Great people, great food, great atmosphere! I love to go here when I'm in Wayzata. I'm Not able to go for awhile due to a family emergency, but I can't wait until I'm up to it to go back again! Lovely place, all around! So happy the bridge is open now! I'm looking forward to going back. Warm, cozy, and friendly. Very kind people...in a world that is often short on kindness. We had a party of 6 reserved at this restaurant we were having a good time talking etc. When the hostess said we had to leave believe we are senior citizens we are not rowdy.i was a waiter in the finest restaurant s for 20 years I have never seen this we will never go back. My friend and I were there at 4:00. We ordered dinner and 3 drinks each. The waitress got a generous tip. As we were finishing our after dinner drink at 6:00 the waitress asked us to leave because there were other people with reservations waiting. My mom and I came up to Minnetonka on a whim for a road trip, and we decided to visit McCormick's just based on a simple google search. It was excellent! The ambiance and decor was so fun. Our waiter was very personable, and prompt (so that we didn't feel like we were waiting around) yet relaxed (so that we could enjoy each course without being rushed). The burrata was seriously the best I've ever had! I had the steak-frites (10/10) and my mom had the fish and chips (her favorite of the places we tried in the area). Overall would totally recommend and would love to visit again someday! read more

Two friends and I went to McCormicks on a blustery Sunday morning and the warm atmosphere and amazing food warmed us up right away. The entrees we ordered - breakfast burrito with green chili, corned beef and hash with egg, and a tomato and spinach omelette- were all perfectly executed, and the tasty Bloodies did not disappoint. I was really excited to try McCormicks and the location is beautiful, but I was a little disappointed. I had the chicken teriyaki sandwich and it was so salty I couldn't eat it. My husband ordered a burger which was ok, but a little bland. I feel like maybe I should try this place again after reading so many good reviews. If I do I will certainly update, but for now it's not a place a would recommend. read more

This fine and relaxing dining establishment is becoming our favorite place to have great food and service, I had the grouper sandwich yesterday for lunch and it was outstanding! I have had breakfast here also and it was superb to the point of asking our wonderful as usual server to thank the kitchen staff as it was beyond expectations in quality and taste, a great place to relax and have a great meal, and with Harp and Ohara's on tap it is a big plus! the owner is a great guy too! Great atmosphere. Sat outside with 4 of us. We each ordered a different entree. Food tasted good, but was way over overpriced for the amount of food you received. Great place to go to be seen, not a great place for a solid dinner. We all walked away hungry. I could do same thing with scallops at home. Dont spend anymore than the burger. read more

Must be tough to find good and decent service staff in Wayzata...hostess wasn't what we call "customer centric" at all, and the waitress was just plain dry and incompetent. The best part? Another waiter who came and took pictures for us! I don't think we'd come back there...the food was good though, I must give them that. read more

This is my kind of place. Went for Happy hour on the bar side with a couple of friends. Great atmosphere - dark wood, golf and futbol flags and pennants hung from the ceiling. Nice representation of both local, British and Irish golf flags. A well mixed Old Fashioned made by our waitress/bartender Heather. Loved 2 types of sliders; tenderloin and scallop and an order of fried clams. Have eaten previously on the restaurant side. This is the place for comfort food. Try the chicken pot pie and fish and chips. I don't think you'll be disappointed. read more

I would say it's a high-end Irish restaurant/pub. We had late lunch / early dinner. Bacon burger for me with a delicious sauce. Grilled chicken w/garlic aioli and French onion soup for my wife. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. The staff was friendly and service excellent. We are outside on a dog friendly sidewalk area. Stopped by for a light dinner. Ordered the caprisi salad, and beef sliders. The salad came with bagged lettuce, and 2 small cherry tomatoes cut in half and the motsarella. This is the prime of tomato season, and they put 2 store bought cherry tomatoes on a $14 salad. We asked for more tomato, and 1/3 of an unripe tomato was thrown on top. We then noticed the salad had no olive oil, so we had to ask for that. The sliders were nothing special, but at least we did not have to ask to have them fixed. Left feeling like I would not want to go back anytime soon. Very poor value for the money spent. read more

Went to dinner here on a Sunday night. Our reservation was for 6:30pm and we didn't leave until around 8:30pm...not by choice. Our party had 5 people and we were given a 5th chair at a table for 4, even though the table across from us had 2 diners, sitting at 2 tables pushed together...and again, we had a reservation. Both food and drinks took forever to get to the table. A draft beer refill took approximately 20 minutes and it was rare to be given refills on any non-alcoholic beverages without asking. I do not eat any meat and specifically asked if the potato/leek soup had meat in it and was told no. While eating the soup, I realized I was chewing bacon. One of our party guests ordered french fries and when they finally arrived to the table, they were cold. Another party guest ordered a burger, in which the exact same salad she had already eaten as her appetizer was the side for the burger; this would have been nice to know. As an apology for the food taking so long, we received a complimentary dessert. It was a slice of cheesecake to be shared among 5 people and 1 of our party guests cannot even eat cheesecake, so the gesture was irrelevant. The atmosphere is nice, but I would think that with the limited tables and a very small menu, the food (and drinks) would have been delivered much quicker. It was extremely frustrating to see chefs chatting with customers in the restaurant while we waited an hour for our food. I hope that this restaurant improves. I would encourage them to speed up their service when the outside patio faces a giant clock. read more

Have gone 3 x for breakfast and service was great and Bloody Mary's were right on. Yesterday was a different story so it rates the two stars. Went late in the day for lunch and the Bloody Mary was blah and watered down and I wish I would of sent it back. Ordered the special on the happy hour menu - burger. It was gross and tasted like cheap hamburger meat. They also piled on greasy scraping from the grill - it was so unappealing and gross. I split that with my husband who ordered the veggie portabella sandwich. The portabella mushroom was cold and slimy and no flavor - just like the entire sandwich. No flavor in the tomato or the avocado and then served on a ciabatta bread. Both sandwiches were piled too high and a MESS to eat. My joy for this restaurant went to the back burner for sure. May return for breakfast but never again for anything else. I think they clearly order their produce from an industrial supplier - local and sustainable would be a great improvement. There clearly is NO flavor in industrial supplied produce. I was going to contact them before placing a review but there is NO email address on their site. read more

Probably one of my favorite restaurants Tim and Patty do such a great job at making you feel welcome! MAKE RESERVATIONS they are typically busy every Friday and Saturday night. The burger is to die for and good selection of Irish beers (you will not find a Bud or Coors Lt here). Try the Cheesecake it is AMAZING! Love the staff, Love the decor very good location. I hate trying to find places to park but the ramp is right next to place so no stress trying to find parking. HIGHLY recommend! read more

I've been to Wayzata many times and I can't believe I have never been here! The space is small and the seating is limited, but I'm in love with the cozy Irish pub ambiance! Stop by for a drink or two and if the side tables are taken, be prepared to share a high top with others and strike up a friendly conversation over a pint! Sláinte! read more

My husband and I had a very mixed experience at MPR last Friday night. It started when they could not find our reservation. They were able to seat us in the small dining room where we were the only guests until a VERY loud table of eight joined us. We could not hear ourselves. Your website said the special on Friday was Steak Diane which we were looking forward to. Turns out it was not the special. We ordered the Steak Frites medium rare and the fish and chips. Also requested a dozen good-sized oysters to share to begin our meal. The oysters were the size of half-dollars or smaller and arrived with one fork and no side plates. The steak arrived medium. The server did offer to replace or comp the meal. My husband said the taste was very good and he would stay with the meal he was served, no comp necessary. My first piece of fish was very tasty. When I broke into the second piece there was a very strong odor of ammonia. After fanning away the odor I did eat part of the second piece. Both meals came with way too many fries. For dessert we shared a piece of key lime pie which also was very tasty, although the crust at the heel of the pie was so hard that I had to use a steak knife to cut through it. All in all. my husband, who at first said he would never come back, did say he would come back for the Steak Frites medium rare, and I would try something else. MPR did comp the Steak Frites, which we very much appreciated. We will be back, but maybe not right away. Judie A read more

SALT. The food was way too salty. If I wanted this much salt, I would have skipped the meal and grabbed a salt shaker instead. There are other facets of food to enjoy besides salt. The truffle oil was unrecognizable because it was drowned out by the salt. Sad. When I experience this level of salt in a meal I have purchased in a restaurant or in frozen foods, or canned foods, etc.; I wonder if they are intentionally trying to contribute to their customer's high blood pressure. Sorry, McCormick's, but this just isn't healthy and it drowns out the other flavors in what could have been a nice meal. read more

Love this place for so many reasons. It's hard to feel at home in wayzata when your simply in the mood for a casual food experience. McCormicks definitely gives you that but with exception food. Absolutely love their burger, chicken sandwhich and house salad. For dinner, pretty much everything is great but the salmon stands out. What a great place. Wonderful choices the fish and chips are unequalled elsewhere. The pan roasted smoked chicken out of this world tasty. Nice people who own it and a great wait staff!! Went there recently for patio dinning so much fun with two tables of puppy dogs enjoying the great outdoors. As usual dinner was great service is wonderful and friendly.
