Mother's Day brunch menu. Beautiful space inside with colorful decor and great atmosphere. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly. Great customer service. Three separate stations... hot bar, cold bar and dessert. Hot bar highlights were the etoufee, fried chicken and white country gravy. Etoufee was rich, good depth of flavor with a little spicy kick. Chicken was seasoned perfectly with a crispy batter. Cold bar highlights were the shrimp and smoked salmon. Dessert highlights were the carrot cake and cream puffs. Definitely will be back to try the rest of the menu.

Dinner review I've come a few time here and it's inconsistent at best The food is very pricey for the quality - sometimes it's really good and then other times temperature is off and food is not good- must be depending on who is in the kitchen I prefer to sit at their bar - lovely friendly bartenders The atmosphere is always buzzing in here - can get very loud to have a conversation though This is a great spot to have delicious cocktails and maybe share that banana fosters crème brûlée dessert!!!

Love the atmosphere here! Just a beautiful place. Drinks are pretty! Food tasty! Staff is very nice. Fun vibes for the crew or a celebration.

Great food, drinks, service, and ambience! My husband rated the burger in his top 5 Minnesota burgers he's had (Blue Door is in there for comparison)! Services was also very fast and our server was wonderful.

Came for dinner with friends We had a great server who was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu My steak was cooked perfectly, I had the Cajun shoestring fries which were fine My wife had the Halibut which she said was good but not showstopping for the price point (over $40) The cocktails are excellent too The banana foster creme brûlée is a must for dessert Sometimes this place can be pretty loud to hold a conversation but we were in the back part of the restaurant which wasn't as noisy Parking is available in the free parking garage across the street

This was on the Happy Hour Bar menu!

If you're expecting a Wisconsin supper club experience, turn back. Mr. Paul's is down-to-earth sophistication, echoing New York or Los Angeles, but without the attitude. My partner and I stopped in after some worthwhile shopping in downtown Edina. Mr. Paul's is huge, with three bars and a patio. However, the design team ensured intimacy, and diners never feel they're in a cavernous space. We grabbed two chairs at the first bar we saw, and settled in to be taken care of by the charming Dante. He might have the same name as Signore Alighieri, but this Dante has more to do with the heights, rather than the depths. Mr. Paul's Dante is the consummate bartender, server, and spokesperson for Tommy Begnaud, the owner/chef of Mr. Paul's. He also owns Mothership Pizza. New Orleans-inspired, Mr. Paul's menu has all your favorites. We stuck with the happy-hour bar menu since it was 5:00 PM on a Friday. By the way, the joint was jumpin, with tons of people enjoying themselves. Our hamburger and chicken sandwich were large and delicious. We added a few Pimms cocktails, and life was good. Both of us were in Heaven, thanks to Mr. Paul's and Dante's protagonist at the bar. We will return to Mr. Paul's Supper Club with reckless alacrity. It's another great Minneapolis spot.

I've been here for both brunch and dinner, and overall, I'm a fan. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, conveniently located, and offers plenty of parking, which makes the experience seamless. This place offers large seating booth that are very comfortable, which makes this a perfect spot for groups, and the fact that they take reservations is a big plus for me since I can't stand waiting for a table. The food is very good, maybe not the absolute best in town, but definitely solid quality food, especially if you're after an upscale experience at a reasonable price point. My only real complaint is the limited menu; there were a few dishes I expected to see for both brunch and dinner that just weren't offered.

We visited Sunday night for our date night. We did not have a reservation but we got seated right away. We started off with the Nola Paloma and the Mr. Paul Sazerac to drink. Loved the Paloma it was so tasty. Next our appetizers blew us away. The grilled oysters and the meatballs with the cheese curds. The meatballs were a little spicy but not too overwhelming. For our entrees we got the lobster gnocchi and the double cut pork chop. The gnocchi was perfectly soft with decent portions of lobster. We did not like the Brussels sprouts because of the hot sauce or the Mac n cheese because it was a bit bland. Wonderful service and ambient lighting.

Came back and had a much better experience. There is a new menu and it was terrific! Also, a round of applause to our server who handled our group of 10 with friendliness and patience for our multiple substitutions and special requests. The Jackson Square cocktail was the star of the show and the only thing I managed to photograph. But so beautiful that it deserved its own portrait. (Earl Giles Gin, Grapefruit, Lime, Sparkling Wine, Basil & Paprika Oils) My seared salmon entree was perfection! Served with Poblano Bisque, Corn & Beet Relish, Chive. I'd honestly be interested in a whole bowl of the poblano bisque if it were offered. A great compliment to the salmon which was super tasty. Others in the family enjoyed steak, lobster gnocchi, roasted chicken, and scallops. Looking forward to another visit.

Our friends are regulars here, so when we had to decide on a spot for a birthday dinner, this was the place! Parking in the 50th and France area can be a bit stressful, but there's spots if you look hard enough ;) The interior of Mr Pauls is the perfect blend of approachable yet elevated and luxurious! Big, modern booths with eclectic and gorgeous light fixtures, and many a detail that didn't go overlooked make this the perfect spot for a special gathering. We had a reservation and were sat right away! Our server was responsive and engaged, and when the entrees got turned around in the kitchen, she made sure we got some complimentary snacks to hold us over! The Creole/Southern fusion cuisine is some of the better that I've had in the Cities! We started out with the Cornbread, which was a lovely kick-off to our meal! I had the Etouffee, which had plenty of shrimp, sausage, and rice to keep me coming back for another bite! We finished the meal with some cheesecake, which was delectable and rich! Mr Paul's is a great spot for your next celebration or date night! We will definitely be back!

    Easter Brunch buffet
    Greg W.

Went to the Easter buffet since I could walk (waddle) back home afterwards. The overall experience is the standard "fancy" affair where the wait staff gets everything for you; including cracking pepper on your plate. I'm not a big fan of that since it feels overbearing but I get how some people like the "white glove" aspect. That said, everyone was extremely nice and the setup was efficient. The prime rib was far and away the star of the show. Not smoked, perfectly rendered, juicy, and just charred enough. Biscuits were also fantastic and the eggs not too rubbery. Outside of that it was mostly "ok". The etouffee was mainly broth with just a few pieces of baby shrimp. The cold bar was Sysco lox, cheese, crackers, and fruit. Desserts were also Sysco packaged bars and danishes. The main draw were the beignets but I wish there was a jam to dip them in. Overall it was good but unless you're eating a ton of prime rib maybe not worth $50.

Vibrant and cozy interior with jewel tones, warm lighting, and inviting seating.

Amazing spot with rich flavorful gumbo and expertly crafted dishes. The interior is cozy and vibrant, and the service is friendly and welcoming. Perfect for a night out.

Amazing place for a dinner date with friends. Beautiful place with yummy food and great friendly service. My friends and I decided to try this place for a girls night out. It's a little on the pricey side but well worth it in my opinion. Everything we tried was delicious. We started off with stuffed mushrooms. Perfect way to start the night. For entrées both of my friend's got the Lobster Gnocchi, which was delicious. The Gnocchi was so fluffy and airy and just melts in your mouth. It's a must try. I got the Scallops with Pork Belly, coconut white grits with fresh Thai Basil, cilantro and coconut-chili crunch. The Scallops were cooked perfectly and the flavors were perfect all together. We couldn't leave without getting desserts. We all wanted something different so ended up getting the Beignets, Tres Leche cake and Cheesecake. We all enjoyed our desserts. It was the perfect way to end our night. We had a great experience and we will be back for sure.

I came here a few days ago during their "crabby hour" from 8-10 pm and we all each ordered our set of a truffle fries, a Granada slider, and a mahi mahi taco. The fries were incredible. They were super crispy, cooked perfectly and I love truffle with fries. The best part however was the aioli that came paired with it. It had a citrusy, umami flavor that was just so incredible I would have taken a whole jar home if I was able to. Absolutely perfect and can make any dish. The Granada slider was also awesome. It was bigger than I expected and included that wonderful aioli again, along with some greens, the patty, manchego cheese, and bacon. It was delicious and once again that aioli is just perfect and it was a much larger amount of food than I was expecting. I also had the mahi mahi taco as well which was good, but not my favorite. Nightingale was packed, but fortunately, once two patrons saw my face from the bar, they quickly paid their bill and left. My face often compels people to vacate crowded establishments in Minneapolis, and we often find seats. After grabbing the two seats, we ordered wine and a wonderful Amaro-based cocktail. Jules was our bartender/server, and although he was crazy busy, he found time to be gracious to us. We ordered the meatball appetizer, halibut, and the Nightingale hamburger. My halibut was sublime, cooked perfectly, and it wasn't drowned in sauce. Bravo! The meatballs were tender and delicious, but the hamburger was not memorable. It was good, not great. Despite all the accolades above, when the bill came, I was charged two dollars after requesting a cucumber slice for my Pimms Cup. Perhaps the source of this pettiness came from the kitchen, but it wasn't smart, because the $2.00 charge placed a shroud over my experience. The bill was $125, and because of the petty two-buck charge, I only left a $25 tip. I was going to leave a $30 tip. I will sadly remember those 2 bucks forever. Prices seemed a tad steep but frankly, given the quality of the drinks I'd say quite worth it. I started out with the Evita, a nice flavorful gin-base cocktail topped with a nice egg white foam. Our booth was comfortable and felt cozy. We had some snacks and drinks. The fries came out pipping hot (burned my fingers) and we ordered extra sauce for the second round because they were delicious. I also really liked the empanadas- they were filling with a nice amount of sauce. Two of our group also enjoyed they oysters (with optional add-on caviar). The bartender was able to customize my espresso martini to my taste (I like it creamy- I know, controversial). I will definitely be going back!

I would give them a 8.5/10 The Empanadas were SOOOO good. I'd give them a 9/10 Now to the entrees... dun dun dun So my wife and I ordered the Spaghetti Fra Diavolo it was very very good, it has a little kick but not overly spicy very good balance. I would highly recommend, I can see why it's one of the most ordered items on the menu! I'll add some courtesy bread to go with the pasta 8/10 Overall food experience 9.1/10 The atmosphere was great, lots of windows which lets a lot of light in but at night maybe hard to see inside. Overall atmospheric experience 9/10 Service was good had no complaints and even gave us free desert for my wife's birthday. 9.5/10

Martina is an ace with its bold flavored Argentinian cuisine and relaxing atmosphere. We dined on the patio, but whether you are seated inside or out, the ambiance is adorned with green plants, natural wood, and clean lines for a modern aesthetic that pleases today's diner. The food was a pleasure. The secret to the bold flavors is in the sauce. We started with an order of the grilled bread and a dozen oysters. I'll never say no to raw oysters (even on some occasions when I should have), but these were a great experience. The vinegar sauce served with these was a unique version that when paired with a dash of the shredded horseradish and a squeeze of lemon juice, the oysters were a punch of zingy perfection. The salted, vinegar infused butter that came with the bread elevated the dish. I chose the halibut for my entree and it was lovely (halibut is a win in any format). However, I would highly recommend the ribeye. My son got that and I sampled a piece with the accompanying chimichuri sauce and it was heavenly. The oils chosen to create that sauce were very well thought out so it made for not-your-typical ribeye and lent itself to something flavorfully unique. We want to return! Putting this on our list of faves when in Minneapolis/St Paul.
