McCormack offers fast and friendly service with a beautiful view of the lake. Parking is a bit limited, but there are parking structures available. The food was tasty--my husband loved his burger, and my club sandwich really hit the spot. A great spot for a meal with a view!

The ambiance is wonderful, both inside and out. Outside there is a view of the lake under a covered patio, inside is warm and inviting, what you think of for an old Irish pub. We sat inside in the bar due to a bee problem outside, this was not our intent, but glad they told us about it vs just sitting us out there. Overall the service was slow, we waited 15 -20 minutes to get our first drink. I ordered a Rachel, that came with a "special sauce" that has a kick to it. Unfortunately my stomach can't handle anymore kicks- totally my fault that I didn't look closely at the menu, where it clearly calls out special sauce. Lesson learned, look at the menu before ordering. The bottom piece of bread was soggy, my guess it was from the sauerkraut. I order Rachels all the time and have not had this happen before, I wonder if other restaurants I drain the kraut better to prevent this. I requested aioli to dip my fries in, I think I got straight mayo. My husband got the Fish and Chips, he was not impressed, he cannot pinpoint why, but it just wasn't that good. Coleslaw was good, but the compote of tartar sauce was not full and not enough. Both our orders came with plenty of fries. To McCormicks defense, we did not bring up any of this to our server, it had been a long week and neither of us were in the mood to complain.

Starting with the setting it is on lake st with a million dollar view of lake Minnetonka Yes "Princes" Purple rain lake Minnetonka it's a real Irish pub in Minnesota. They have a great menu all prepared with skill and pride we love coming here I had the fish and chips fresh perfectly prepared my wife had the mushroom Swiss burger and she loved the truffle fries we ended the meal with a key lime pie slice so sweet. The service is great with the servers knowing there fare well and the Guinness glows like spring water

Parking is at a premium in Wyzata, but it's free. I have yet to go to McCormicks and not find a spot within a block radius. But that's not why you go to McCormicks. You go for the Guinness. By far, the best I've found in the state and arguably, the best I've found anywhere. Not that I haven't had a single poured Guinness better in Boston, because I have. But it was one pour, vs every single time, getting something worthwhile. Honestly I can not speak highly enough about their Guinness. It's everything I could have ever hoped for so much more...every...single...time. Don't get me wrong, their food is good, their signature burger is wonderful, their truffle fries, worthy of brining home. But what gets me is obviously the Guinness. They are a super inviting bar/restaurant with wonderful views but you're going to be hard pressed to find an Irish pub with this much cleanliness, friendly and fast service, and warm feeling when you walk in the door. Honestly it's one of the few places I still visit where I feel like money was well spent. Love this place.

Really nothing special about this place unfortunately. Super small portions and the service is just ok! Not worth the steep prices, so probably won't be back.

Fun Irish pub in downtown Wayzata. We had a large group meeting there on a Thursday night and it was very busy. However the staff was more than accommodating, making sure we were happy and seating was ok. Really appreciated the follow on call during the day to confirm the reservation as well, so many places don't do this anymore. There is a large selection of appetizers. Everyone was very good. Can definitely recommend fried clams and wings, also the flash fried shishito peppers were excellent. You can choose from a number of mains including sandwiches, burger, etc. But they also have larger plates like steak fries. The fish and chips were really good. Beers on tap include local brews like Summit, Castle Danger and they also have Guinness and Smithwick's too. Service here is really good. Even with our large party, which was a handful, everything was timely and beverages were refilled quickly. This Irish pub is a great experience all around.

Absolute ripoff. Paid $27+ for this seashell pasta. Not much more than an appetizer portion. And not even tasty

However, it started to rain and the way the umbrellas are positioned, people ended up getting rained on. The table next to us had to lift their table and move it out of the rain because the restaurant wasn't able to accommodate them by moving them to another table. As for the food, I tried the brussel sprouts, sea bass, chimichurri steak, and lobster squid ink pasta with added scallops. They seafood was amazing. I would definitely get the sea bass and scallops again. Unfortunately they were out of bread so we couldn't try that, but I think all in all, I'd definitely come back. The chimichurri steak was good, but the baguette does end up being tough and soggy rather quickly, so I'd probably pass on that next time.

Four stars for the service and one star for the food…read more I went there with my family for Mother's Day Brunch and was severely disappointed. First off, what is up with the weird brunch menu? Sure you folks had scrambled eggs but no sausage? No bacon? No omelet station? Instead you serve some kind of veggie casserole, salmon, spiced carrots, and mashed potatoes? I guess I wouldn't complain if the dishes were done well but they weren't. Every protein dish was bland, bland, bland. From the prime rib, to the scrambled eggs, to the salmon...they all had absolutely no flavor. Oh, and you have to ask your server for salt & pepper for your table. The best things on the buffet line were the French Toast Bake and the mashed potatoes were decent. The desserts were more just sweet than anything else. Next Mother's Day, I'll book a reservation at Manny's.

So I found Benedict's online and thought it looked like a good choice. The restaurant itself is really bright open and airy. Lots of natural light and high wood beams. The restaurant employs an online wait list, which I love. So you join the wait list online, it tells you how long your wait is and the you can plan your arrival to minimize your wait. I was surprised that on a Saturday, we walked right in and were seated... it wasn't all that crowded (that said, there was a big No Kings rally that day so people might have been busy). At any rate, we were greeted and seated immediately at a nice table. I enjoyed the many options on the menu and also loved that you could order a single specialty pancake if you wanted one. I ordered the classic benedict. My husband got the tot hash. We ordered a strawberry nutella pancake to share. The pancake was good, though honestly the nutella strawberry topping was a bit meh. My husband said his tot hash was not what he expected (they seem to make their own tots and then deep fry them) but he did like it. My benedict was decent, but there was way too much ham and not enough hollandaise. I hate when people are stingy with the hollandaise. Coffee was good and strong. My peach mimosa was fine but honestly pretty small -- I'd be surprised if it was 8 oz. Service was OK. Nothing super major to complain about, but my mimosa wasn't delivered until I was almost through my first cup of coffee. The waitress clearly just forgot about it. She basically said so and apologized. I noted that many tables had lovely little bottles of water for when you wanted to refill your glass, but we did not receive one. It also bothered me a bit that there was a lot of "stuff" on the floor. Trash, bits of food, etc. I know that things get really busy at brunch spots on the weekends. But someone really needed to go around with a broom or a vacuum. It's just not what I expect from a dining establishment where I'm going to drop $80 on breakfast for two.

Here's my review of the food we ordered: Cocktail of the hour - aka "Golden Hour" - 8.5/10 Reminded me of mulled cider, notes of honey, very refreshing Pork Belly Steam Buns - 8.1/10 Nice texture, very tender and flavorful Mini Banh Mi - 7/10 Not bad, would have preferred the more traditional pork filling Crispy Chicken- 8.7/10 This really surprised me, from appearance the chicken didn't look that special but it was well seasoned and the sweet chili glaze really stole the show and elevated this dish! Mirabelle Smash Burger - 8.9/10 I'm a sucker for smash burgers and this one did not disappoint. Nice crispy bun and a special mustard sauce that we enjoyed and a different flavor I don't usually have on my burger Sticky Ribs - 5/10 Unfortunately these were quite dry and was comparing to sticky ribs I had last week at CoV that were fall off the bone Overall good spot, service, atmosphere, and would be happy to return. Very close to the lake(walking distance) There is a free parking ramp right behind the building. The decor of this place is cute! The details seem like they were well thought out! It feels upscale and cozy! I saw a video of this place and that was what originally drew me in! The seating here is also comfortable and not over crowded. Our server was ok. I saw so many raves about the "amazing service." She did refill our water glasses, which was good because I needed it with the salty steak! Obviously the most important piece is the food. We started with the popovers. The taste was fine but the texture was almost over done. The honey butter was lacking honey flavor. Cinnamon would have really elevated the butter! I got the steak frites and my sister got the spaghetti. My fries were average. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium all the way through! I was impressed. However, it was drowning in a VERY salty sauce! I had push a lot of it off. This should be served on the side, not covering the whole steak. My sister got the spaghetti, which our waitress explained was not a regular spaghetti. I feel she has probably had to do that multiple times and honestly, it should just be renamed. It's confusing for the customer. My sister did say she enjoyed the dish and that the shrimp was ere done well. For dessert I got "Aunties iced latte" which is their version of like an espresso martini. It was just ok. Would not get again. We got the carrot cake which was good!! But then they ruined it by putting fake whipped cream.... This is supposed to be a higher end restaurant and that made the dessert feel so cheap. We also got the creme brûlée. DO NOT ORDER THAT! It is an absolute waste of money! The sugar top was so thick we couldn't eat it! The dessert had the consistency of scrambled eggs, not a smooth custard. The taste seemed ok, but whoever made this does not know what they are doing! Overall, the food was not memorable and a lot of it was done poorly. There are definitely better restaurants in the area.
