatoes, and asparagus were average at best, typical of a chain restaurant. The sea bass was dry and tasteless and comparable to one going to Costco, getting a frozen sea bass, and pouring some soy sauce and sesame oil on it. The mashed potatoes also weirdly hardened up as the meal went on. Not sure if it was a one-off staffing issue that day, but it was a pretty bad experience for this caliber of restaurant and management should take note. A customer should not notice the clear understaffing while paying a couple hundred dollars for dinner.
