I do not normally post negative reviews. However, I want the public to know that you DO NOT want to have your tires realigned at this tire dealership. I went there to get my tires rotated and they recommended an alignment because they said my car needed it. My car felt fine, but I trusted the owner. After the realignment, my car started pulling to the left. My car didn't even need a realignment. My car drove straight before they realigned them. I went back in there the next day and they said my car does not pull to the left. So I go in the next week because my car is pulling to the left toward traffic, which is very unsafe, and they say that I have to have calibration done through my power steering system at the dealership, after waiting 2 hrs. They seem to get a lot of business, but I want to let you know that now I have to pay my dealership to somehow fix my car back to the correct alignment. Ugh!! I give this establishment only one star because they reimbursed me for the cost of the alignment that they charged me for that they fraudulently told me to do. At all cost, steer clear from this place. They will screw up your vehicle!!Buyer and customer BEWARE!!! read more

They did a great job aligning my 2017 sti. I've been taking my car to the Subaru dealer since I got it and they were never able to get the steering wheel centered and camber adjustment correct on a 100% stock car. Brought it to these guys after upgrading parts and car being too "low" for dealership alignment rack and they got it spot on first try! Vehicle drives straight even when going WOT. the steering wheel is straight even when going over roads with bad crowns. I feel like the Subaru dealer techs are lazy and ripped me off after so many bad experiences. they would always blame the off center wheel on bad roads blah blah blah. One thing I might add is I wish their pricing was a little more competitive as I spent the same as the dealer but my experience was well worth it. read more

Brought my 04Honda for an alignment as I was driving away I immediately brought it back they rechecked it was close to closing time so they didn't fix it brought it back the next day they said they put it with inspect yet the car was almost worse than when it came in. Had to get it rechecked out again a different shop they tell me the toe was off just a little bit and that's why it was pulling to the left. I try to tell the mechanic at McCoy tires but was completely ignored and the manager was no help either both of them. read more

Don't ever go near this place. Wish I would have never gotten my suburban aligned here. Its never been the same car. It squeals on left turns, pulls to the right, and wanders all over the road. How hard is it to align a stock Vehicle? Oh and they said, "we didn't do the caster because the knockouts were still in and that would be extra" wtf? Guy was rude, total attitude, and over priced on top of it. Im afraid to take it back and have them pull out all my cotter pins. Stay clear of these clowns. read more

Happened to find the shop on Yelp and stopped by as my tire pressure lighted turned on. I was triggered to find an alternative after calling Toyota dealership service department and getting a quote for $120 just to find out why the light was on. My first impression was great, the shop was busy however the store was a bit quieter. Was treated nicely and offered to look at the truck with no hesitation. Max wait time was under 30 minutes. Walked out McCoy's with ZERO due and tire pressure light off. Want to thank the entire management team as they have performed great service and won a new customer. read more

I was in need of having my brakes replaced and had been holding off for far too long. I had gone around asking for quotes and finally arrived at McCoy Tire. I called and asked if they had availability at the time of the call, which they happen to have, and I took my car in immediately. They were courteous, professional and explained everything to me in a way that I would understand (I'm not exactly a car person). They were able to schedule me for the next morning for a rotor turning and new brakes. Let's face it, it's not cheap for brake work but it was entirely reasonable especially for the customer service experience. I'm thankful that they have me feeling safer on the road again and my brakes are as smooth as butter now! They have won me over and I will be using them for any work they are able to do. This is my first review for a tire or Auto service ever on Yelp. Anywhere else i can write one for this place, I'd be compelled to. I stopped by after seeing their sign outside for Free Brake Check. My car started making that horrid screeching sound when you need to replace the darn things, so I figured I'd have them give me an assessment. They were in the middle of servicing other cars, but told me they'd be willing to check my car between jobs. I was given a detailed explanation as to the noice and why it does that. No other place I've ever gone to myself cared to teach the customers anything. I'm a 26 year old woman. I should know more about my car, or cars in general and I am always willing to learn. These gentlemen answered every question I had with integrity and a reassuring smile. Very understanding people. I decided to get my brakes taken care of here. I made an appointment, they scheduled me quickly, and they gave me the best price in town to replace the first two brake pads. The tire shop to go to. I called to get a quote on my tires. Got the quote right away with a couple of choices to choose from. The person I'd spoke to was very informative and helpful. Too bad I didn't catch his name. Went there in the morning on a Wednesday and they are still very busy. The wait wasn't long. Took about an hour to get all four tires changed. In on the same day and didn't need an appointment is a plus. However the person that was helping me in the front desk was kinda rushing and not so informative as the person that I'd spoken to over the phone. The prices was also more. But he took care of me. When I was checking out. The person that I'd spoken to over the phone caught the price differences and changed it for me. Which is a good thing cause it's cheaper. Really appreciate that he did that. Great service. I recently went in for a free rotation and the young man rotating my tires was very helpful. Not only did he rotate my tires but he noticed that my brake pads were getting worn down and suggested I buy new ones. I told him to do them and so I sat down in the waiting room which to my surprise had water, coffee, and snacks. So glad I found this place years ago! Recently purchased a new set of tires and was given some options and able to drive off same day and within a couple of hours. Brad is always friendly almost like he's waiting for you to stop in! Fun story.. 2008ish.. and several cars ago, every time I'd make a turn there was noise coming from the front end tire area. Naturally I googled what the cause could be and determined I needed new cv joints! This was my first time ever stopping in at McCoy on Mchenry. I thought for sure it was going to be a super expensive stop however turns out my front tires were just so worn out the noise was the shredded tread hitting my wheel well and all I needed was 2 new front tires! That day this business won my trust, I knew nothing and they were honest & didn't take me for a ride! Brad also taught me the importance of regular rotations to get the most life out of your tires. Had tires rotated, balanced and aligned. Was driving down Hwy 99 and the truck started shaking violently. I pulled over and found one of the lug studs broken. All 32 remaining (all four wheels) were loose. Secured wheels brought back to McCoy Tires only to have Brad use every excuse but never take ownership. I had to get very insistent that they inspect it and replace all damaged studs. We headed out to Idaho the next morning and amazingly they never came loose after being torqued correctly. We drove over 2000 miles in the last week without any issues. Brad didn't even offer to refund any money or offer anything for our inconvenience, . We are sure fortunate nothing bad happened to us when the wheels started coming off on the freeway. I was a faithful customer of McCoy Tires for many years. Very disappointed. Have had a few things done here. First was a diesel truck that had a brake issue and they had the same thoughts I did, a sticky caliper. They also did rotors/pads on this truck and bingo, problem fixed. Second was another truck and this one I had new tires put on, but also a basic checkup. This checkup ended saving me about $3,000 from another mechanic who tried to say my truck was in need of a lot of parts, most of them being front end bits, like ball joints, brakes, bearings, and other stuff. Because of buying my tires there and getting a checkup, I knew what shape my truck was in and they saved me. With the tires, the price was right, service was friendly and fast, along with lifetime roations. They will have all my business now for tires and brakes, or anything else that they can accomplish.
